I hope you all enjoy it! ONTO THE NEXT! 💜 EDIT: I don't know what happened with Rob Squad Reactions... I used the wrong label for them. A mistake I missed during the final viewing of this video. My sincerest apologies!!
Their '82 tour was the first Farewell Tour. It was an epic show, for sure. In 1976 they were ranked as the LOUDEST ROCK BAND in the World! (just beating Deep Purple by a few decibels)
The Who is an element of their own. Keith Moon the drummer is who they created Animal from the Muppets after. Fitting one might say. Incredible to see the double feature. Thank you very much for this.
This song kicks you in the balls from the get go! Nobody drummed with the speed of Keith Moon. He was Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa rolled into one crazy, manic, speed demon on drums. Keith Moon...AKA MOON THE LOON! Add in killer vocals, The Ox on bass and Townsend with his filthy guitar! Also the changes and subtle acoustic work and piano work was a tapestry of sounds from bombastic to delicate and everything in-between!
Keith Moon!!! One of the best!!! This song shows off his much aligned talent as a top drummer of all times! The breakdowns in this song are awesome! This is the last album before we lost Keith...special...thank you Wondermomma...love this !!! 💔 You are amazing!
John is the definitive bassist. He doesn't get much credit, but "Ox" was pure master of the LOW END. He's the reason why The Who's "studio sound" really felt Massive or HUGE sounding for that time. Then you add Keith's crazy drumbeats in, and you got that 60-70s SOLID rhythm section in The Who rolling. RIP to both legends!
The Who kicked all the ass all the time. Truly great, everybody growing up in this generation had the who in their catalog. Keith Moon is a drumming legend, roger’s voice, Pete’s eccentric guitar playing, entwistle’s groovy ass bass lines…get out of here!
Growing up my older friends love the who. I didn't at the time. I was listening to metal. Now I can't get enough of the who. Thanks for this comp. It's wonderful
I love The Who. Especially Who Are You, Baba O’Riley and Won’t Get Fooled Again. Yes the CSI songs. Thank you! Keith Moon was awesome. He’s so funny in the video of the band recording this song. He’s laughing the whole time. It’s hard to laugh silently. 😂 Back in the day recording was on tape. No noise allowed when taping. It’s not digital. Or it wasn’t. People forget that. Pete is a genius. I love the music and he wrote it all. As always, thank you, Momma!
I so love this band. One of the most amazing concerts, yet tragic nights in my teen life (first and last time I saw them live), The Who Tragedy in Cincinnati 1979. Such a great concert, then to come out and see what was happening outside, mind blowing. Carnage and death. It devastated the band. Still love their music, but cant hear it with out thinking about that night. Thanx so much momma, take care, stay groovy, Peace
😭 I’m so sorry you experienced that. I’m sure it has left a long lasting scar on your heart. I wasn’t even born then but I’m aware of the incident and I always come to shows after gates open and I tend to stand on the outside of the crowd for that very reason. I hope you still were able to see other live shows over the years. ❤
Awwww, Thanx hun, Yes it was awful. Actually some who were in the front got it worse, they were pushed against glass doors untill the crowd pushed them thru the glass doors ripping their skin and close off. Others sufficated. As we were leaving we were told some of what was going on, so I expected death just not the bloody scene we walked into. I went to plenty of concerts after that, just wasnt able to see The Who again. Plus they didnt come back to our area untill 40+ yrs later. They were tramatized by it. I was 14 at the time. Everyone there was between ages 14 and I think 29. Always know ur exits, buddy system, Keep distance as much as possible. Keep arms open in front of u to keep air flow. Watch ur footing. Be safe, enjoy every second. The memories r a treasure forever. The Who concert was amazing, the after was horrifying but it made us aware and careful. Thanx so much, take care, stay groovy, Peace@@sally2shoes
This is the very song at age 11 introduced me to the greatest music ever ROCK AND ROLL!!!. It was 1978 and I was in the back seat of my step-dad's car and my step-brother got into the car changed the radio station to WMMR Philly. This song was on and as soon as he said "who the Fuck are you" I was hooked. Have been a huge fan of all ROCK MUSIC ever since!!!
Drummer Keith Moon and bassist John Entwistle were the power duo behind the Who With Roger Daltreys vocals and Pete Townshends guitar and lyrics, The Who absolutely rocked.
I just found you and have been binge watching this evening. I watch most of these reactors and enjoy seeing them in a compilation. Your editing skills are fire! Love your videos and have subscribed. Really enjoyed this double feature ❤️
@WonderMommaOG what another wonderful creation video edit you have made and a double feature too! Keep them coming sister so awesome and such good Music choices
Tell me how I am supposed to get tomorrows video done with this song stuck in my head 🤣🤣I grew up with all the British Rockbands of the 70s and them using this song in CSI Vegas doesn't help. Now, all I see is Grissom and his spider collection.😂😂
For anyone WHO hasn't seen, should check out the scene from Louis ck's TV show. This song plays while he's driving and rocking out with his two daughters are in the back seat. Bet a lot of dads have done the exact same thing :)
Great Job! I loved this double format! Nice change up! I appreciate all the extra work you put in! I'm no editor, but I think it would have been difficult to splice those 2 versions together and come up with a coherent video. I think you made the right decision. 👍
I heard an interview with Pete Townsend, where he explained that initially the song was supposed to be a sort of sweet questioning about God and his place in his life. And then he heard the way Roger Daltrey interpreted it and the way he’s sang it was such aggression and it changed the tone completely.
Not just a two-fer, but a Who-fer! Herein lies proof that absolutely everything has purpose. And in the spirit of Maynard's "a different angle/a different light" premise, I find it to be like one of those holiday boxes that's, like, 17 beautifully wrapped boxes with a piece of bubblegum at the end. So, congrats, #Momma, you got me to sit through The Who. I seriously urge you to run for office. And now, I'm off to watch the Lynard Skynyrd video again. Thanks, #Momma!
The Who are one of my favorites. Y’all need to explore rock from the late 60s through the 70s and 8”s. Real talent. Real musicians. Lots on live shows. We were spoiled 🙌
Great song for a bunch of awesome reactions. Love the second version and having some in studio video of the group. They were totally a rock and roll band to the T. Keith Moon is one of the all time drummer by far. But also an absolute nut job….Moon the Loon. The inspiration for the Muppet Animal (no lie). And a super disturbed individual. He was out there. That's TAPE around Keith Moon's head and headphones, because he was so animated when he was working, his headphones wouldn't stay on. The Muppet named Animal by Jim Henson was inspired by Keith Moon.
Oh Momma! Another masterpiece. Damn, one of my favorite songs of all time and top Who song. I know there may be some “better” songs but this is my pick. You doubled up instead of the behind the scenes and as much as I miss that, this was awesome! ❤ I told you previously I had one that I thought would be a candidate. Well now I have another. It’s not ready yet, still building it up. I can leave you a place holder for the future as this guy, Eduard, he already mashed them together. For the record, Wings of Pegasus has recently analyzed the video and singer and no autotune no pitch correction. Clean vocals on the new one. So a classic song remade 54 years later. Put a pin in it, while not as dramatic as my first idea, this one will be more well known, I think. Love your work keep doing it! You Rock! I read about the origin of this track, Pete Townsend (the lead guitarist) was known to be a bit of an angry quarrelsome guy and one night they were backstage after a gig and he and Rodger Doltry (the lead singer) had one of their many disagreements. Pete was pissed off, high, drunk and went out into the crowd who were mulling around listening or waiting for the next band to play and Pete (a tall guy) walked through the crowd saying "who are you, who the fuck are you" in people's faces in an angry tirade. This is where the idea for the song came from. He and Rodger had a few fist fights during their time together!
No, actually & factually listen to the lyrics, it's about what Pete put himself through after receiving a $200,000 advance from the Label to go towards the next album he got toe up in a Soho Bar to which he was asking everyone " Well!!! Who are you?!!! who the Fk are you the ?!!!" Even to Stevie Jones of the Sex Pistols adding " Well!!!.. F@&King take over then your IT!! You own the scene!!" Keith Moon.. good grief.. every single time I hear this song, it's amazing all over again...
Saw them in '82 The Clash opened for them, one of greatest shows ive ever been to!

My favorite WHO song. I can relate to what Townsend was saying having lived it myself when I was young. Great songwriter!
When i listen to this song so does my neighbors. OBTW, this is why baby boomers think your music today sucks.

2. My neighbors called the police.
