So to explain at 5:53, this was the 2003 NFC Wild Card game between the Packers and Seahawks. Both teams headed into OT, and the Seahawks won the coin toss. Because the Seahawks won the toss, Seattle wanted the ball so, QB Matt Hasselback said to the ref “We want the ball and we’re gonna score” which was caught in the microphone of the ref. On Seattle’s 2nd drive of that OT with a chance to win it, Hasselback threw a pick 6 to Packers CB Al Harris to win the game and send the Seahawks home, hence where the karma struck.
I was in a basketball game when this happened. I wish I could watch the young youth play that night😞

Bro Troy the 2003 Packers-Seahawks playoff OT game is legendary karma... the QB for the Seahawks at the time, Matt Hasselback won the OT coin toss, and got to choose whether to kick or receive, and he said "we'll take the ball, and we're going to score" into the ref's mic at Lambeau Field. Then they did... by throwing a pick six to HOF cornerback Al Harris. Since TDs are game over in NFL overtime, the Packers won off of Hasselback's pass.
Now I might be biased because I'm a Packers fan, and I still remember watching the end of that game as a kid on a shitty little lobby TV at an ice rink, but anyone who knew that backstory regardless of who you rooted for was immensely satisfied. It was like someone saying they're gonna dunk on Zion and then Zion breaking the rim on them. Beautiful.
