My family can relate to this commercial. My grandmother, who suffers from MS, Arthritis, Dementia, and Alzheimer's began to forget my grandfather had died and for one whole week she waited outside the porch of their house waiting for him to decorate during that December. It was so heart wrenching to see her daughter, my mother, tell her that my grandfather wasn't coming home. Eventually, my grandmother broke down. One night, when no one was awake, her neighbors took off all their Christmas decorations and instead put them all over her house. Even as I'm typing this, I'm tearing up. It was such a moving action that my mother invited them all to our annual Christmas party. That's 30+ people added to the already 60+ at the time.
This commercial remains one of my favorites because it reminds me of the good that people are capable of, despite all the negativity in our world.

This is one of the best commercials i have seen. She brighten up the old man's night and the old man brightened up her night by his reaction. So heart warming let there be peace on earth.
Back in 2015, I lost my aunt. A woman who was almost as close to me as my mother. Her holiday every year was Christmas. She would go all out and spend, I'm pretty sure, at least a couple thousand on gifts and decorations. That year I couldn't even have the thought of celebrating Christmas without her even though it's my favorite holiday too. But then as I lay in my room, this little commercial played, and as I cried I knew I had to keep going on. Because I wasn't the only one who lost her and the others needed to know, as I did, Christmas didn't end with her.

We as human beings not to mention being children of God should all desire to be like the lady depicted in this commercial. Kindness towards our fellow man/woman is free, it doesn’t cost us a single penny but the smallest act of kindness can mean the world to someone who might feel hopeless. If we start showing kindness and compassion to one another it would spread like a wildfire going through dry broom grass and this country would be so much better than what it has been. Different political views shouldn’t cause us to show the hatred for one another that we’ve been showing, we all have to rise above it or we’re going to implode as a nation.
