@@agbaenyi1221 yes . So in our Nigerian 🇳🇬 pidgin English , I can say , who be that pikin? Meaning whose baby or child is that? So since Portuguese 🇵🇹 came to Nigeria first , we may have borrowed the word from them they also gave us the word Lagos which is a name of a state in nigeria and Lagos means lake in Portuguese 🇵🇹 I think. 🤔

From what I can tell from around the 2:00 to 3:00 mark, the “wetin yu dey”(what are you) “yan”(talking about) would be equivalent to the Jamaican “weh yu ah”(what are you) or at a more conversational speed, simply “yaa” and then chat bout or chat bo’.(The “weh” is dropped altogether)
So, “wetin yu dey yan” = “weh yu a chat bout” or “yaa chat bout” or “yaa chat bo”.
The “about”/ “bout”/ “bo” could also be replaced with “seh”. “Weh yu a chat seh” or “yaa chat seh”.
And in Jamaican Creole, the “weh yu a”(what are you) cannot be used by itself to ask someone “what are you”. It only works when asking someone about something they’re doing. “What are you” by itself would be expressed differently.
