It seems the wiki was wrong about freyja’s Greatsword buffing flaming strike! I tested this myself and my beastman cleaver out damaged the freyja’s gs when using flaming strike. Honestly flaming strike is strong enough on its own anyways lmao

I feel the real answer is people who level health don't summon as much since they don't need the health as much and thus are under-represented in invasions.
I can say from my personal experience, it's a defeatist mindset. When I think 2 hits will get me no matter what, I just spend levels elsewhere. I have since learned how to pace levels, but it took years of getting past that feeling of why bother.
When I first used a hefty pot all I could think was "I cannot wait for Chase to use these in an invasion." I am very happy to hear that they're one of your favorite additions.

The wiki is wrong about Flaming Strike, unfortunately. It would have been the best ash to use on this weapon IMO. However, Flaming Strike is not a redmane skill and the damage is the same based on my testing.
If your having trouble discerning which front flip people are using; Savage lion claw has the weapon coming in at an angle, if your facing them it’ll come from the top left(their right side). For lions claw it’s just an over the head downward chop
8:39 - 8:45 is just that one bit in the duel in Revenge of the Sith where Anakin and Obi-Wan are swinging the blades wildly without even coming close to hitting eachother. Neither of you did any real damage despite doing a buncha fancy attacks in really close quarters.
Would love to see some builds based around the transformation items; rock heart, priestess heart, lamenter's mask. Obviously, cult/communion caster for the dragon hearts but the sheer novelty of lamenter face expanding kills🤤. Of course, when using it you have to shout, "partial expansion jutsu!"🥷

Ansbach bow with I believe stormcaller arrows(?) shoots really fast and does pretty insane damage for how fast the shots come out. I feel like bows are still kind of seen as meme weapons aside from the occasional use of radahns bow aow or sniping someone far away to knock them off a ledge. But now there’s definitely some bows that you could use as a main weapon/make a build around.
Yeh, the no health meta is strange. Ever since I started playing Souls-games when DS1 came out, more health is the first thing I lvl-ed. So stubborn about it I did not even leave the first bonfire in Undead Burg without 20 "Vigor".
I suffered the opposite problem lol figured it was pointless if I'll get 2 shot regardless so I'd spend my levels elsewhere. It took several years to get past that attitude.

You can actually tell if it's savage lion's claw or not by how the character flips. A normal front flip is normal lion's claw. If the character flips tilted a bit to the side it's savage. Once you see the difference, it's easy to tell. Idk if Radahn also has this where you can tell if he's going to do a follow up by how he front flips in the boss fight though it would be neat if he does so you can tell.
At plus 10, St. Trinas torch 🔦 at base stats does 124 physical 💪 and 222 fire 🔥it also deals 104 stamina🥵 damge and builds 72 sleep🤤 when blocking, it has a 25 physical negation 🛡 and 40 fire reduction 📛
That ChasetheDodgeBall at the end xD, Chase should bring Every cracked pot with every ritual and hefty cracked pots in Every one of his builds against Dishonest wizards
I agree, the milady could def do a little more poise damage. Trying to use it in pve against the fire knights in shadow keep was painful, even worse was that I was using rellana’s twin blades which eats so much stamina

I’m running a strength arcane build and this weapon kind of became my main one. Stormcaller + delayed R2 demolishes teams! High AR, high blood loss build up, this weapon is great!
as a solo PvE player - I abhore getting very damaged and swigging a flask doesn't heal me fully. - that's why I don't usually go for much HP. even now on dlc endgame I'm at 40 vigor... and the talisman that enhances flask heal is mandatory for me. However - I love using golden order seal and being a faith/Int build - especially using the old miquellas ring inc. because it's so cost effective - 3 or 4 fp and with good stats and that seal you still deal HIGH damage with it + heals are boosted by the seal as well... add to that - rellanas swords for melee - it's awesome
This sword on a bleed build works really well with savage lions claw. It’ll proc bleed most of the time with two hits and it can roll catch. It’s rare but if you land all three hits of savage lions claw it’ll one shot on a bleed build, I got it to hit for over 2k dmg on my level 200 str/arc build. Sword dance also works really well on that build also for procing bleed and finishing off opponents
That parry was so clean and dirty at the same time. I do kinda miss that typa gameplay like you and fighter did in DS3. ER has so many powerful spells and attacks that riposting is kinda overlooked at.
Chase uploading brightens my day all the time , just like torches! Speaking of which , Did you know that there is a torch in the game called Nanaya's Torch? It can be looted from a balcony in Midra's Manse in the Abyssal Woods.
Unless I'm doing a randomized playthrough, or a specific challenge type playthrough... I pretty much go right to 30 vig first thing. The rest of the stats are easy enough to get the soft-caps for, for whatever mostly single stat weapon you want to use. More than ok with only having an upgraded weapon, than higher offensive stats
