You are spot on about raid difficulty. I really dislike the idea of tuning the raids around on world buffs because they are literally not a factor during progression since you lose them after one attempt.
The average player has not even tried sunken temple yet

Áctually, one of the best new introductions to WoW ever imo is warbands. And that is one of the retail system I think they could have implemented in SoD without ruining any of the classic charm. Just make _everything_ shared between all your characters.

its level 50 and a 7 Day ID, at best we get 8 maybe 10 raids in. i dont really want to struggle through it in the name of challenge and then only kill the endboss maybe 5 times
Botters are just going to set up accoutns 30 days before they start botting, literally just a 1 time month delay. Agreed
And then blizzard will get 1 extra month of subscription money from every new bot account
Its still a move in the right direction. It hinders a botters profits and just makes it overall more difficult for them.

nah i think the raid boss nerfs are amazing most players are working class middle age men and dont have time to spend 4 hours in a raid last night when i pugged it the discord was full of laughs and friendly banter thats what wow should be about people having a good time getting loot and pumping
To answer your question about Cataclsym Warlock, Demo is one of the strongest powerhouses all three tiers. I’m a demo main on private servers.
Warlock is also #1 in Mists of Pandaria and I’d go as far as say probably the best a class has ever been designed.
Mop warlock is really fun agreed, but legion affli is still the goat
@@Monnisti I played a lot of Affli through ToS and it was definitely powerful and I liked having perma infernal but the spec had 5 spells. It was so boring lol.
Destro lock in mop is literally a raid boss in pvp
Biggest thing to do as a new account is typically getting bag’s from friends, perhaps some kickstarter gold to get going.
I think the first set of nerfs for the ST bosses was necessary, but the second round where they gutted everything's HP was not necessary at all and actually made the raid less fun
I stopped playing in phase 3 because I lacked time to play at launch and fell behind. Seeing the retail catchup mechanics they are deploying i decided not to waste my time with the phases anymore. I don't have phase fmo and will just wait to play at 60. I have other games to play.
Super out of touch take that a FRESH player is getting kneecapped by not being able to trade and buy shit off the AH. I can count on my single hand where I have had to trade , mail or access the AH in my leveling experience. Spoiler it’s 1 maybe 2 times . And this is a seasoned player. A brand new player ain’t Finna have the gold or know how to go to the AH, who are. You trading ? What are you mailing ? Staysafe calling it a load of BS when he’s the furthest thing from a NEW player. It’s just like the GDKP thing people cried saying how this will destroy raiding and sod will die , welpp it didn’t destroy raiding nor did sod die . You just can’t please classic players.

Did you have a blizzard account already? If you did this change won’t effect you I think, just brand new accounts

@@zdubzz1280obviously. But if u were new it only takes a couple weeks to get to max level really.. So you have to spend two weeks at max level without having anyway to make any meaningful money and can't buy consumes or anything outside of your scope of professions.. It's inconvenient yes it can be played but it would suck

@@H41030v3rki110ny0u it's easy for people who have played the game for years and know every aspect of it to say oh you can do everything in game without ah or trades.. But for a new player who doesn't know anything playing with others and being able to fully interact with others is vital to them.
If you level fresh rn - its kinda mandatory to do enough incursions to reach honored otherwise it will take ages for you to get to a point ppl will take you into ST
I'm sorry, but if you want a challenging raid, please for the love of God, go do Mythic Raids in Retail. People left Retail partially because the top end content is too hard.
For me this confirms that Blizzard are determined to turn SOD into retail and thus completely ruin it.
I feel they should change the 30 day restriction on AH/Trading to like 24-48 hours /played time or something. 30 Days is a bit much. It's a good idea in theory but in practice it fucking sucks lol.
Who in the right mind would think that melee would drop off this phase?! No more high armor bosses, actual good dps runes this phase and superior scaling. Cmoooon
Blizzard could announce that the servers are powered by furnaces that burn live puppies and there would still be apologists who try to justify absolutely any level of their shitty behaviour.
I've played wow for about a year now and as a semi new player I just started using the AH, it's mostly used later in the game and if your new you would most likely quest and do dungeons through the 30 day period, if you wanted to use the AH and can't what's stopping someone from just getting it themselves?
It’s more about them monitoring botters and when they ban their accounts, and seeing how quickly they come back, and knee capping them that way cause even if they keep the account for 30 days then they can track how many more bots they have that are only gathering and going dormant for that month.

i think the new player restrictions is a "the needs of the many" type a thing. totally worth it.
A friend started playing recently and has that restrictions. But he can receive items through mails or trade, I gave him gear and gold. He cannot give me back anything or buy in the AH.
On the same token Staysafe, if Blizzard can see on monitoring that a new account barely plays for 30 days and then is active for 12-18 hours a day in their second month that is enough of a red flag for investigations.
They should make runes account bound so it's easier to make clones. They cater to the casuals with all these nerfs. Maybe cater a bit to the hardcore players and give us an easier time making our clones? just an idea.
It's about being able to ban bot accounts and then if it takes 30 days for new accounts, then those accounts get banned quickly that makes it extremely difficult for the botters to function.
why dont they fix the loot in ST i have gone 2 weeks now with full clears and havent gotten a single piece of gear. literally over 10 hours of raiding and absolutely nothing to show for it. with other people leaving the raid with multiple class spacific tokens while i got nothing. if this isnt fixed soon ill be quiting SoD. if there intentions were to have multiple weeks with nothing to show for it why the fuck would anyone raid? there are multiple people in my guild in this exact same position BUT we have to wait a WEEK before trying again and if it isnt fixed i gaurntee we will be doing next weeks and get nothing

Does the amount of healing reflect how much was prevented from poison cleansing totem for resto shaman’s, I don’t think the raw numbers show everything.
Nah, you (and me) wish. Healing logs are bs anyways though. Like, is a priest that just pumps healing and ignores dispells and purges actually good? Damage reduction like Devo aura, barkskin, divine sacrifice also doesn't show.
On a sidenote, as a pally I actually have to stop healing for multiple gcds cause no one in my raid cares to dispell poisons T.T I wish we got a rune for a poison/disease cleansing aura like the sham totems...

I think you're right that almost no one is playing SoD on brand new WoW accounts. It's a combination of people who have played wow forever and people who played back in the day.
Sure, there will be some new players, but if they're going to stick around, they just stick it out a month. I dont think new players will be as disuaded by this as people think.
The plus is that when they do get 50 and through the first month, their gold they've made questing is more valuable because there is less raw gold from bots.
I love that the classic team is taking botting seriously. I haven't been seeing bots around in general lately.
The Waylaid Exalted trinket is useless trash. It is BoP, not BoA and you don't need more supply boxes once you are exalted. The whole point of the boxes is for rep.

so, i had to make a new acc to play with my irl friends that are also new that wanted to roll ally. none of us could use the a.h 3 of them already quit the game couse they felt scammed lol. unlucky.

Yeah the new loot system just fucked me. a new guy got my trinket and couldnt trade it.
Even if botters want to wait 30 days before the bot on a new account each bot will now cost double the entry fee of 2 months sub time instead of one! 😅
warrior gear scaling needs a nerf, maybe a 1 to 1 ratio between Strength and attack power is fitting. as it is now, its 2 AP pr. point of strength, slice that in half maybe. or 1.5, so 3 strength = 2 AP.

You can buy bags from vendors …bags drop from mobs … I know this is hard to believe but you can play the game without running to the AH for everything .

if you can convince someone to buy bags for you they can still trade them to you, its only _your_ ability to trade that is restricted, but you can still receive items and gold from other players.

Depends, if you are an experienced mmo player and going hard then it could be very annoying, but yeah the average player can just explore the game first.

I'm two weeks in, level 46, got my mount.. however REALLY struggling just to upgrade gear.. I can receive items and gold from other players however I can't give items and gold. It's weird. I got lucky some people helped me out but not having the auction house is annoying AF.. it's only slowing botting down by a month.. really hurting new players. If people didn't help me out I would have quit.
If you can receive gear and stuff from other players I don't think it's that much of an issue. I will gladly help any new players I come across in my circles. It doesn't slow down bots by 1 month, it completely eliminates them, as they will surely get banned in that timespan. If bots are allowed run ramped and screw up the economy, you won't be able to afford anything on the auction house eventually. And that would be for every player. It would suck for everyone. And I don't get why you'd need to use auction house while leveling..the only gear worth getting is from dungeons. The only thing I use AH for myself is to buy consumables for raid and sell mageweave cloth slightly above vendor price if I'm lucky.

And yes absolutely need to use the auction house! I enjoy being able to sell the boe's I get for more profit and trying to solo a mob my same level with gear I've gotten from questing is an absolute nightmare.
