  • If you went through the application guidelines already, you know you have to submit a digital portfolio - with no more than 10 or 20 images, usually.
The advice I received during Fashion Folio was to turn my A3 pages into PowerPoint slides as page spreads, like this: www.flickr.com...
This album actually has more than 20 images/slides, I might have included more pictures afterwards... but with a critical eye, you'll see I could remove at least 3 of them.

Helloooo thank you for your video!
I have two questions about the mini portfolio:
    1) if my miniportfolio is accepted and I’m asked to upload the big 30-slides portfolio, does it mean 10-slides portfolio + other 30-slides portfolio? Or just 30 slides in total?
    2) if I’m an international student, can I apply skipping the foundation year?
    3) in the mini portfolio, the fashion sketches are the ¨processs¨ of how to develop a collection?
    4) because in the mini portfolio the ¨final project¨ is two pages of finished fashion illustrations, I don’t have to include garment pieces or finished clothes?
Once again thank youuu this is so helpful

Hey Isidora! Thanks for your comment, here are my answers:
      1) Not sure about that since I was an internal applicant and got to show my physical portfolio, so check with admissions office or your local international rep (since it seems you're an international applicant)
      2) That really depends, if you're straight out of high school I don't see a reason to skip Foundation (it's called that for a reason :)).
But I've helped someone from Canada, for example, and by age 21 he'd already finished some Fashion training that maybe wasn't equivalent to a BA officially, but he was definitely beyond foundation level + had extensive work experience for his age.
If he hadn't been accepted and ended up doing a gap year, I'd even say he'd be ready for Grad Dip or even the MA on the following year.
So really, it depends on your level.
      3) the sketches can be part of your process, or they can be more polished illustrations for your lineups.
It's YOUR process, so you get to tell how that story goes.
      4) again, that really depends on your level. final garments are extremely important for an MA application, for example.
But you need to show interest/knowledge of textiles and materials since you're applying for a Fashion degree, so it'd be good to include something to showcase that and other relevant garment construction skills.
Hope that was helpful, if you want me to have a look at your work please consider getting a mentorship session with me!
