what a blessing I received toni8ght, finally finding someone that I connect to when you teach . im at the age where AARP has been looking for me for a while.lol. bought a brothers sewing machine years ago ,it was a daydreaming passion to be able to put the pedal to the metal whipping out projects like I do clients as a hair dresser for all these years ....NOPE...Wasnt happening I've been scared to death just looking at this machine ,then finding out I need a computer also O#G HOW IS THIS GOING TO HAPPEN.i bought a Mac computer, geek squad, apple care , bartering computer lessons for hair cuts ..hasnt been the picture in my mind . I've been tubing sewing channels forever now which were only making it worse .....I stayed up all night watching you and I get you,,,,THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

Thank you so much for your videos. Making napkins for my sweet DIL to go with a table runner for Christmas. This little tool is gold! I am not good at eyeballing and ironing a hem. Thank you so much too for your video Paper Piecing Made Easy. It rocked my "quilting skills" world.

How does someone so young get to be so smart and be such a great teacher?
Of all the video's I have watched she is by far the best teacher . I love she gets down to business and everything I have tried she has a video on comes out beautiful.
    I just started sewing.
    She's adorable too.

I am new to sewing and I am making napkins and a tablecloth for my granddaughter. I only had to watch your video to learn how to do the corners. You explained things very well and the pace was just right. Also no horrible music (noise) which can be bothersome. Thank you!!! Now back to my little sewing project.

I have watched you forever since you first started your channel. I gotta say, you got a lot of fancy fathers since then , like your long arm and you got into a lot of quilting stuff. But I personally like your regular sewing and the baskets you make from clothes lines. Your tricks are clear and I have learned a lot but I like the fast and easy stuff you do best. Your a great teacher. But, a lot of us can’t afford the fancy stuff. Please keep that in mind. Love your work.

This is probably the best explanation and demonstration for making mitered corners. Especially for crafts. I need a nicely made fabric rectangle (17" x 4") with a nice edge to sew onto a football jersey. The letters will go on this rectangle. I am going to use this technique to make the rectangle. Excellent. Glad I stumbled onto this video.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE YOU!!! You have made this so easy, quick, and professional looking. I’ve tried other “training” videos but found them too complex with all the measuring at 45 degree angles and such. I didn’t like the finished product so I ended up putting the un-hemmed napkins away. Now I am motivated to get to hemming. Thank you so much.

Just want to mention that there is a product called the Hot Hemmer by Clover that I love and use all the time in my sewing business, if one does not want to make their own. It can really take the heat and holds the fabric in place pretty well. I fused 2 together for use on longer fabrics. Can fold them together when I don’t need them long. I am not affiliated with Clover, just a comment about one of my favorite tools. You can get them @amazon, etc.

Hi Vanessa, Love your ideas and videos! Another fun idea to give the napkins to a more formal look is to make the seam allowance 2" wide (still using the double fold but starting with a large piece of fabric and then use a coordinating 2nd fabric panel (about 1/4" smaller on all sides) , tuck it into the seam allowances with the two back sides of the fabric facing each other and sew as usual. You end up with a heavier napkin but its reversible. Keep up the great work, you're very inspiring and fun to watch!
