This is the my second set of microlocs. The first set was gorgeous, but I was limited with styles due to a lack of grid. Now, I'm BACK BaBYYY! I'm about a week in and love it! The gray hair is just plain disrespectful!

Baby, I put a rinse on these things. From day one, right before each retie, I wash and black rinse myself. Cause, ain't nobody got time for that! Lol My hair is fine and super thin in the crown, so I'm documenting my journey and will be sharing here on UA-cam as well 🤝🏽
My greys were very puffy. I was told to use Lion Locs Starter Twist and Lock Spray for New Dreadlocks | Vegan Sea Salt Mist with Essential Oils & Aloe. What a difference. I spray each section before braiding and banding at night. Be sure to check with your Loctician before using any products. 6 months in and I wish I had started using it sooner.
Omg! Yes, the gray hairs baby! I'm officially 1 week in too and I'm loving it! ❤️ I have the hand in hair syndrome...just can't stop touching it! Lol 😆 best decision ever !
The greys are disrespectful but I love them! I was loc'ed for 5 years and just cut them off in November because they were breaking off due to illness. I'm growing my hair out this year and will be installing microlocs later this year. I honestly wish I'd installed microlocs in the first place but I couldn't find anyone to do it and there weren't as many online resources. I miss having hair that I don't have to style, though, so the locs are coming back as soon as my hair is healthy again!
You can do a semi permanent hair color on your hair bc it doesn’t change your texture. You cannot do a permanent hair color. I am 5 months in, and I’ve been coloring my hair from the beginning. I will send you what I use if you have IG.
