it is what it is .. if you need to talk about all those things to everybody after a lap .. you dont have time to drive :D haha .. most guys never check what happened :D
the performance level of this leon cupra's just amazing.
Perfect demonstration of how a well sorted car is much better round the twisty stuff than a bike even one as awsome as the BMW RR !!
It shows how much more fun it is to ride a bike fast, just keep in mind that a slide on a bike has far greater consequences than a slide in a car.

@xthilox going back to your Megane, what sort of mileage did it have at the Ring and what failed on it/needed replacing over time? Also what mods made most benefit?
hi.. nope .. dont go back to the megane. i am not sure .. i think i sold it with 75000km . most benefit i guess was suspension and wheeles/tires .. but at the end it was the mix of all mods :) . no real failes

servus! ja .. man muss leider immer für die anderen mitdenken .. da passieren einem oft die ein oder andere Überraschung :) bmw 235? der Cupra ist für Touris eigentlich optimal .. und ich steh auf fronttriebler :)
Ja ich denke man muss sich vor Augen halten, dass es Touristenfahrten sind und kein Trackday, auch wenn es manchmal schwer fällt.. Bin 2012 ca. 20-30 Runden gefahren mit nem TT und nem 335xi hat schon viel Spaß gemacht aber teuer wars.. Insbesondere weil ich mir die Felgeninnenseite ich vermute mal im Karussell zerdeppert hab. Hast du ne Idee was ich falsch gemacht haben könnte? Zu schnell? ;)
Wie es aussieht stehen mir bad auch zwei Frontkratzer zur Verfügung juckt mich schon in den Fingern wenn ich dich so fahren sehe..
Klar reicht der Cupra bloß würde ich einen guten Fahrer wie dich gerne mal in der schnellesten Fahrzeugklasse sehen, die auf dem Ring ambitioniert bewegt wird. (Exoten zählen nicht) und der 235i ist schon sehr fix mit Downpipe LLK, Steuergerät und Gewinde.. *love*
felgeninnenseite?? mhh .. also wenn man extrem niedrigern reifenquerschnitt hat .. evtl. falschen luftdruck .. aber glaube dann eher nicht ans karussell .. sondern eher nen curb unsanft mitgenommen? schwer zu sagen .. oder waschstrasse ;-)) aber klar .. genen nen GT4 hätte ich nichts einzuwenden .. aber was mich halt reizt ist das Preis-Leisungsverhältnis .. mit Megane und Cupra fährt man halt schon in einer spannenden Liga mit :)

hi! das war die letzte runde .. danach wurde nicht mehr geöffnet. schätze so halb/viertel vor 7. aber vorgestern ;)
OK. gestern war auch so viel los.
ja das wird leider noch paar wochen anhalten .. am weekend kann man eigentlich nur morgens und abends fahren
da hast du es gut. ich habe leider 155 km zum Ring.
Oil temp is more than 140° - is it stock 5w-30, or something like racing oil 10w-60?
And was afraid about lack of fuel - you might stop in the middle of track in case of no gasoline :)
no the fuel lamp popps up pretty early ... then one more lap is possible as there is about 10l inside :) and yes its more "healthier" oil for the engine
And how often do you change oil due to this extreme using conditions?

Oh, I thought in ring cars oil changes every 3000-5000km ))
Also got Leon SC, but not Cupra, just 1.8tsi, and prefer to change oil after 7-8000km, rarely going on track. But I use quite liquid 5w-30, so think maybe it's better to use next time smth at least 5w-40

and another white one .. and another yellow one .. and ... :D all those guys took the bumb before on the left site ... fail when you dont know the track ..
Warst kurz vor mir und bist noch durch die Eiskurve ohne Motorradunfall gekommen. Als ich etwas später kam, war gerade auch noch ein Motorradfahrer verunfallt (ihm ist nix passiert!). Aber das war wirklich eine verrückte Runde. Oder wie Lars sagte, der den Mopedunfall absicherte: Massaker-Runde... ;-)

boah... wenn ich in meine Abobox schaue und mir da die Videos und deren Titel anschaue, war ja wieder mächtig was los auf der Strecke an diesem WE (Samstag). was eine Runde. gut reagiert. wie gewohnt ;)
im sommer kommen immer mehr "lustige" leute hervorgekrochen die EINMAL Ring fahren wollen .. im Herbst wird es meist (hoffentlich) etwas ruhiger :)

Nice video as always. But this is what i dont understand. the situation with the lambo happens to me in the real world way too often....especially not on a track but in a city where there are lanes and people need to use indicators and use the mirrors and not only see but UNDERSTAND the flow of traffic and what others around you might do. driving responsibly is not just looking straight and ignoring the traffic.
Congrats again, Xthilox!! I think maybe the biker didn´t know well the technic part of the Ring just after the Karrusell
he knows .. but bikes are much slower in the curves .. not many bikes are faster over the whole lap .. but it was fun to watch .. espeacially the black rubber stripes on the tarmac :D

What all Meganes are crashing at this corner? Can anyone please explain it to me? It doesn't make any sense!
look that bumb before schwedenkreuz - you have to take this on the right .. but many beginners take it on the left while overtaking .. and then cars with a light rear get unstable and they come on the left grass .. and then it follows a hard crash or rollover on the right site .. i saw many cars crashing there .. but there are many many meganes on the track .. thats why there were 3-4 megane crashs ..

Beim Mini liegt die auch so zwischen 130-145 Grad...

Hi, da kommen wir im Parallelflug (der schwarz orangene Peugeot 206) an den Megane Crash, ich bin nur schon etwas früher auf die Bremse da mir die Staubwolke über dem Schwedenkreuz komisch vorkam ...

Nach dem Unfall hab ich es irgendwie etwas langsamer angehen lassen bis zum Adenauer Forst, deshalb warst Du auch so schnell wieder weg ... ;-)

For some reason, the biker didn't impress me nearly as much as the driver of the Seat. He wasn't using the whole track. Seemed to be showing off more than anything else. The bike is fast, which is obvious, but he wasn't really accelerating out of the corner much, only when it was a straight shot. Nonetheless, great video!

has nothing to do with the megane :) ...dont worry. just stay clear in your head and start it slow .. then nothing will happen. that particular corner is tricky when you dont know the track. just stay hard right and dont brake on that "bump" ..

Ich hab mir jetzt schon einige Videos von dir angesehen und bekomme das Gefühl, dass man echt nur dort fahren sollte, wenn man ein Auto "übrig" hat oder sich gaaaanz langsam rantastet. In beinahe jedem Video gibts eine gelbe Flagge und einen Crash.
hi .. das zweitere ist der fall. es ist die schwerste ABER auch die schönste rennstrecke der welt. man muss einige runden fahren um überhaupt den streckenverlauf zu kennen .. und dann kommen noch sehr viele besonderheiten in jeder kurve dazu die man kennen sollte wenn man schnell fährt .. mal abgesehen von der fahrzeugkenntnis im grenzbereich. viele unterschätzen es einfach leider und fahren einfach mal drauf los .. und dann ist man schnell überfordert wenn man übermütig wird und sich von vermeintlich schwächeren fahrzeugen gepusht fühlt .. also alles easy nehmen .. laaangsam rantasten .. und runde runden runden drehen und spass haben :)
Stimmt schon trotz allem gibt es Öl, Defekte oder Mitfahrer, die es nicht im Griff haben. Da kann das Auto auch schnell mal hinüber sein und man kann nichts dafür.
Macht auf jeden Fall Spaß zum Ansehen. Gute Fahrt weiterhin!

it's a good thing you didn't hit that lambo or you'd be getting shamed all over for it. The other time you went up the inside and honked I was a bit confused too- it's not a track day, you're technically not supposed to be racing, so the fact that he was driving on line when you first arrived at his tail wasn't his fault, only if he continued to block you. I understand the need to go fast though :)
well .. the lambo was on the right and changed his line .. he didnt watch in the mirror i guess ..
the clio was on the outside and i thought he is letting me pass him .. the horn was more a signal "here is somebody beside you"

umso mehr Videos ich seh, um so mehr Angst ich hab vor dem Megane. Erinnert mich an meine erste Fahrt in einem Porsche 911 Clubsport. 2 beinahe Dreher und ich bin dann ausgestiegen, zu wenig Talent und zu wenig Mut für ein leichtes Heck.

Titanium sliders on his knees. That is what makes the spark showers. If he drug the foot pegs like that the bike would probably lowside.
naja die komischen funkenschmeißer schleifer, nichts besonderes, langsam war der Fahrer zwar nicht unterwegs. bzgl des Lamborghini, solche leute verstehen erst, wenn es richtig knallt. Ich würde den zur rede stellen, auch wenns nichts bringt aber einfach mal mit der faust gegen die Stirn klatschen. Da fehlen mir echt die worte, ich würde Handgreiflich werden.

thx! well .. when you have a new car you have to fix some some things or get rid of some little problems.. but its a very good car and perfect tuned for track use .. so nothing special !
