Definitely the “Hit” on the album. Doesn’t feel exactly like Sneaker Pimps to me (as a big Splinter and Bloodsport fan, but it has some really cool qualities. It’s almost like a song Little Dragon would make. Smooth and vibey. And so are the visuals.

For comercial relevance i think Sneaker Pimps is going in the right direction. However the concept of IAMX spawned and the sneakers took a break. I can understand the jump since they are in a new world in 2021.

Soooo. I searched Sneaker Pimps while nostalgia binging old goodies, without knowing they have new material out, what a treat ❤
Same, but I'm young, I discovered them in 2018, coming back to realize they're back. I think 90's electro is experiencing a rebirth, I'm specially in love now with trip hop, jungle and acid. These genres were kinda ahead of their time, they sound so good nowadays. Not only electro, I'm also more into other 90's artists like the cranberries, sting or oasis, when I compare 60-90's music to today's, we're kinda in a mini dark age. Music, games, books, all form of contemporary art has fallen short of creativity, nothing mainstream feels genuine anymore, that's why I love seeing 90's artists coming back.
Ditto, I was checking if Chris had done something new, but I kept searching for IAMX instead of Sneaker Pimps. I thought they were done for. Lucky for us they weren't.

Reflecting on one's life is a natural, joyful experience. I frequently reflect on the musical marvels that were part of that joy.
Sneaker Pimps were and still are a "great memory," their debut album was stellar.
In historical parlance, it got "rave reviews", it went viral metaphorically speaking.
It was and is the "big bang" of the bands history.
The second loudest "bang" from a music critic's or temporal fan from that time was fracturing of the band, post debut album.
Splinter'ering into Sneaker Pimps 2.0. Descriptions or historical perspectives are distortions.
For Liam Howe and Chris Corner to treat Kelli Ali as a lead singer later added, as a trivial sidenote to the entity called Sneaker Pimps is fascinating.
Kelli's face is used on this site as a branding tool. Because she was a part of the "big bang" of this bands manifesto.
Howe and Corner wrote the description for the memory, memorial Snicker Pimps were and have become.
It is an unpleasant feeling twist of truths to the loudness (metaphor), Kelli's departure had on the band at that time.
They were their biggest best when she was part of the energy engine music represents.
They were never quite as "big bangy" again.

really really nice visuals...genuinely interesting to watch and study! and this song...i think it's one of my favourite songs i've heard in years...the melody and the vocals get stuck in my head...i wake up anxious, sweating in bed...can't sleep...but the first thing that will come into my head is this song and the lyrics...lifes pushing me to my limits at the moment and this song has been like a comfort blanket for me so thanks for that... x

I know this is an old comment but your son is a legend among Sneaker Pimps fans. His collecting of sneaker pimps content has been so helpful to younger fans like me to appreciate and get to experience sneaker pimps music and not allow stuff to be lost over the years. So so appreciative of your son and always recognize his name.
After all ţhese yrs woulda been nice to bring Kelli back n make truly great musik again(not withstanding the excellent Splinter n Blood sport)... eh well.. still remember p a partying w u guys at your hotel/after gig after your tiny nyc show in '02 w my gf at the time.. Finally got around to listening to this album today and wow. What a treat. I'm a big fan of Splinter and while Squaring the Circle is very different, it still manages to grab me the same way Splinter does.
As a bonus, the synth melody at 1:12 and throughout reminds me of a similar piano melody in Clairo's "I Wouldn't Ask You", which I also adore. I'm sure the similarity was unintentional but I enjoy it regardless.
Chris’ voice is angelic. And this song is gorgeous.
To continue and go further from the absolute top that has been for me Becoming X, which I love for years and years. You need lot of energy, courage and muse. Good Luck!

While "Squaring the Circle" isn't my favorite Sneaker Pimps album.... It is VERY close. "Alibis" and "Lifeline" are up there with "Kiro TV", "6 Underground", "Wasted Early Sunday Morning", and even my personal favorite; "Low Five".
After a decade or two, the reunion turned out to be more than well worth the wait.

Man replacing Kelli was a huge mistake. With modern technology you all could still do remote recordings or reunion stuff. This song is good but isn't quite worthy of the sneaker pimps brand. Just call it something else.

@matth285 I don't consider it a grudge, you can if you like but I was simply saying Kelly's voice is what completed the band and they can use different techniques to reconcile...it's not that complicated unless some just have egos too big to make amends. If anything I was telling them to be resourceful for a much needed reunion or collab.
