From what I've heard, due to Cedric dying, there was no more Triwizard Tournaments being held afterwards, because being killed by mermaids is fine, but a dark wizard, OH GOD NO

To be fair in the books the contestants don’t face any real danger, the professors are always making sure they’re safe & dumbledor is seen talking to and basically shaking the hands of the leaders of the mermaid people.
@@miskatonic_alumniyeah but they changed a lot of things about it, the teachers were always keeping an eye out for danger & a lot of things were changed to make it much safer, dumbledor even knew the mermaids and had a deal with them, was just a game.

The pronunciation of "accio" is completely different depending on which version of the series. In the films, it's "ak-ee-oh", in the books/audiobooks, it's "ax-ee-oh".
The mechanic of not being able to progress to another TriWiz task because of those crappy shields was terrible immersion killer. Like: Okay, Cedric, the cup was a portkey, but before you will be able to die, I have to come back to Herbology class to get some shields.
I remember the firefighting game! It was called Brave Firefighters, I used to play it when I was a kid. It had lightguns that looked like firehose nozzles and the cables for the guns were covered in actual firehose material.
FYI Not all Harry Potter games are the same for different platforms, for example there is an Xbox or PC version of Goblet of Fire thats completely different and made by different people. Its bizzare, but that means you get more Harry Potter games to check out, yay... P.S. its 'Akkio' in the movies, but 'Akcio' in the books, also its the proper latin pronunciation, since most spells are just latin words...
Nah, Goblet of Fire is the same on all platforms. I think you're thinking of Philosopher's Stone next gen port (PS2, Gamecube Xbox) which was entirely different. Some games did that back then for some weird reason.
Yeah the first three movie tie in games had different versions. After Prisoner of Azkaban, all the console and PC versions were the same. Except the mobile platform versions of course.@@Manic_Panic

Brave Firefighters is the arcade game where you extinguish fires with water hoses in a mansion. It was partly intended to be a fire fighter recruitment tool. An arcade near me had it a few years ago, and I got to beat the whole thing.
Okay this point made me laugh. So from 5:52 onwards you can see them run up the stairs and the dialogue begins, but because all the dialogue is on a timer similar to a cutscene, The boys end up running thru all the cutscene before the dialogue has a chance to match up with what they are supposed to be looking at omfg. 😂😂😅 Good Stuff as always you two!
I remember even as an 11 year old playing this game being disappointed that it was not an open world game like the past ones and was obviously just trying to be a clone of the more successful Lord of the Rings movie tie in games.
