Very timely. If you watch Hawaii in the LLWS this year, this is something they are great at. They hit alot of 💣's gap to gap

just like going to the game, youd rather be on time, but if you had to be early or late, early is easily the better option. you might be sitting on a cold wet bench whilst you wait for other people to show up, but at least you are there to get your full preparation before the game starts. same applies in the box, youd rather be waiting for the pitcher and be ready than have to catch up to them and rush through your preparation

Very good and Ted Williams said it is not an exact science but one thing about the load and people don't say much s bout it but very important sighting and or tracking the pitch don't stare a hole thru release point fix your gaze off it but I'm pitchers wind up shift gaze to small area where ball will be released it is a trigger moves right into load should be in a position you want in hitting zone down and in up outside take it other way varies from whole zone to zone within zone should be visualizing through hitting area until either you do with damage or go. Other way or don't at all don't at all over the course of time is a key to green light you want to hunt pitches to drive

Hey Matt. I love your content and videos! I’m a youth coach out in San Diego and work with a lot of Little Leaguers. The significance of this is little league does not allow you to be on deck for safety reasons. What are your thoughts/suggestions on teaching timing for Little Leaguers without being able to be on deck? Also what are your thoughts on teaching timing for machine pitch divisions?

Maybe like practice your load and stride in the dugout instead of timing them in the on deck circle.

Do you recommend a medium sized leg kick or just a quick and compact lift of the foot and then go?

this is why Acuna cant hit fastballs right now. hes always late getting to his load because he doesnt rush it, but starts everything late and sets up very far from his hitting position

@@Uncgoat4. hes demolishing baseballs but his numbers on fastballs arent good
      .254 BA, .391 SLG, 19.7 K%
for a player who typically dominates fastballs, he has been quite bad with his timing on them this year
      his expected numbers are
      .287 xBA, .512 xSLG
i know you could be trolling but in all seriousness his numbers just aint good compared to the past where he had .600 SLG on fastballs
