This hotel is cleaner than some other hotels that haven't been abandoned.
@Vee Cee it's a joke, calm down.
@Vee Cee Somebody needs a cookie.
Paul Lyon Especially in Seattle.
Considering how Brennen is the co-host of "Another Dirty Room", I think he's aware of that.
looks cozy if you ignore all the asbestos and mold
Hahaha very true!
@@UnchartedTravel WOW nice catch and very interesting. But as you say, it's a wonder no fire has broken out yet.
*Please inform the responsible town hall about this situation (still powered). This can also be done anonymously.*
Mmmmmmm asbestos
Bring back asbestos.
Depends on when it was abandoned
Omg the beeping in the background is driving me crazy
It’s sad all of that vintage furniture was left to rot.
Ikr
People have rotten Hearts.
Hunter Woodlawn yeah I want my bedroom to look like that, hard to find the furniture though
That shit was cheap asf and uncomfortable I'm sure . That's like saying a dollar store lawn chair in my backyard will be vintage and cool in 30 years
Hunter Woodlawn as a collector of all vintage, I agree it’s such a shame
You guys should wear filtered mask when you go into these abandoned places mold etc is dangerous
Shoe covers and/or throw your shoes out, the STDs that are breeding in the carpeting are disgusting, lots of fluids unseen by the naked eye
I wouldn't worry about a bit of dirt, i would be more concerned about turning on electrical equipment in a place like that
Forget the mold, the asbestos is much of a higher risk to their health.
SmashGarage true
entyce66 no they should not!
The hotel still has electricity? If someone decides to live in there, they won't have to worry about electric bill lol.
Right??? Shame all the homeless people who don't know about it. At least it's a place with walls, heat, electric & beds. Better than the streets.
@@nikkib5753 don't forget about the free beers
@@nikkib5753 that whole place will go up in flames if you invite all the homeless people.
Shame the tourists don’t know about it, a good place to stay, cheap
Dawid Jandzinski go ahead, stay a month if you want
"narcotic enthusiasts" ha- Good one Brennan
kb94596 haha glad you enjoyed that!
Uncharted Travel yeah that one got me too lol
Pretty cool. Cant believe the electric is still on in this joint! Why?
That is the question
Most likely been pulled up on the main switch.
Could be to deter scrappers, I think that was Dan Bell's theory about electricity in one of his old videos
Because Canada?
idk how it is there but in the US they just leave power on when someone calls and says they are moving or the house or business is closing because its easier than turning it off only to have to turn it back on again and they don't expect it to use more than a couple of dollars worth of electricity per month. that was explained by a power company employee. although with that place's heat still being on, even just a little, they should have noticed and investigated by now and turned it off. 40 years i can't believe they'd have left it alone that long really.
they just forgot about it probably.
I’m surprised how many other people my age don’t know that TVs used to have to warm up before the tubes emitted an image.
I'm 43 and I remember B&W TV's, non-remote controlled TV's where you changed the channel by turning a knob, and tube-type TV's that took a minute to warm up before you got picture and sound.
I was looking for this comment.
@@radiotvphononut I'm 34 and I had a black and white tv at one point growing up but I was poor too. Wasn't the family room tv, I'm taking about one of my first personal room TV's.
SmashGarage these TV sets are from the 70s, 80s and 90s. They already had transistors back then. Forget about the light tubes. They had already been long gone by then.
@@jeantetreault132 He meant the picture tube. Even when TVs went to transistors, the picture tube still took time to warm up. Some TVs kept power to the tube even when the TV was "off", to shorten the start up time, a serious waste of electricity.
There's no way it's been abandoned for 40 years.. at least not the kitchen, the labels of stuff is from the late 90s early 2000s
Also the Coke cans in the bar are in that time period as well.
Possible it was technically shut down/abandoned but maybe parts were still operated intermittently?
Thought the same right when i saw that TV with the black housing in the beginning. That was way too modern for early 1980's era.
Probably mid 90s
Definiteiy mid '90s. Ice beer was a mid 90's thing. i collect beer stuff so I know the labels.
Those coke cans are from the year 2000 if I can trust Google.
Brennen noooo! Why did you drink the vinegar beer! Next you're gonna be eating the hotel soap🤦♀️
I used to work there 50 years ago, its making me sad to see it decompose
What is a massive shame, especially about this place is that it could house homeless and vulnerable people. Such a waste.
Wow someone could fix a room or two up and live there with free electricity and heat and tv or radio lol Thinking of the homeless that would like to live there instead of outside at minus 40
my man, straight to the video without any corny intros, I LOVE IT, thank you for the awesome videos, stay safe brah, love your content
amazing, if you were a homeless person, this place would be the most perfect place to lay the head, warmth, a bed, a tv, lights, all free haha
Vee Cee
So you think homeless people would rather sleep under a bridge in a cold night or on a street in a cold night?
ahh yes, the free black mold spores in your lungs and the complimentary tetanus from snagging your elbow on a rake of exposed nails in every doorway.
or perhaps the collapsing ceiling tiles threatening to suffocate you in your sleep are free of charge as well? or asbestos or polytoxins or slime build up or mice infestations?
The design of the Coke cans at 14:27 is from the late 90s or early 2000s. Someone was living there 20 years ago?
I saw TVs from the 90s
I'm sure 20 years ago the place was in A LOT better shape!
Someone homeless guy may have moved in for awhile.
Always enjoy watching DDogg messing with the old electronics. Fascinating that that old hotel still has power.
Hope you don’t take this the wrong way, but I find your voice very relaxing and comforting. It helps me to sleep at night when I’m having anxiety. Not at all to say the content isn’t interesting. But your voice is helpful.
What an insane adventure that was! I'll never forget that place. Completely mindblowing! I can't believe you drank one!!!
It really was! Thanks for showing me around!
@Sara Ford explores don't share the locations on UA-cam, because once they do it'll immediately get trashed beyond recognition and in lots of cases some idiot will set fires and burn the place down
Gotta pour out a cold one for all of those warm ones.
I love the decor, I wish there were more hotels designed like this. Very classic looking
that was a really interesting video! great job guys
Wow, Thanks for the tour. You all are braver than me, I would be way to Chicken to go inside there. Those old TV's bring back some memories, can't believe that place has Power.
I wonder HOW MANY Homeless people would LOVE to have this in their town......
It would be total anarchy... unfortunately!
Wish I had known you were going back to the 80s, I would have asked for a wine cooler. And some batteries from RadioShack.
And tickets to the RATT concert !
The TV at 2:23 looks like it's from about 1992-not 1982.
I wouldn't be surprised if someone was living in that room at one point and brought in some of their own stuff.
Imagine if the tv showed an early 80’s show. 😱
That Pina Collada song is from the late 70's so the funny thing is, that almost certainly played in that hotel back when it was in operation.
This place feels totally alive and conscious, and probably reflects its owner's state of mind :) How is it possible that no homeless people live there? Such a perfect place! Mattresses, free electricity, heating... even beer!
Holy crap totally amazing. Electricity wow that's CRAZY
Keeping the power on is essential so the wiring doesn't rot in case you are going to reopen or something. Same for the heat.
Great video!! I watch Carlo Paolozza and Ddog Vlogs all the time. First video I've seen from you. Nice explore! 🤗💜 Love from New Jersey
I love smaller youtubers like yourself, more genuine and haven’t sold yourself out. Very enjoyable video!
Can’t stand the big youtubers that do these urban exploring...
One of the TVs looks way past 1982. Great explore though guys!
Cheers!!!!!! 🍻🤣👌 Awesome vid ..... glad you enjoyed the place and I'm surprised it hasn't caught on fire yet
What an incredible find. Just so interesting and rare to find the utilities all on to. What a waste when there are families with no home to call there own. Enjoyed following this. Thanks 🙏
Omg the fact the TV works is amazing... Man I love videos like this it's so fascinating...I love the history bit you put in... I'm subscribing 👌🏾‼️well done guys
Wow this video is awesome, I'd love one of those vintage TVS! Great work guys
Those TVs with the built-in radios are from the late 80s/early 90s. I was a housekeeper during that time and I worked in a fancy place that had those exact TVs.
Awesome video.....looking forward to the next one :)
This was a great find !!thanks for sharing safe travels my friend
Amazing!! Thank you for sharing...
Man this was a good one. From the stuff left there, I'd imagine this was last operated in the late 90s. . .
So cool.
Thank you for the video!
As sad as it is, I'm happy that some homeless folk found a functional place, with full power in sections, even despite the dangers More power to them!
Hey guys dropping by from Scotland to say hi and love your channel keep up the great work
He turned the AC on..
i covered my mouth/nose through the phone 🙊🙊😝
El Nesto Brennen! yeeees!
You’ve had such a boom in subs! I joined not too long ago and you had like 7k subs then lol great content! 👍🏼
Never seen anything like it. 40 freakin years and still power, heat, and somehow didn’t burn down. No graffiti and no vandalism. Never witnessed this!
The TV's are all showing static because analog broadcasts are no longer transmitted. They were all shut down a few years ago. Old TV's like this now need a converter box to recieve a digital signal and output an analog feed.
OMG what an amazing find, i wouldn't want to leave that place with all the exploring etc
Carlo & Brennan in the same video! Who knew you guys knew each other! Great video.
It always makes me smile when I can check off Christmas decorations on my urbex bingo card while watching these!😅🤷🏻♀️🎄
*Awesome exploring!* ☺
those rooms still probably cleaner than anything featured on another dirty room :D
Love it. Wish for more just like this.
great video man
Some of those rooms look cleaner than some rooms on ADR lol.
I was thinking the same thing!
Tina Stanbaugh I was thinking the same! Lol
Hahahahahaha!!
Music from fallout . Awesome. Awesome video too.!!
Cool video. I'm picturing that TV coming on in the night, horror movie style
Really enjoyed this video so thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuu 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Well, you should've known when you walked in that there was still power. Exit signs do not glow red on their own.
Awesome video. Bonus points for the Fallout music.
You guys are okay 👍😀 I enjoyed watching this video big time ❤ please continue to make these great videos 👍
thank you for new video.
The fire alarm bell looked almost just like the one on the movie, The Shining!
This is insane power still on that's crazy its amazing that it hasn't caught fire
I find it odd that vandals haven't completely ravaged the place. CRT televisions, mirrors and windows completely intact.
Wrath of Vaughn there is some buildings that look better untouched..
Those old tv's are a bitch to dispose of. Here, they charge $50 disposal fee.
@@wheatifer so leave it on the corner
Those old tube TVs aren't worth anything, anymore. TV stations stopped broadcasting analog signals in 2009.
The Coca Cola cans in one scene are the design from 2000. They've been sitting there twenty years now.
Such an amazing find!! I love your content! Can't believe the power was still on! Thanks for another awesome video!
The music from the last of us was so fitting!
This kind of makes me mad.
So many homeless, and this hotel sits rotting, WITH full electric, for 40 years! 😫
Exactly! If someone could restore this beautiful building or at least get it cleaned up and let homeless people stay, it would be great!:(
Fantastic video
Closed for 40 years? I remember seeing the Stanley Cup promotion back in the early 90's if I'm not mistaken... My money says it's been at least 25 years since it closed down. At least for the bar area anyways.
Still... the Province should know about this place still getting Hydro shunted to the building and it being a potential fire hazard... I love these explorations! Keep it up!
I done that ac trick once made mistake of turning compressor on. It made the room hotter.
What I fail to believe this place has not caught fire with all that water and power.
Excellent video.
"Narcotic enthusiasts" That's hilarious.
That's a remarkable find. How could so much have been just dropped like that? Some film companies would be very interested in that furniture.
I can tell by something that I see in the video that that place hasn't been closed for 40 years.
That was a post 1995 Frank's Red Hot container.
That crazy, I like alot of the retro lamps and different things I saw. Makes you wonder who's paying the power bill there.
AMAZING, NO BUGS
Fantastic.....
Pretty cool see all that stuff intact !!! Cheers to old beer 🍺
Fxxk, Dude........ That is an awesome find.......... I've been watching abandoned videos for a long time and just come across your channel....... Liked and subscribed....... Awesome find guy's....👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I wish the place near my house was still there. They tore it down but it was a mansion behind an amusement park. Had multiple floors, even it’s own gym. Definitely was abandoned in the 80s because of the clothing left there and the art on the walls was something right out of an 80s movie. Whoever owned that place just left/ got kicked out for sure because everything was still there.
I love when you turned those tv’s and they actually came on! I would love to have one of them for my vintage technology collection. But I know you shouldn’t steal from abandon buildings.
I wouldn't care.
I'd take wot ever the hell I wanted-it's just gonna either sit forever or someone else will take it.
Bank seized property with zero profitability. Then city bought it and left abandoned. I smell corruption right there. Someone got a pretty paycheck :)
And the tax payers are still paying for power and water!!!
The exit sign is from the late 90's early 00's. Sad about all that beer just sitting .
Yeah I was thinking the same thing!! Those exit signs are led and they are definitely from the early to mid 2000’s
Geez think about how fermented the beer must be by now.. ya get totally wankered on that stuff!!!
adrian sims Yes gonna lie
Direct payment, there was someone recently found dead in their apartment after 3 years where the landlord checked on him from no use of water. Everything was on automatic payment.
This is unbelieve to still have power!!
What a cool building! You'd think this one should've gotten some sort of interest since they're literally right across the street from Anmtrak / Via Rail & Greyhound Bus.
The fallout 4 ambient music = vibes.
I love this video.
homeless may of turned power back on themselves to have heat
BLISSFUL FAPPER yea they just fart in a mason jar n tape it to the wall, generates enough power .
@jason9022 I've known people who hooked metal strips inside to jump across, missing meters. don't tell me it's impossible.
@jason9022 well it is an old building so most likely it has a hard cut off that someone hooked back up. It's not some new building with a digital cut off that can be done remotely. plus they do meter the buildings even on commercial buildings I used to work as maintenance at a hotel and they had an electrical room with some meters as it took many with the amount of draw of power. each one was tri phase. So don't tell me it can't be done. I know better. it had many 3 phase panels. With power meters in the electrical room. So if the power company pulled the meters someone could by pass them.
not 40 years 36! the tvs are from the early 80s the hotels use back then! i would take those old records too!
Nice vid. Watch breathing in old ac units as thats were legionaires disease settles. Id check on dates as well
Absolute shame with some of these places. Strange how when you discovered the tv was on it was playing something from the 1970’s or ‘80’s.
Can’t believe the electric is still on ..if you don’t pay your bill you get cut off lol..someone has got to be still paying the bill..it is refreshing to see just the natural decay ..I would have thought they would have sold the beer off at the time ,it would have brought some money in ..such a waste and I don’t drink either lol 😀
They said the City owns the property so taxpayers are footing the bill.
Electric is still on. Heaters still running. This smells like they are waiting till the property catches fire and once it burns down they will build over it.
nice insurance payout.
Collect the insurance
When you go into places like that, find the electrical breaker boxes and shut things off.
Fire hazard, for sure
I'm thinking clean up crew. Someone probably dragging this out though. If it goes up, their job got easier. Sadly, people in there fxxking around die.
