I own the 98 QM850G. I picked it up for $2998 about a month ago. I am absolutely blown away with the picture quality after dialing in the picture. I haven't played any games yet, but I have watched several 4K blurays, and I stream with a separate Google Chromecast. I own last years QM8 in an 85" as well.

I’m pretty sure that Sony focus isn’t completely on TVs. They make millions renting huge virtual studios to film makers. No other company makes revenue off of movies and recording studios like Sony. They will be fine
TCL will catch up for sure , just depends on the input source and motion and upscaling and color accuracy , if they get that they will over take Sony , there Cheap cos Tcl are 100% owned 😊
Sony is king in influencer space only. They are less than 10% of sales in the TV business. They don't reduce prices because they don't sell enough to have lower pricing . They are happy in their market segment all things considered I think.
You are talking about Sony being " King". In the days of big box CRT TVs , early LCD and Plasma, Panasonic, another Japanese pride and joy was King and now the King has returned to the United States! They have all the screen technologies plus budget models too.
I bought a cart stand I don't have kids it can hold up to a 75 inch I'm waiting to be delivered today to see if I get the movie theater experience it didn't cost much

Will the QM7K lineup include a 55" ? , if so do you know if it will have a Bang & Olufsen audio system , they were a very high end audio maker back in the day ! Great way to start the day !! U8N has better blacks and more accurate color out of the box. QM8 is brighter and has less blooming. Based on sale price and size get the QM8 for 98" and the U8N for 85". At 75" it's a bit more interesting since the U8N uses an ADS Pro panel which has better off angle viewing at the cost of a lower contrast. So get the U8N if one wants off angle viewing and the QM8 if off angle isn't a concern at 75" size. The sale price is the same at 65" so get the U8N if you want better blacks and more accurate out of the box color or the QM8 if you want a brighter picture and less blooming.
yet no reviewer buys this crap. The main reason is that the upscaling of TCL and Hisense is nowhere good as other brands. The viewing angles are also really bad.

Comparing to hisense u8n. Which one do you prefer, qm8 or u8n?

Im waiting for the 2025 version. Only thing i don't like the inputs on the left side. I would have to move all my stuff around 🤦🏾♂️

All VA panels have poor viewing angle. It is VA panel property, just like WOLED has poor color luminosity.

Can you check your calibration settings and see if your TV supports calman the 98 inch I have does not
