- Today, we're exploring the sketchy abandoned Orlando Sun Resort and Convention Center. I had no idea what this place was when I first found it, but it had a bad feel to it. I must say this has been one of the best finds so far, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! #sketch #explore #adventure #abandoned #resort
Some of that kitchen/freezer/cooler equipment would be worth thousands if it weren't smashed. I don't understand what drives people to destroy stuff. Great video.

Someone has set one of the buildings on fire and there is an arson cash reward sign now up and the place is heavily active with security and police. They shit all power down to the building I do not recommend coming back. It just isn’t safe as it was a few years ago.
Do u know if theres a link to a news article or something? I wanna see how bad the fire was cuz I drove by and saw caution tape and I was curious what happened

That’s a really great place to make a game like Resident Evil or a game like that
I stayed there in 2010, 2011 and 2012 as a subcontractor when it had became the Orlando Sun Resort. I know alot about the property and what happened to bring it's demise
I heard it was because Disney opened their own resorts... is that what got the ball rolling?
i went here yesterday, unfortunately the roof collapsed in the main lobby. might post the video i took of what it looks like now

What was the reasoning for closing down this resort? Possible bankruptcy? Im in Florida and I remember hearing about this place years ago but never visited there. Thanks for your videos stay safe out there.
Appreciate you Fam... I heard that when Disney opened their own resorts... it was the beginning of the end for the Orlando Sun Resort..
@@EXPLORINGWITHBEAR I just found your channel, late to the game but I enjoy those abandoned videos brings me back to when I was a kid in the 70s and 80s. Here in Florida there's many places sadly left behind. Thanks again and stay safe out there.
This property meet its slow demise after Disney built a few “budget friendly hotels” in the 90’s with their free transportation to and from Disney parks.. Cool video though man🤟🤟
You're right...that was the downfall... before Disney had resorts... people stayed at the Sun Resort..👍

It use to have power but was shutoff I guess the city turned it off after the fire but dude me and my group each had are own rooms we could chill plug in are tv watch movies we even had s’mores it was awsome and the A/c worked the lights all worked it was amazing

Ya....honestly I can't tell you where it is exactly...but it is still abandoned...it's been about 3 weeks since I was there.... That was one of the main resorts for people going to Disney back in the day. When Disney started their own resorts it was pretty much the beginning of the end for the Orlando Sun Resort.. right now I'm filming where Pretty Boy Floyd was gunned down..😆👍

Sry... there's another building close to the resort.. there's a shorter video of it.. unfortunately, those were the only abandoned explores... I hope to go back to Florida to film again someday... I'm sure it shouldn't take you too long to find something cool... Good luck and stay safe 😁👍
@@samsiwarski8389 there is one abandoned school in Maitland , it got burnt down a year ago, called summit charter school

There was no security when I was there....I just went right in.... just be careful. I'm sure they still make their rounds... but no one posted..😄👍
Went yesterday. Theres a gate if you're trying to get in by car, but you can literally walk right around it. For safety, just park in the plaza across from the gate. Very sketchy inside. Broken glass EVERYWHERE, black mold in the rooms, and it's near impossible to walk through the hallways. Wouldn't recommend walking through the hallways anyway. Homeless couple pulled around a corner and scared the shit out of us cause we didn't realize they were homeless for a second. Car was parked right under the awning of the convention center, probably another homeless man. Walked towards the back site of the property, and heard rustling inside of one of the rooms so we played it safe and turned around to leave. While leaving, homeless man on a bike with two kids tried to sell us drugs. Just be wary of homeless people and not much as security.
