    Just rewatched it and set up my DX6 this way. As a newcomer, this is pure gold! Thanks again!

    I just ordered my Libelle and plan on dropping the DeVention Devo 7 receiver into it, I am hoping it will fit. Great video, exactly what I was looking for. Now if I can just figure out how to do all this stuff on my Devo7 all will be good ;) It's people like you that make us nubies lives easier, a huge thanks for doing this, MUCH APPRECIATED !

    Thanks for making this video. If you make a similar video in the future, please consider the viewer : we listen at the same time as we read. As currently presented, we have to listen read and watch all at the same time. I'm unfamiliar with the concepts you explain. Doing all three things at once is really hard work. In the end I turned your commentary off, watched the video a few times, and then turned the commentary back on again. Explaining stuff you understand well to those who don't is not easy.

    excellent! Just set mine up, was flying great with just a flaperon and flap setup but this is much more control- a bit scary to try but...

    I have 2 questions, please. #1. When you say FM, are you referring to the throttle stick? #2. When discussing flight modes, are speed mode and cruise mode the same thing? Thank you very much.

    I am new to programming, but I have an NX8 to do it with. Could you tell me what FM stands for? Thank you very much. I'll keep watching this video until I get it. Peace, David

    Richard a late thank you for posting a great video. I finally got around to building my Libelle and am setting up my Dx8 to use with it. Did you use the Acro plane type or Sailplane type. I can’t seem to get the throttle to show up In the servo screen just MOT. I am using a Lemon 6Ch receiver. I’d like to be able to control my flaps with the throttle stick but having a time of it trynna figure it out.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    David

      Same radio, same issues...can't get it sorted...

      Paul Gross I may have figured it out. Make a new model as an Acro rather than Sailplane. I named mine Libelle Test. In Acro set up, you can fiddle to your hearts content with the settings in the video. I’ve almost have it sorted. Try it and let me know if you get any closer. You can email me davidkritzberg@gmail.com maybe we can work it out together. Lol

    do you have some kind of covering on your wings and rudder?

    • @28th_St_Air
      @28th_St_Air  3 роки тому

      Hi I did not put any covering on the wings or rudder other than the colored packing tape strips on the underside of the wings to help with seeing which side is up or down during rolls. The plane is best if kept nice and light so I would not recommend covering with tape or other shrink film. I used to put shrink film on some planes but it ends up only looking good for the short time and then gets dinged up. Foam safe paint is better. good luck

    Hello do you have a start mode for Discus Launch?

    • @28th_St_Air
      @28th_St_Air  10 років тому +1

      yes and while some people create a mix of aileron and elevator travel for launching, ive programmed a single switch to control about 1mm or so of just down elevator movement. you'll have to experiment with what works for you but my glider did not need much down elevator travel to keep it from arcing up too abruptly on launches.

    Hi, what type of reciver are you using?

    • @28th_St_Air
      @28th_St_Air  Рік тому

      I believe it was a spectrum 6i

      Thank you, i bought a ready kit with servos and recommended 4 channel receiver from spektrum. I can’t really find the way to plug everything in the way that I can program the flaps. I wonder if i’m doing something wrong or if I definitely need a new 6 channel receiver. I’m new to this and it’s my first build with programming. Thank you for your help!!!

      @@kubaskaw3034 does your transmitter have a flaps switch? I’ve not taken a look at a four channel receiver lately to know if they typically have a flaps switch or not. Even if your transmitter doesn’t have a flap switch, if it has a way to program a couple mixes you can still reproduce some of the settings I outlined. I can now see that I was using a spectrum dx8 tansmitter in the video. I initially bought a DX6i transmitter, but quickly learned that there were some planes where it was convenient to have more than 6 channels and that an 8 channel transmitter was much more versatile. I haven’t bought a transmitter in a very long time, but no, there’s some really cool digital ones out there now with all kinds of convenient features for mixing settings. If you buy another transmitter, I’d recommend getting one with at least eight channels. It’ll cover you now and for all the other types of planes you get into over the next few years.
