The brake cable over the top of the board could be called the emergency brake. 😂🤣

I have one just like this one, 50cc 2 stroke. I've uptaded the suspension with a more stable springs and the acelerator cable with some extra springs that helps closing the carburator with more precision. Also use a better oil in the fuel that doesn't smoke. The brake system is by just one drum. Overall, it has a lightweight desing

Your traction = my car spinning the tires ! LOL. It barely moves and doesnt need much throttle.
Thank you mucho for posting this video. it helped me realized what my car is acting like. i severely need to gear up.

You can stiffen the board by adding a couple of wood or plastic strips running along the bottom of it just like on old school skateboards.

I wonder if you’d be able to move the brake arms to more of a horizontal position, facing rearward and under the deck? That would keep them out of the way, and allow them to stay the same length.

  • @andrewwilson8317

What about putting brakes horizontal with joining cable under deck? Out of the way and protected?

  • @SuperHification

Angle the brake rods either forwards or backwards and put the cable in front if the front wheels, or behind them with the cable under the board

  • @Mad-Duk_Machine_Werkes
    @Mad-Duk_Machine_Werkes 6 років тому +1

Small suggestion: the front brake pads look as though they will eat themselves down quickly, passing over the slots in the disks! you can prevent this, AND get more braking power by making the arms slightly longer so that the brake pads are on the outermost edge of the disk in that narrow strip that would cause them to contact METAL all the way around and not skip across the holes/slots!! Also, you may want to tether the "Handle-Bars" with a small piece of metal cable to a tab on the board so if you pull or fall off the board you arent yanking on the control cables, as the simplest tug will for sure rip the throttle all to crap and mess everything up (brakes too)

Honestly... I can't believe GPS didn't snag you up sooner - LOl. I have been following your stuff on OMB forum and UA-cam for years now. Amazing work! don't ever let it feel like a job. Your vision and talents are unique. I wished you lived closer - I could learn a few things. I made a leaner style sidecar for my special-needs child. I ended up scraping it after a year because it didn't have a roll cage - Just in case failure. I was going to do a 2 seater sidecar next - but welder broke - LOl - It would be cool for you to build one.

Just run a small tube that it runs into across the board. That's how I did the tail lights on my harley. Tacked a metal tube inside my rear finder and ran the wires through it

john adams that would probably work so that the cable isn't under the board at all. If it runs under the board that runs the potential of getting caught on something while you're riding

Congrats for the almost 100.000 sub. I really like your buildings and I really enjoy watching your videos in my free time.
I just wanted to point out few things...
    1. You had better to put an expansion chamber on the exhaust pipe (just a tiny one, two opposite conical shaped sheets of metal welded together)
    2. To start it, put it on the opposite of "open" so the hole that allows air in the carb will be clogged a bit, this way there will be more fuel in the engine and it starts. Once it's running, turn che lever on the carb on "open" and you're ready to roll!!!

Son I love your builds. I saw you on in Texas with another you tuber. I think your a better builder then them. I would rather be welding too except I'm too old and in wheelchair now. Can't get around so I need a buggy like you built there four wheels so I can ride around my farm. I can't weld anymore. I would have to buy one I guess. Your awesome dude. Thank you.

Rotate your brakes from the vertical position you have, to the horizontal position, on top of your axle. Your cross cable will be under the board but behind your front truck. Build a cable guard to protect the cable. Other than that, looks great!

  • @Gu1tarZer0

Maybe look at welding some tabs on the front truck roughly parallel to the ground, then pivot the brake arms on them, with the cable under the middle section of the board? You could maybe add a stress relief mount on the edge of the board for the cable to keep it out of the wheels haha.
Also idk if you mentioned it, but personally I'd get some Vicious griptape, it's expensive, but it's generally for high speed downhill longboarding.

  • @devin4560

Kyle King To extract maximum power from a two stroke a tuned exhaust is necessary. In his case he is already spinning the wheel. More power may not be a beneficial. Or maybe it will. I guess we will see.

Obviously, test drive it first, but you might want to go with both rear wheels driving. The simplest way would be to do a live axle all the way through the hub between both wheels instead of a fixed axle and bearings in the wheels. Great job though! Can't wait to see the 'first ride' video. Oh... and wear some protective gear...
