- Der vorletzte Lauf zur VLN Meisterschaft 2012 war wieder einmal spektakulär. Mit 188 Fahrzeugen war das Starterfeld zum ROWE 250 - Meilen Rennen hervorragend besucht und versprach auch für das Frikadelli-Racing Team aus dem benachbarten Barweiler gute Chancen auf eine vordere Platzierung. Sabine Schmitz, Klaus Abbelen (beide Barweiler), Christopher Brück (Köln) und Patrick Huisman (Niederlande) waren guter Dinge und schon im freien Training sehr zufrieden mit der Performance des Porsche GT3 R mit der rot, gelb, weißen Farbgebung. Für das Qualifikationstraining am Samstag galten neue Regeln, was das Passieren von Unfallstellen angeht, so das hier besondere Vorsicht geboten war. Die defensive Einstellung der "Friko's" wurde aber hier belohnt, so das Sabine von Startplatz 2 aus ins Rennen starten sollte.
Die Speedbee machte ihre Sache hervorragend und verteidigte die zweite Position in einem fulminanten Rennauftakt. Vom Start an konnte sie sich mit zwei anderen Kontrahenten vom Rest des Feldes absetzen und brannte ein wahres Feuerwerk ab. Mit 8:14.588 Minuten in der vierten Rennrunde war die schnellste Trainingszeit pulverisiert und so ging es Runde um Runde weiter. Planmäßig sollte die Box nach Runde 8 angesteuert werden, um das Auto mit frischen Reifen an Chris Brück zu übergeben. Doch wenige Minuten vor dem anvisierten Stopp kam die Hiobsbotschaft über Funk: "Ich bin abgeflogen und rückwärts eingeschlagen. Ich glaube ich schaffe es noch zurück."
Tatsächlich schleppte die schnellste Dame am Ring den havarierten Porsche an die Box und nach einer kurzen Bestandsaufnahme und frischen Reifen bekam Chris den Auftrag, das Auto auf der Strecke zu diagnostizieren. Aber was der junge Kölner über Funk an das Team meldete, war nicht die ersehnte Entwarnung. "Das Auto hat Grip ohne Ende und liegt gut, aber ich habe zu wenig Leistung. Entscheidet ihr, ob ich weiterfahren soll." Teammanager Frank Lynn gab das Signal zum Abbruch, um einen Folgeschaden abzuwenden, zu stark waren die Beschädigungen an der Abgasanlage durch den harten Aufprall.
Auch wenn es in diesem Rennen wieder nicht auf das ersehnte Podest ging, so konnte das Rennteam mit der schnellsten Frikadelle der Welt jedoch eindrucksvoll beweisen, wie stark die rein privat geführte Truppe mittlerweile ist. "Heute hätten wir ganz vorne mitfahren können, beim nächsten Mal machen wir es besser", attestierte Teamchef Klaus Abbelen nach dem Rennen. - Авто та транспорт
When you see Sabine driving around the Nurburgring it always looks so easy. Then I watch videos of ordinary people driving the ring and that makes me realise how brilliant Sabine is. 👍
Der Nürburgring ist wie ein Drachen. Ihn zu bezwingen ist eigentlich unmöglich. Sabine hatte den Nürburgring im Blut. Ich gebe allen die den Nürburgring nicht kennen den Rat. Unter 1000 Runden habt ihr den Nürburgring nur in Teilen verstanden. Es gehört Erfahrung dazu diese rennstrecke zu verstehen. Und das Fahrwerk ist eine Balance. Zu hart geht nicht. Und Serie schon gar nicht. Und in den heutigen Autos lässt es sich eh nicht ordentlich fahren. Im manta b oder BMW m5 von 1993 konnte ich noch driften. Ist ja heute nur steril.

6:19 - Blind behind the front car, maybe three car lengths, 200kph+, just sort of hope there isn't anything in the way that the car in front suddenly crashes into, and hope you remember how fast you should go in section (unless you completely trust the car in front and just mirror its speed). And at 10:39 - Wheel to wheel at 270kph+. AMAZING.

It must be rather boring, and rather exciting, to be in one of those slower class cars and then have faster cars like this one come flying past as if you're standing still.
If you have an pc Sim like rFactor, GTR2 or Automobilista you can make a custom series and feel it. Spoiler: It's not comfortable in a slower car, but feels nice in a GT3 or faster car
Think I'd have to have 3 layers of depends on to go on a ride like that......RIP speedy one :)

The tach doesn't show speed, it shows the revs of the engine. It's the coloured line at the top of the instrument cluster. The speed of the car is shown under the km/h heading. I'm not sure what's confusing you.
About the ovetakes; Sabine prefere following otherwise if she wanted would rest a had in breack !.
