  • Robert "Bob" C. MacKichan Jr., ’76, is a partner at Holland & Knight in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. MacKichan’s practice involves decades of experience in litigation, government contracts, real estate and public policy issues associated with federal government real estate.
When MacKichan was an undergraduate student at the School of Business at the University of the Pacific on the school’s Stockton campus, a professor recommended that MacKichan pursue a JD degree because of all the opportunities that the degree can provide. After graduating from McGeorge School of Law in 1976, MacKichan started out his legal career as a prosecutor in Oakland and then went into private practice. He also spent a few years working in the White House as the Associate Director of Presidential Personnel. He has spent more than 40 years working in Washington, D.C.
MacKichan advises prospective law students to take classes that are focused on developing their analytical, presentation, and oral skills.
