Harry Potter... the boy who; walked around Hogwarts, played Wizard Chess, climbed stuff and caused a moderate amount of mayhem. 🧙♂🔥 We hope you enjoy the vid! We're currently getting back into the swing of things and should have some EXTRA PULP over on Patreon later this week! 🎉 www.patreon.com/MindPulp
I remember it. Unironically love it. The minigames, the sidequests & the discovery points make it for me. This game actually taught me how to play chess.
Same here, never played chess before this game but I used to play wizard's chess for hours and just walked around Hogwarts exploring everything, I wish Hogwarts Legacy had more minigames like this game had, just builds on the magic feel imo
Funnily enough, this game was extremely popular in my home country (Hungary) cause it was one of the very few games (and the only HP game as I know) that had a full-made Hungarian voiceover available in the language options that was actually pretty well done and resembled the movies very much. Many people I talked to who'd played these as a kid considers this as a favourite.
Played this game 2 months ago and even though it's a glorified walking simulator filled with busy work I still loved it for the exploration aspect alone. Hogwarts is not only extremely faithful to the movies but the game is filled with Easter Eggs and references to the books, movies and even the old games and in certain exploration puzzles it rewards the player for their HP knowledge.
I honestly think the Half-Blood Prince game did an even better job with Hogwarts, but Order of the Phoenix is better in terms of gameplay hands-down. HBP has almost no side-quests, the exploration aspect was much less fun and required much less actual exploration, and the minigames are just annoying. If we’re talking about the complete experience, the LEGO games definitely take the cake, though.
This was my childhood fr Used to wake up 6am every weekend to play and any chance I had after school Game is obvs dated now but definitely was insane playing it younger So immersive
I love this. I miss the days of being so excited to play games. Getting up early on the weekends or on Christmas to play stuff. Nostalgia hurts sometimes.
That moment when this was actually one of your favorite games as a kid 😅 For the PS2 though, not the PS3 Loved doing spells and running around Hogwarts :3
The best thing about this game is that you can interact with just about everyone, even if it is surface level. Mafia 1 did that as well, but the remake did not.
This is one of my favorite games ever. The amount of exploration at that time was insane for a diehard potter head. And it is also hilarious. Harry’s rage has no end 😂
@@Sjcstro84 I didn't have UA-cam back then. And I'm not sure UA-cam was even that big of a thing at that time. It probably was like barely 2 years old.
Many, many, many people remember this game. In fact, with so much attention on the Harry Potter/Wizarding World games right now, more people than ever before are probably aware of it.
My brother and I played this game when we were younger. I don't think we ever completed a single objective, because as soon as we got to Hogwarts we'd just wingardium leviosa stone benches and swing them into Ron and Hermione for a few minutes, then get bored.
You know, I figured out why I enjoy watching these guys so much. It's because I feel like I'm hanging out with friends having a good time and seeing as how I don't have any of those anymore this has to do.
I remember getting this when I was 12 or 13 and I thought it was so funny that everyone bullied Harry. Haven't touched the game since Luna's level got me so frustrated. So yeah it's been 8-9 years since I've played it so this was a great surprise
I actually played the PS2 version of this alot as a kid. I always thought that it was one of the few decent movie games out there. Lots of exploration and fun Easter eggs.
I actually liked this game back then. It was the first open world where you could actually excplore Hogwart as depicted in the films. And the music during the final battle between Dumbledore and Voldemort was epic!
I was ao excited to see that they finally got to play another Harry Potter game.... and they skipped The Goblet Of Fire..... I was so hoping they played Goblet Of Fire.
this game. as a kid i played the demo countless of times. i begged my grandpa to get me the whole game but that never happened. but the demo, oh my god i tried everything in hopes of getting as much done as i can before the demo time runs out, im not even sure if it was a time locked demo or quest locked
The way Harry answers to Hermione is actually pretty accurate as when he arrived to Grimmauld he was incredibly irritated with everybody and everything
This is one of the top hp games. The layout of hogwarts was really accurate. It was actually good for a game based on a film. Spellcasting was immersive and fun. You could fight any student pretty much. The way you went up and down stairs plus the moving staircase actually moved. Mini games were fun. The list goes on.
I fondly remember and loved this game when I was younger. I played it recently as an adult and it's definitely not how I remembered it, but the nostalgia was amazing.
The seventh game is just walking... Any actual event in the story is a cut scene. And any "activity" is just helping muggleborns escape from the ministry which is just thrown in to flesh out the game. 😑
I mean Harry saving Dudley here was important to Dudley's character. I'd like to think Petunia cared about Harry too, more so because of what Dumbledore asked her to do. Hey man, I loved Skate 1 and 2.
I actually do remember this one, it was released for the PS2 as well, I had this one and the half-blood prince on the PS2 as a kid. Half-blood prince was actually much better (at least based on my memories as a kid) it was similar to this one, but had added mechanics such as potion making, collectible crests (actually kinda like Hogwarts legacy), and seemed a bit more polished in regards to dueling and stuff. Probably still not the best game but as a kid who was big into HP, these games were fun.
Even as a kid, I hated both the GOF and OOTP games. I skipped over the HBP and DH games because of them. Personally when I played HBP years later, I actually thought it was pretty good.
I got recommended your guys’ video awhile back and am super glad to have found your guys’ channel. I think you guys are going to gain a ton of subs eventually.
I absolutely adored this game for years actually!! I was in early high school when it first came out and I was so impressed with what it presented at the time! And still played it even up to not long before Hogwarts Legacy came out lol!! It was the first HP game where the developers used a blueprint of the film castle to model the game castle, so it was the closest you could get - at the time - to a true exploration of the castle. Half Blood Prince built on it even more by allowing access to the Quidditch Pitch etc too.
Most thorough run-through of Hogwarts Legacy. Thank you MindPulp I've been struggling on this game and Im so glad you did a tutorial on this new extravagant game!
I dunno but I loved this HP game. I got it for my birthday in 2008 for PS2 and I played it over and over again until I upgraded to Xbox 360 in 2012. I loved the aspect of actually duelling with every/anybody, exploration and even the combat. Nowadays it's only smashing buttons to do combinations. Especially for the time it came out, this was an absolute gem and unlike Hogwarts: Legacy, it felt as if NPCs were actually alive, and not all gloomy and having perfect days. It was even dark a tad, which Hogwarts absolutely lacks.
I can't remember which one it is, but there is one Harry Potter game where you can straight up throw a goblin around in someone's backyard into different objects.
@@gallifreyarchives4434 Because it's a song with a message they find agreeable which (clearly) provokes a response. To add icing on the cake, at 14:34 when you are helping the girl get the heart from the owl, it says "Push right on (stick symbol) to sidle" they made a typo on slide and made it sidle 😅😂
I remember playing this game on ps2 and it was pretty much like hogwarts but simple, I remember just casually walking around the castle with the stairs that had talking portraits and got stuck 😂

3:08 That's the funniest part of the video. The line delivery, man! "stuck at the Dursleys'"

Stuck at the Duuursleys 😒
I love how unprompted it is too. Hermione is just asking how her friend's summer was, and Harry responds like an asshole for no reason 😂

This game was 1000x better on the Wii as you had to use the remote to cast spells and it was way more immersive.

This is one of my favorite games ever. The amount of exploration at that time was insane for a diehard potter head. And it is also hilarious. Harry’s rage has no end 😂
What I really miss from this game that Hogwarts Legacy is missing is the noodle hands when casting a spell.
