Me a 26 year old white women watching the whole video-lol I found a short on microlocs and had never heard of them! Thanks for educating me. I have a 2 friends with them and never knew what the style was called.
Same here. I had a bad breakage from not giving my hair any type of moisture. My 1st consultant said it was okay to swim as long as I braid and band my new one said hell no.
Omgg I just got my micro lock install Thursday and your right! I can’t stop touching and rubbing my fingers through it cause it feels like first time feeling my scalp. I love it help me save it!!
I'm 2 years in myself! You are soooo right...Just leave your locs alone! I don't any styles, no twist, no pin up's, just mist, oil my scalp and thats it!❤
This is the reason why I want locs now. To leave my hair alone. I have done my own hair since I was a teenager and I have two kids now and no time to do styles that require daily styling. I need a style that needs no daily work 😂😂 I was going to go straight natural but the weather is so unreliable.
Thank you for the reminders. Not putting anything in my hair either. My scalp was really itchy so I used aloe Vera oil ONLY on the scalp and it relieved me.
Your video was one of the ones I saw before getting my microlocs. I will be 6 months loc'd next week.🎉 I love it, and honestly, I wish I did it sooner.
This has been so informative. Thank you!!! I have installed my micro locs with extensions on my 3c hair (basically micro braids) I will avoid washing for at least 6weeks. I just don’t know whether to interlock or twist the roots to retie.
I am almost one year sisterlock and loving it , I cannot take my hands out of my hair and they are doing great !! I think it depend on who does your hair I did not take one painkiller she was very gentle !!.
My micro locks grow fast when I leave them alone , I had got them installed because I wanted it to be easier to do and manage. I love it I’m about. 1 year and a few months in
I had my mircolocs installed. As of today, they're 7 weeks old. I'm really enjoying the freedom and they're so cute! I have to stop running my finger through and twirling them lol.
Your videos inspired me to start this journey, l was on holiday in SA 3 weeks ago and boom, l decided to go for it,,,,, yes it’s 3 weeks now. Thank you to you @ifeyinwa❤❤❤ Love love your locs 👌👌
For the daily rose water/jojoba oil spray, do you spray just the scalp or both scalp and hair? I am only 1 week in and have a history of extremely dry scalp and skin.
Thanks for this video! I don’t find braiding and banding a pain. I have to wash my hair often because of my activities. I also do my own retightening at 6 weeks.
Great video. It's just interesting that you suggest pain pills. My installation process was actually one of the most relaxing/painless salon experiences I've ever had. LOL. I guess everyone's experiences are different.
I’m in my 5th month and washing more often. I like in Abuja and the heat has been crazy. With power outages there’s a lot of sweating on my scalp especially when the inverter goes off and air conditioners shut down. I wonder if your wash routine may have been different if you lived in a hot place. Like if you spent more time in Lagos do you think it would have been the same wash routine for you?
How long did you go before your first wash? I workout and also teach/work around kids (aka "germs") and really can't imagine not washing my hair for 10 weeks!! I need to know the exact process for washing because, yeah - that's nit gonna happen. . .
I’m on the fence about getting micro locs. I’ve had sister locs before, but I had a bad experience with them. I honestly missed them, but I think if I started with a different method, it would be better for me
My installation was excruciatingly painful. Probably because there were four locticians on my hair at a time and each was tugging in a different direction
Kudos! Your videos are quite enlightening. pls did u apply methylated spirit for scalp cleaning at the early phase of your journey? I started my microlocs and about 5weeks gone and due for a retie but my lotician said i should not wash my hair yet and should cleanse my scalp with methylated spirit but i cant bring myself to doing this cus of the drying effect of alcohol. Kindly advise!
I use seabreeze in the beginning through my itching period. Now I just use water if my water feel dry. Its been 2 years sinced I have been sisterlocked and I do not put anything on my scalp(oil, etc)
The same thing happened to me my first week. Buy some Nizoral Shampoo. Then braid and band you hair. Wash and rinse very gently gently. Keep it banded and let it completely air dry. After that, put light oil on the scalp only. This helped me tremendously!
I just got my microlocs installed yesterday. I was told not to use rose water or anything at time this. Do you agree or is it ok to use rose water now?
This is one opinion but please if you’re considering locs do your research and talk around to experienced locticians. I had locs 3years and you’re not supposed to deprive it of water/moisture , the water actually encourages the locing process because it encourages shrinkage/tangles
I'm just 4 days on the microlock journey, looking forward to enjoying it.

Very helpful!
I was hoping you’d talk about why n how you combined your locs
I will talk about this in my next microlocs update but my loctician did the combining.
Your hair inspired me I am 3 weeks old 😊
Thank you 😊😊

Thank you so much for this sissy! Can’t wait to start my journey next month!!!
Same!
You mentioned not washing your hair for ten weeks. What did you do to soothe the itching or the feel of a dirty scalp?
Thanks for posting! Have a great day!
Thanks for watching 🫶🏾

Oh no I’m sorry!!

No I didn’t. I’ve detailed everything I’ve done at every stage of my journey on my channel 😊

I’m 6 days in but my scalp is on fire! I want to wash it so bad. What tips do you have for someone with scalp psoriasis?

Know any locticians in middle tn?
Nice review 🎉
Thank you!
You inspired me ❤
Awwww thank you so much 🥰
During the first 6 weeks how should I hydrate my hair
11:20
Hey girl hey!
Hiya! 🫶🏾
Ok so I'm still doing my research. I hear micro locs and survivors sisterlocs what's the difference? Are they the same?
I have a video on this topic ☺️
Day 2 of my journey, I wish I took pain medication 😢
Oh no that bad? I’m sorry hun it’s not too late to take some painkillers!
I just made 6 months! Only regret is that I did not do it sooner 🤎🤎🤎
