Terrific performance, crisp, well articulated, great dynamics and real feeling. She also gets my unofficial Wilhelm Kempff award for fidelity to the rhythm - so many pianists these days seem to be trying to create a unique interpretation by artificially meddling with rhythm and for Beethoven in particular that's a great way to ruin a piece. One further word - though I hesitate to comment on the appearance of a female pianist given the usual excessive commentary on this aspect on youtube, the hairstyle, outfit and body language really complemented this performance. Often I prefer not to watch a performer as it's a distraction but in this case found the visuals to be an enhancement to enjoyment of the piece and quite mesmerizing because of Ms. Huppmann's obvious absorption in the music. Germans can play Beethoven, but it takes a gifted Russian to bring all those centuries of brooding introspection to the table for a sublime experience. Well done. And by the way, I love the haircut. It's a character of it's own in this drama. And love love LOVE the muted and varied tempos you've brought to II. Adagio cantabile.

Beautiful, also really nice that you add the possibility to watch this video in such high resolution, it really adds to the performance in a positive way.
Your mastery of the technical playing is wonderful to hear. Your mastery of the emotional completes the piece. A piano in perfect tuning enhances it all. Thank you so much for your gift to lovers of classical music played the way it's supposed to be.

She loves what she does, firmly and completely involved in her version of this music. … Showing her own views. This is Interesting to share it with us. Wow.

Naturally, women are the finest piano players since they can be fully "in the moment" rather than thinking about the next golf game. Yet perhaps Anastasia is best of all, better than my 3 favorite Russian and 2 favorite Korean pianists. Really, how could this Sonata ever be played better? What exceeds Divine?
I think there might be something to that. Woman have powers of sympathy, emotion and expression that normally far outreach most men.
What a heartwarming performance! Enjoyed it a lot...

Just amazing! Thanks for sharing your talent, and the music of the great maestro, Beethoven!
🙏
Semplicemente meravigliosa, interpretazione intensa, è sempre un piacere guardarti suonare.
'Guardare suonare'? " ..., interpretazione intensa, ..." ? Lei si riferisce alla 'interpretazione' gestuale? Lei disattiva l'audio?
Masterful! I especially love your unique and effective timing and accents, reminding me of the freshness and excitement that André Cluytens brought to the Beethoven's symphonies (among his many other contributions). Your energy and strength puts the masters to shame! THANK YOU!
You should be glad she left Russia
Utterly hypnotising. The rest of the world melted away as I watched and listened. Beautiful interpretation. I am now inspired to learn this piece, thank you so much.
🙏🏻
Beautiful, also really nice that you add the possibility to watch this video in such high resolution, it really adds to the performance in a positive way.
Your mastery of the technical playing is wonderful to hear. Your mastery of the emotional completes the piece. A piano in perfect tuning enhances it all. Thank you so much for your gift to lovers of classical music played the way it's supposed to be.
🙏
I can only remember my dear mother playing this, as she was in her late twenties. There is here an energy I have rarely found. Beautiful!
Yes. Sounds nice. Altoug a little bit Hard for me.
Anastasia Huppmann is a GIFT from GOD. Extraordinarily talented--a beautiful performance with exquisite nuanced sensitivities in each phrase. 🧡 💛 💚 💙 💜 ❤
Thank you 🙏🏻 To read these wonderful words from a person with such an adorable face is a joy!😍 (doggos forever 🐶)
@@classicalpianist You make my happy dog even happier with your wonderful piano performances! 💖

Excellent performance from the beginning to the end ! Impressive !
🙏
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing. Love your hair style!
🙏
Passion, talent and beauty. Is there anything more attractive? No there isn't. We have reached the peak. Wonderful.

My father played this often. Your phrasing is very similar to his. He's gone two years, now. Thanks for bringing him back for a little whilee. :)
🙏🏻
I love the way you play. You make it look so easy. Thanks for sharing your amazing gift with us.
🙏
One of the most beautiful interpretations i have ever heard.
You made it yours.
🙏🏻
She loves what she does, firmly and completely involved in her version of this music.
… Showing her own views. This is Interesting to share it with us. Wow.
No doubt, Best version of the No.8 I've ever heard in my life!!!🔥🔥 Truly blessd thank you so much
Bravo, Anastasia! Your playing is so expressive and beautiful. I loved listening to this. Thank you!

this young lady is an excellent pianist as well as being quite beautiful.

BEAUTIFUL LADY WHO PLAYS LIKE A ANGEL THE MUSIC OF BEETHOVEN
🙏🏻
This is my favourite intepretation of all I've heard. Exquisite peformance!
Thank you 🙏🏻
As a pianist who also performed this piece, I loved your interpretation. The effort to show each detail it's so good. I enjoyed it very much!
Oh, I love everything about this performance!

Anastasia, you are always so technically perfect!! Powerful, passionate and fabulous! Top performance of this famous and beloved Sonata!! BRAVO! ~Jackie

Incredible ability to separate out voices and beautiful phrasing. Wow!

I'm a man, and though I'm also a Pisces, a musician, a creator and a romantic, I believe that (many, but not all) woman have empathy and a well of emotions, along with the ability to reach into those depths, that most men will never understand
Hello! ANASTASIA!
Thank you for your mention of Christmas, and for offering us listeners the hospitality of your youtubechannel. Thank you so much. This video is very beautiful both to the eye and ear. Light and shadows seem to suit both you and the Sonata. Also, love the black turtleneck sweater, so sharp! Shorter hair great! 🎉
Years ago ,about 1961, in
Detroit, Michigan, i was able to hear a concert pianist named Karl Haas, from Germany, play live the opening of this Adagio cantabile , on weekdays, to open his radio WJR-a m morning show "Adventures in Good Music". Doubtless you have heard...now, your beautiful video and wonderful playing bring all this back and give me , give all of us, such a wonderful living experience of this Beautiful Sonata. Thank you again.❤🎉
Thank you 🫶🏻
@@classicalpianistWelcome back,Anastasia!! How nice to hear from you today especially! 😊 ❤
@@classicalpianistThank you again, Anastasia, i just watched your video again tonight...the most lovable performance of the Pathetique, so thoughtful, too.

Thank you to share. Magnificent interpretation of a young and beautiful lady.

Magnificent. So beautiful. Anastasia you are amazing..
You are!🫶🏻
Striking how Anastasia is so talented and beautiful. She must be an Angel.
or not! Only two possibilities.

I have never known such beauty in music. Thank you.
Right ❤
Nobody is gonna mention how awesome her hair is?
🙏🏻
Once more through with a comb, I'd recommend.
@@Emslander no way.
I'm not, anyway. There's nothing wrong with it, but that''s not what this video is about. It's about the music she plays, not about her hair or her attire.
Same with Beethoven.
Bravo , I enjoyed every note you play , I enjoyed every note Beethoven he wrote . Thank you very much .
I'm just getting started on Beethoven. But I must say she is the prettiest pianist I've ever seen.
There is also Hélène Grimaud, stunningly beautiful.
Brilliant as usual. Love the way you play Beethoven.
🙏
Oh Anastasia it's such a quality material. I am impressed. And the new hair! I like it:)
🙏
Absolutely love the Pathetique sonata. You excel in bringing this sonata to life and play it so beautifully. I play this sonata but have not brought it up to the tempo it should be played at as you do so magnificently. I will keep practicing it and listening to your recording of it to help me bring it up to tempo. Thank you for recording such beautiful music. I thoroughly enjoy all of it.
I would love to hear you play Chopin's Prelude Op. 28 No. 24.
Here is Kayla ok
Thank you!🙏🏻
Excellent and beautiful. One of the few recordings I found that come close to the passion of my absolute favorite recital by Vladimir Ashkenazy. Bravo!
