This is GOLD! absolutely brilliant! The Tambourin-mvt is just gorgeous, excellent pulse by the viola da gamba, I love also the birdcall in Allegro - and so many thx for posting the original score thus I can adapt my edition. One question: Do you think it's "inappropiate" to play grace notes after the (many) short trills in the first movement? I see that the grace-notes are explicitly written if he wants them (?) Dear Chris, since he asks the beginning in TWO beats, putting active extras might turn the pulse in FOUR, this is why I refrained... But if done very gently and discreet, why not?
