- ⭐️ My Nigerian friend and I decided to teach each other some words or phrases in our country's dialects. It was fun to learn some pidgin words and to share some patois.
Nigerian Pidgin is an English-based contact language that developed as a result of European contact with West African languages.
Jamaican Creole is the result of mixture of various African languages, English, and other European tongues.
I hope you guys will enjoy this video.
⭐️ Other languages mentioned - Yoruba
Yoruba is a language spoken in West Africa, most prominently Southwestern Nigeria.

Are we just going to ignore how similar both languages are? If there was ever a doubt where our 🇯🇲 ancestors are from.
My sentiments exactly
Pidgin is a language. patois is not. it is a creole dialect
@@Crucio_Occidere Well technically “A pidgin, or pidgin language, is a grammatically simplified means of communication that develops between two or more groups of people that do not have a language in common: typically, its vocabulary and grammar are limited and often drawn from several languages….”
Patois was born from such a situation..…It was created by slaves who were taken from different parts of West Africa..with different languages/tongues. They had to create a common “language”…. From several languages.
@@Crucio_Occidere pidgin is also a creole
"I no dey look uche face" uche in igbo means toughts or mind, so i think the is more like "im not paying any mind"
We are all family man! We can feel the connection and see the similarities in language and culture.
No wahalla. ❤️❤️

😂😂😂 I still won. It was such a good vibe ❤️
@@francellabellaofficial you’re really pretty btw 🤓
@@prncedeejay "I no go look Uche face" is metphorical and he was right.
She did good though for giving the literal meaning. So she gets a half mark.
@@ceejay8459uche actually means mind or thought, so it's like I'm not gonna face my thoughts , I'm not gonna mind. Still it's the same meaning whichever way you face at it.
Bros you are speaking slangs. Instead of shayo it should be make we go drink.
Thanks for watching . We had so much fun
