Nice video !!! I had a Recording King 12 Fret for a few years and traded it in on another guitar. Wish I had kept it. The bridge was pulling a little but to reset it would not have been any issue. If I did not do it myself another mason I worked with could have easily done it. He is an amazing player and guitar tech.
I re-glued the bridge on my 65 Epiphone Texan, which I uploaded a video to that on my other channel, and it's not hard to do. Just requires a few good clamps and to clean both surfaces before gluing and clamping. Thank you very much for watching too. I just put new strings on the Recording King today and it is still a cannon...
I have the same guitar and also the Recording King RD T 16 torrefied dreadnought, it is very nice also! I love recording king guitars! I also have a Martin D18 next I'm getting a Gibson j45, thanks for video!
My favorite guitar is Martin. The D18 has a more mellow tone over the D-28 but I like them both. My Recording King though really sounds like a D28 so that makes me very happy. I also love the sound of Noah's Gibson J-45 studio in rosewood. The l that guitar also sounds great playing it along with the Recording King. I have high regards for the Recording King line of guitars and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting an all solid wood guitar. Thanks again for watching and for subscribing. I really do appreciate it.
@@danielpenaofficial4186 I think it's does. I watched a video where a musician actually played there same song on both the Martin D-28 and the RD-328 from Recording King, without letting you see which guitar was being played, and had people comment to see if they could tell which was which and the results were were 50/50.. Some who replied were professionals too and they had a hard time telling the difference. Watch that video too. ua-cam.com/video/mJV_z7HTkKU/v-deo.html
@@HayesTech I would say this guitar is better then a MD60BG also what do you think about this seller on eBay? They say in all their guitars that the saddle is too low and they want 400 for the guitar is that just how it’s made or is it really that bad of a guitar?
I just received a rd 328 and it buzzes whenever I try to add any power. The inside of the body had what looks like spilled white paint lol! It does sound pretty good though but I really hope the sound gets fatter and more bass heavy. I saw on their youtube that the V neck was added for the purpose of adding stamina to your left hand... Maybe Im playing it wrong but I didnt notice any stamina differences
I would make sure the trust rod isn't too tight to help with the buzz. I also recommend medium strings to heavy strings. I put lights on it, 11 to 52, and mine had a slight buzz when played heavy. But after adjusting the truss rod, that cleared right up (about an 1/8 of a turn was all that was needed). I also went to the medium strings 12 to 53 and it really boomed. Also, the more you play it the better it will get. I just did a 6 month updated video on my main channel ( Hayes tech ) and I couldn't be happier with it unless it was a Martin... Lol... No, just kidding. I'm very happy with it. And I could never be able to afford to get a Martin D28, which was the reason I started my search for something cheaper. And I never looked back after getting this.
This is the one that I ordered. It was ok but I eventually removed it. The only reason I removed it was for originality. Rosewood Guitar Protective Pickguard With Acoustic Ebony Arm Rest Parts a.co/d/0miJTZo
i put my strings on like taylor where you measure them and clip them at the next post before i wind them , if i put on strings like this it would take an hour............ but nice video though :)
I used to put them on that way too but since I can't take a chance of getting stuck by the end of the string, because of my bleeding issues, I do string changes so there is no string ends poking out. But your way is a good way too.
Mine didn't really need anything either. I was basically going through the motions, like I do with all my guitars I purchase. For the money they are asking for these guitars, you can't go wrong getting one. It's funny, I was just discussing this yesterday with my wife and I still can't believe how good this guitar sounds and looks
@@billsmith3042 I couldn't agree more with you. Even if I purchased a new Martin I would go over it too make sure it was set up just right for me (but at the price they want there better but be that much to set up...lol).
@@anthonykehoe1773 Every time I pick it up and play it, I can't believe how good it sounds and plays. Make no mistake, I love playing my grandsons Gibson J45, in Rosewood, but it just doesn't have that sound that I am looking for that can only come from a Martin style guitar I still can't believe how different 2 guitars can sound, made from the same materials. The shape makes a big difference. Noah's Gibson sounds mellow and deep, and my guitar has that punchy sound you only get with a Martin style dreadnought. You want to hear another great guitar, you should listen to, and even play (if you get the chance), one of the new "Inspired By Gibson" Epiphone J-200's. "Wow" is all I can say for that guitar. I was never a big fan of the sound of the maple SJ-200's put out by Gibson, but the one from Epiphone (the new, all solid wood ones) has converted me and I want one now...lol Anyways, thank you so much for watching and for commenting. What kind of wax are you using ?
It's Mother's. It has no silicone, and that's the key. Any good quality wax will work though. Just be sure that it has no silicone in it.
Which armrest did you purchase?
