  • Short video presentation on my visual observing using the ZWO AM5 configured in Alt-Az mode and using the ZWO ASIAIR PRO for plate solving and capturing the targets in preview mode.
Special Shout out to JPAstroguy and this video "AM5 Alt-Az Visual Astronomy (Episode 10), which gives detailed instructions for configuring the ZWO AM5 Mount from EQ to Alt-Az Mode. This specific video inspired me to use the AM5 Mount for visual in Alt-Az Configuration. Here's the link: • Astrophotography Japan...

    Chapter 2: 00:39 Presentation
    Chapter 3: 00:3:31 Gear Used
Chapter 4: 00: 6:59 Messier 34 is a relatively large Open Star Cluster. It is approximately 1500 Light Years Away and spans 7 LY across. Ref: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messier_34
Chapter 5: 00:07:07 Messier 31 more commonly referred to as the Andromeda Galaxy is a barred spiral galaxy and is the closest galaxy to our own Milky Way Galaxy. It spans 152k Light Years across and is approximately 2.5 Mil LY from Earth. It has an estimated 1 Trillion Stars.

Chapter 6: 00:07:41 Messier 38, also known as the Starfish Cluster is an open cluster in the Const Auriga. It is estimated to be 3k Light Years from Earth and 13 Ly across.
    Ref: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messier_38
Chapter 7: 00:08:01 Messier 45, also known as the Pleiades Open Star Cluster or the 7 Sisters. It is also an asterism containing relatively middle-aged stars in the constellation Taurus. It is approximately 444 LY from Earth and spans 17.5 Ly (Nasa Science.gov). Also ref: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pleiades
Chapter 8: 00:08:37 Messier 52 or M52, also known as NGC 7654, is an open cluster of stars in the highly northern constellation of Cassiopeia. It is approximately 4.6k LY from Earth and 9.5 LY across. Ref: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messier_52
Chapter 9: 00:08:54 Messier 103 (also known as M103, or NGC 581) is an open cluster where a few hundred, mainly very faint, show a Christmas tree-like asterism in Cassiopeia. It is approximately 8k to 9.5k LY from our own solar system and spans approximately 17.5 LY across. Ref: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messier...
Chapter 9: 00:09:36 NGC 869 and 884 (also known as h Persei) are open clusters located 7460 light-years away in the constellation of Perseus.[2] The clusters are about 14 million years old.[2] Both are approximately 7.5k LY from Earth and spans across 33.15 LY. Very interesting - I’m trying to do visual through an EQ-6 on my C9.25. I also have the C9.25 Evo Alt/Az mount - might try that

The Evo mount should allow visual nicely. Eq mounts can place the eyepiece in weird orientation.

Sorry about the music, but you have a music preference or just not prefer to have any music?

Thanks. I don’t think the music helps though.
