I thought the info in this video was really cool and helpful. Try this squat variation if want an exercise that helps.
Deep squats
ATG basically if you can do it without pain add weight and throw a band around the knees. That gets you the rotation (if you use the band), and activates the medialis glute muscle he's talking about. Bonus: if you raise the heel. puts some plates under your foot if you have the mobility. Since it's squat you'll strengthen it way faster than any goofy method he's offering.
