I cleaned mine out today. U blocked the outlets and then noticed it was still letting water in. So this will be my next step in fixing it. Thanks for your video
There is a video here that shows how to blow the injectors out by using engine compression, it shows it working. 1. Warm up engine 2. Loosen the clamps holding the injector you wish to remove 3. Start engine leave idling for a few minutes 4. Pop, out comes the injector Using silicon sealer seems a good idea to prevent all the above being needed, thanks for posting.
Great video to late for me just paid out £3000 to fix my 2008 Trafic, injectors stuck fast, new cylinder head and injectors, I will get my garage to seal the scuttle.
I suspect because it was many years before the welded in injectors became a problem due to the leaking and then many more of Renault/GM trying to deny it was a poorly implemented seal.

I wouldn't be so sure !!. I've done a couple of 62 plates and a 63 plate that have all had signs of water on top of the engine. I would advise anyone who has one of these vans to reseal the scuttle panel. It only takes an hour and a tube of silicone. Cheers.
For what it's worth guys and gals. DO NO forget the clean the drainage rubber tubes. One on each end of the scuttle panel. 0:42 you can have a glimpse of the tube hanging below the scuttle panel. On most vans they are clogged since most people don't really care to clean them. Even if the seal is good or "fixed". Water will accumulate, in minutes, and drip all over the engine bay. BTW Just like cleaning the rain gutters in your house! This is a task to be done regularly on ALL cars, all brands. Just like changing the oil! ;-)
Fantastic video. Thankyou for sharing. Too late for me at the minute though. 2 injectors taken out of my 2006, 1.9L Renault trafic. 2 stuck solid (1 and 4). Steeping them overnight with kerosene and petrol mixed. Praying for some good karma tomorrow as i have already bent the extraction hammer. I have a funny feeling i'll be giving Kim Jong-Un a call for the nuclear option.........😲

It was some Irish guy that made that video, if I remember rightly. Best not to undo the clamp all the way, little by little is the secret.
Seeing sometimes even a 20t pressure doesn’t do it, this will only work if they are not that stuck.

I find it better to use black polyurethane sealant. It has good flex and good adhesive quality.

such a simple solution why couldnt the the dealerships do a recall on all of the affected vans
