I find frustrating how Mizora goes out of her way to be as annoying and smug as possible, yet you cannot punish her without harming Wyll. Heck, you cannot even kick her ass out of the camp.
This is why you don't make deals with devils, they give you what you want, but prepare to endure them after or face a fate worse than death. Wyll accepted to make a deal with her no matter what before the story started despite "bad idea" written all over it, he deals with it. Doing a pact with a devil will surely end with them getting what they want from you even if you did manage to profit from them for a while. I must really wonder if it was absolutely necessary for Wyll to make a pact with her to save Baldur's Gate or if some other competent people could have done it just as well without him needing to sell his soul for power.
I found it bs that you are forced to choose between wyll or his father because of her when wyll was already 6 months from being free, so she is basically forcing a new contract on you and the game doesnt let you call her out on her bs , or at least beat her ass when wyll is free from her.

If he's freed from his contract at the end and he joins Karlach in Avernus, they might as well go kill Mizora while at it, she's an agent of Zariel, 2 birds with 1 stone, they fix Karlach's infernal engine and get rid of Mizora.

She interrupts the rescue mission, summoning a bunch of extra enemies to try and kill him, but you can actually get him away alive. She's clearly irritated when you see her in camp, just telling you to get your gloating over and done with.
The outcomes are smiliar if you play as Wyll, except when you enter the door you get to watch the cutscene with the brain before you watch the cutscene where mizora dies and wyll goes up in flames. Wyll also actually speaks and pleads when you are not playing as him. Its kind of unfortunate that Wyll has more to his scenes when you aren't play as him.
@@djlecavalier I only did this with Wyll and I just wish I could see something that didn't happen when he was a companion, like shadowheart and astarion get an extra scene at the end of the game, or like astarion can bite the other companions for extra dialogue. Wyll just runs the same stuff with the same dialogue options spinned slightly more personal
@@zolmation Gale gets a bit more though, starting as him gets Tara to join the camp in Act 1 rather than only getting to see her in the city only in Act 3 (she also gets him started on his magic artifacts to eat, giving him the Ring of Evasion that you are meant to get in Act 3 in anticipation of him needing it, which considering it's rarity and the scarcity of good rings in Act 1 is amazing).
Mizora is a wonderful argument for why you can much more reliably make an effective pact with a Demon. Even when you've got Mizora by the throat, she still has tens of thousands of sub-clauses and regulations to hide behind. At least with Demons, ensuring you are the stronger party can usually be enough to ensure compliance.
I think the nature of devils is what makes it possible to pact with them in the first place. With demons, it's usually never about a contract, more just a quid pro quo of "You scratch my back, I'll stab yours". They're too prideful to be strong-armed, they'll always think they're better than you. Best case scenario they just poof back to the abyss and leave you empty handed.
I always wonder why they even captured her. If she dies doesn’t she return to Hell? And could she even be infected with a parasite? Or was she just collateral when Wyll got grabbed?
How was she captured it was not explained. She is probably to proud to kill herself. Also she is half fiend she still has physical body and a brain so she still can be infected. Atleast thats what i think
she can still be transformed, devils can be turned. what happen was she transformed to an illith and the hells just made him pay for not saving his patron.
Wither said Illithids don't have soul, or rather their soul is destroyed once the tadpole consumed the mind and body. So, Mizora cannot return to hell.
mizora is a cambion, half devil, afaik 5e doesnt specify what happens to cambions when they die in the material plane, but i've read that they either go the afterlife like normal mortals or go to the hells if the grasp of their master is strong enough (depends on the DM i guess), idk if cambions can even be turned, but might be that the mindflayers just annihilate her and not turn her
I wanted to see both options. Chose annihilate first and then quickloaded, Mizora isn't in the pod now and I get stuck in dialogue with the pod. Bugged out :(

A devil killed in the material plane actually dies, and is then reborn in hell. Dying probably sucks for them as much as it does for us. Besides, being banished back home keeps her from returning to the material plane for a very long time. Her boss would probably have her flayed or something of the same inclination for failing her like that.
I wonder what actually happens to her if you leave her in the pod, since that whole "devils can only be killed in their plane of existence" (which I assume is Avernus? in her case) does she get infected?
AFAIK she dies and is reborn in hell (which she does not want to since it keeps her from returning to the material plane for a very long time). Wyll dies for nothing if you fail her.
I assume you get an instant game over and are forced to reload. There are a few times throughout the game where doing a stupid thing in dialogue can get you instakilled, but it's usually very telegraphed.
I'm playing as Wyll now and yes its instant game over. The scene of her dying and wyll being dragged to the hells is the same except the part where he begs and pleads no is cut. Wyll also doesn't say "Mizora? you're Zariel's Asset?" when you find her if you are Wyll. The dialogue options for the scene with Mizora are all the same as well except the last one is removed since you are Wyll. Kind of sad the scenes are better if he's not being played. The only other difference is that you can watch the elder brain scene before you get a game over if you leave her in the pod.

It's pretty cathartic given how much I hate her, but Wyll's agonized screaming after isn't worth it.

That seems to be the case with all the companions. I chose Karlach and it hasn’t been as fun as having her as a companion

She isn’t an actual devil. Full blooded. She can die through certain means and never reborn. Too many people miss these details….

She is not there , i play dark urge Will ( team member ) left my team forever so i think she disapear when will left your team
When I played as dark urge Wyll left my party after attacking the druids so Mizora never showed up for the rest of the story
