How to rank up: stop caring about what rank you are Fr tho, at low to intermediate skill level you should just learn, practice, experiment, play, and have fun! If you’re able to attend your local tournaments and casual events then engage/interact with your local scene as well! I’ve improved so much over the past few months simply by going to my locals, learning from the legacy players there, experimenting, and prioritising having fun and learning over caring about my rank placement.
locals are an absolutely amazing way to learn extremely fast, and have a ton of fun with it! theres nothing more fun than going to a stacked local with your friends, trying your hardest, and then spending hours after the tourney grinding matchups, I completely agree!!
@@thruerius Thats totally understandable, ive had very similar situations haha. Sometimes Ill go to tournaments literally just to hang out and get friendlies honestly haha
@@AveryxFGC im from Brazil so we dont have many tournaments here, not even famous players I think. But i believe in you, tournament is pure fun probably. But in ranked lose is so fucking terrible haha. Days a go i was pretty close to a ganryu promotion when i started playing and i won my first match. The second match was a promotional and i lost it. And after that i lost like 6 or 7 in a row, it was crazy, i just couldnt win. So i start being salty looking for a win that never came. Your points about observing timing is fantastic, especially when one doesn't know the frame data yet. I haven't seen anybody else describe the battle "rhythm" in ones, twos, and threes like so, great way of articulating that.

The thing that got me from being stuck to Shinryu to getting to Flame Ruler is constantly stepping back to evade and decrease the reach of the enemy + Yoshimitsu's spin evasion move.

That's not fair to that player bc you kept comboing from low hits so it forced him to go low and risk 50/50s. That wasn't him not understanding...he's trying to to get off of his feet into a juggle
what isnt fair huh? the entire video is about me showing how you can learn your opponents habits. he was afraid of stand blocking because he isnt aware of the threat of ff3 because no one is doing that in orange rank effectively. I point out at least once or twice moments where he was flinch ducking and explained that I am going to abuse that because hes afraid. theres no "fairness" to a fight, he didnt understand it and I exploited it, which was the entire point of the video. I forced him into a situation he was uncomfortable with and won, thats how tekken is supposed to be played im confused?
@@AveryxFGC fair in the sense that you call him out for low blocking but whenever he stand blocks you sweep him or low punch. The game is to mix him up and keep him confused but don't say he doesn't know what he's doing, that's not fair to him. He's trying to guess your moves
@@kylethomas8655 im not insulting him, nowhere was that meant to be an insult to the player, but its a fact. this was the dudes first tekken, and hes orange rank. he understands that I have a hellsweep and that is it, he doesn't realize that ducking a hellsweep every time there's a mixup is how you get blown up, and thats exactly what happened. He was afraid of the hellsweep because hes just been hit by it in low ranks and hasnt experienced the actual mixup, if he did understand he would not have gotten 0-2ed when I was explaining something for a video. He didnt punish any of my Df2 attempts because he doesnt know the frame data, and used WR2 as a general low block punish for every single move, on top of that he didnt even understand his own characters punishes, combo game, and moves in neutral, he barely hit me with any lows, and used the same moves to approach every time. He was not aware at all of how the character worked and it shouldn't be seen as an insult to say that a beginner level player who cant punish any of my unsafe moves and just understands the basics of kazuyas mixup game that he is still a beginner learning how to play the game. I never insulted him, never called him bad, and I even gave him compliments at the end of the fight for sticking with it and attempting to adapt. My entire video was about how everyone at these ranks are still learning the character, and because they dont fully understand the character yet, you look out for those signs and exploit them. the dude had a solid law for orange ranks and was on like a multiple game win streak, me playing him and breaking down what im doing shouldnt be taken with offence? its a video on how to look for someones weakness and if it wasnt a weakness I wouldnt have exploited it multiple times and beaten the player 2-0.
