I got my own version of this song when I play it on guitar. I always check out what songs you cover and you have helped me do a few songs I've taken on because you show us all how you do it. I'm a pretty big fan of you and appreciate everything you do for us all. This is one of my all time favourite Johnny Cash songs. Every song writer should pay attention to not just the chords and lesson! But listen and learn the lyrics as Johnny introduces the character of the song and adds poetry in motion. The story line is brilliant and if you ever write a song, think about this song. It has all the right ingredients and that magical touch of inspiration of emotions of how he felt at the time. Thanks mate for your time and effort. Thankyou very much for covering this classic song by the legendary Johnny Cash. You made my day 🙌
Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you again. Did I say Thank you already? You know I really appreciate the time you take to help us out with these songs. Hope you know we all appreciate your effort.
Great video man. Playing a gig tomorrow actually bahhaha. You saved me on those riffs. Also never thought about the F chord. Also glad to see a lesson with Capo. I don't know if it's the old recordings or he's using a capo. had to figure that out myself.
Great tutorial. Would you please do a tutorial for Elvis's Hound Dog, All Shook Up and Burning Love? I'm on vacation next week and want to learn these. Thanks so much!!!
With the strumming you just have to fake it till you make it all this counting 1 2 3 makes it over complicated I struggled for a long time with strumming because all the UA-cam videos over complicated it

down, down, down up, down up - as Pete says, the first down is picking the bass chord - hope that helps
They proly tuned down a half step. Thanks for the lesson!
Great tutorial. Would you please do a tutorial for Elvis's Hound Dog, All Shook Up and Burning Love? I'm on vacation next week and want to learn these. Thanks so much!!!
The F sharp chord is a major chord in this Johnny Cash song not F sharp minor as shown here. But thanks for all your excellent tutorials.
Nice job. You always make it easy to see what you are playing. Thanks

i'm pretty sure johnny is plain an f#7, not an f#m
He did. The minor sounds off.
I'm struggling with the strumming pattern :(
I think its just down, down, up, down, down up... like in Folsom Prison Blues
With the strumming you just have to fake it till you make it all this counting 1 2 3 makes it over complicated I struggled for a long time with strumming because all the UA-cam videos over complicated it
@@toddmcgraw6082 fake it till you make it......love it (sheepish grin!!) as its my go to on rough daze 😉 !!
whats a chewtorial?
sumthin you do on chewsday
haha.
Nice, explained clearly and simply, sounded good. Why don't you play the whole song? You must enjoy it?
I did not quite get the strumming pattern
If Cash played it without the capo Im sure he was tuned up a bit.
It was Luther Perkins who played the guitar, Johnny just played for show so the guitar you're hearing in johnny cash songs was Luther's
There is NOT an F#m in this song. It's F major 7th..
no its not its a F#
Leave please..
please do it right johnny played NO Capo
That's not true friend. Johnny used a capo quite often.
Capo capo capo......A capo is for those too lazy to learn the right chords
nor f sharp minor...its f sharp .....bad tutorial
it is a f#.no f.minor
Thank you!
