I can remember owning or sampling almost the complete lineup of Wisdom Tree game cartridges on both the NES and Game Boy. The most difficult game I ever played was Exodus as I could never get past the first few levels where Moses had to gather mana while avoiding the Pharaoh's guards.
It is. It's a rebadged Famicom game but yes both were official. Extremely rare though. I never saw it anywhere when I was growing up. Didn't even hear about it until the internet.
I always find if fascinating when across the pond the NES gets a lot of retro coverage. Because I know the 64, Spectrum and other machines were far more relevant.
Yeah the NES was a minor player over hear, but I am international channel and I like to cover something for everyone, that's why you see lots of Japanese and North American focused content even though I'm in the UK.
Only people I new had Nes in the mid 80s were the rich kids at school who’s parents were going through divorce an trying to buy there kids love all the rest had commodore’s Amstrad & Spectrum.
Awesome job for having Bubble Bath Babes uncensored! Lol 😅 So many UA-camrs are afraid to post 8-bit nudity lol. It's going to offend so many people Oh my God. Lol 😂😂 that was good! 🤘🤘 I hate censorship. I mean I can understand it for children you know, But most people that watch UA-cam videos like this are adults.
NES fans have derided a lot of these unlicensed games for decades but some of them are just as good or better than some of the actually licensed games on the console, Nintendo gave approval to a lot of complete crap. Like I have as much nostalgia for the NES as the next 40-ish year old that got one back in the day but really like 75% of the official third-party library is mediocre to outright terrible. Outside of Capcom, Konami, or Sunsoft you were gambling your money.
I find the majority rubbish (Wisdom Tree games, for example), or pretty obvious there wasn't licensing (Bubble Bath Babes, pretty ridiculous), but there are some of these that I found hard to understand why they weren't unlicensed. "Impossible Mission II" by Epyx...!? How come it wasn't licensed? Some titles by Codemasters/Camerica are on a different league in a technical level - the Dizzy title is lovely. The most impressive to me was Zombie Nation, quite a stunning shooter and, quite possibly, one of the best unlicensed games.
Not too many "hidden gems" it appears but nice to see these more obscure titles in a video anyway. Some of which I only really know from AVGN episodes.

Samurai Zombie Nation threw me off as it was a licensed game in North America.

@@blackenedheart9592it’s an awful game
Codemaster's games have such a characteristic sounds. I can tell them from the rest just by music.

Interesting to see the NES has a clone of Sega's Penguin Land titled Duck. I didn't know that
Wow some of these look good! Im kind of surprised 😅

I didn't know about Crystal Mines. Also interesting to see versions of Crush Roller, Pang and Penguin Land.
Maxi 15 is my favorite multicart made during the NES’ lifetime.

I couldn't agree more!

Crystal Mines is a good one too.
You could have been true to the title of this video just by showing clips from Action 52.
I have already done a video on the Action 52: ua-cam.com/video/R9HCYmuTPPs/v-deo.html&ab_channel=TheLaird%27sLair
There are several more unlicensed/bootleg NES games you missed that would fit well in a separate video of this topic.

What about Pestterminator
There is Action 52, but it deserves its own video.
