Might be a hot take, but I LOVE sunken temple, so if they make it the new raid I'm SO on board. Like BFD I think ST doesn't get enough love, and no one ever wants to run it, so if this is correct, I'm so HYPED.
Shadow Priest maybe underperforming in raids but they're insanely strong in world PVP. Blizzard need to be careful with buffing Spriest because they dominate in PVP too hard. I'm playing a Spriest and I can tell you in world PVP it's sick. Dots melt people and you have Dispersion, Shield, Dispel Magic, Homunculi, Instant fear, Silence, Vampiric Embrace for very strong self healing and SWD is overpowered and literally executes people from 50% to 0 sometimes.
As a mage all it takes is void plague and shadow word pain and I will die. Maybe not immediately but within 15 to 20 seconds I will die. Food cannot even out heal the damage from the dots. Using a pot is a waste because I will still die. Bandages stop working from any damage for some reason. So basically if I don't have a healing priest to dispel or heal me I will die and it's really really dumb. But I also have a shadow priest so it's hard to know how to deal with it. But maybe nerf the dots a smidge and buff mind sear and mind blast so they actually have to cast a spell like mages do
if youre pvping in any other spec than frost, youre trolling yourself - thats why youre dying to spriests nonstop. If youre frost and still dying to spriest, you are just bad sorry to say. Chronostatic preservation heals you for like your entire hp pool too, always have one up on yourself @@drjjloveman
Converting dungeons into raids is a problem as it reduces the small amount of 5 man dungeons to even less. Uldaman - Basically irrelevant for lvl 50s Maraudon - Last wing relevant for a few items BRD - First sections relevant for a few items Sunken Temple - The raid This is not enough to sustain, especially without pvp event and no new battleground. Its 1 raid and 2-3 partial dungeons.
i never understand why ppl think this phase has been to long. the same ppl are gonna rush to 50 get all the shit done and cry about the same thing. im chilling at 40 having fun playing the game. pvp raiding everything. maybe its just me bc i stopped playing wrath after phase one and had a solid break for sod and just really into it or idn. but i feel like lvl 40 has been more fun than 25 was.
There will always be the rushers, and I see what you mean. I personally have gotten a little tired of phase 2 though. Gnomer is on farm at this point, and stv was fun and all, but I didn't enjoy it quite like others. At this point I feel like I'm just prepping characters for phases 3 and above.

As a casual gamer. This phase has dragged on. I’ve done everything I could, farmed Bis, professions, ab rep, mounts. Everyone in my guild is on the same page. They slacked with the p2 content and I just hope p3 doesn’t drag like this for the sake of sod

ez fix to the fishbotting in hinterlands is to add some mobs on the coastline that are aggressive. pop some murloc camps there, make a patrol/runner that goes between the murloc camps and call it a day. now only people actually at their keyboard will be able to fish, and the only downside is that every time this runner patrols by you gotta kill it, but that shouldn't be a problem, no?
it would be nice to have an extra difficulty for dungeons, it will be hard to make item sets that would fit inbetween regular dungeon gear and the raid gear though
Exactly. Hunter is NOT just a ranged legolas type. It is the most stupid class design ever to have 3 "specs" that play 99% the same. There is so much more potential to the class. Ranged marks hunter is just a niche and that is good. Make Trapper, Sentinel, Dark Ranger lore fantasy reality
Gnomer is awful and the only way anyone is having any fun with it is if they are running with a good guild. Even the casual gyilds are garbage at it. It hurts the player base and sours the experience for everyone. There should be a better way to make sure only decent players can access the raid. Like an actual hard quest or a rune/gear check so that raid leaders dont have to waste so much time looking at parses and checking gear of people as they show up to the raid or get screwed by the guy who paid to level to 40 and never got a single piece of gear or any of the runes they need.
I’d rather back track in a raid then go on a linear track like I’m being shuffled through some sorta fun house at a fair. Also, if they add some sorta heroic mode… I really don’t want them to put any gear behind it. Put some cool cosmetics.. sure.. but I don’t wanna feel like have to run those dungeons because they were ass in wrath.
the problem is in the rotation complexity. Classes already have 15+ abilities to press in classic, but they only need to press 1-3 buttons in pve. A 4-6 button rotation would be best, with moderate complexity
I disagree about the backtracking being bad design, its more immersive that you are required to go back and forth to figure things out. BRD is the best example of this. On the other end the lineal dungeon designs like TBC are boring as hell

BFD was way more annoying than Gnomeregan in terms of sheer trash mechanics. disarm spam, frost nova spam, frost bolt spam, stacking bleeds. sure they are easy to kill, but its not fun being stopped in your tracks by frost novas literally every 2-3 seconds.
Not saying sod will be dead but they lost a chunk of people during this phase 2 this week was as long as I could hold on so I quit - I have seen many people also say they are quitting in phase 2 because it’s just boring raid logging

herooic+ is gonna kill the game yet again for gearing alts, it was super shit to gear bad alts in wrath since they where super overtuned and ppl always asked for stupid high gearscore amount in order to join.
I hope they leave the statue encounter in the game but make it 4 horsemen style. You need to have separate groups for each statue and the bosses share a health pool and all have different mechanics. Make it so they teleport groups around at random so you need to have functional raid compositions. We've seen alot of "newer" wow stuff in SOD, let's seem some oldschool classic wow shenanigans now

Idk man, maybe I’m out of touch because I love 1.12 vanilla but why can’t they just take the necessary time required to develop new dungeons and raids for the legacy game?

i completely disagree with this idea of challenging content keeps players retention. Thats the whole reason wrath classic died... dungeons harder just to get 4 emblems of frost, increasing ulduar difficult etc... all those changes harmed the game more than did good. Classic should be easy, a loot pinata.

Simply make fishing debuff you after 1 hour of sustained fishing to force you to take a break.
