    Thanks for making this! I've found that often people don't go through how they do strapping in tutorials and don't explain why they do things, so I really appreciate you taking the time to make this. The sturdy plastic around the snaps will save me the heart ache of stuff tearing in the future in particular.

    I now love those SNAPS! I've been using the sew on style snaps for everything in the past. BUT NEVER AGAIN. I will never sew another snap again. On my way to Wally World and getting a cheap trashcan and snap kit. Thank you so much. You saved me to so much tedious time.

    You are the man! Thank you so much. I'm just starting. First build is Thor's suit of armor now that I have long hair, and hopefully it turns out great. I had so many questions, and you helped out a lot! So I appreciate it. Wish me luck

    Thank you for posting this... I used belt clips for a costume but your video helps show a better way that would've saved my armor versus now I have to redo all clips and buckles.

    Great advice on the sanding down part! I've always noticed that i didn't stick well so I would burn the surface with my heatgun. Sanding seems safer haha

    oh my goodness, I didn't think about sanding it down. My 9yo daughter started cosplaying seriously 6 months ago. one of her straps popped before the contest. She told me to just glue it directly on her leotard to get her through the event.

    New Subscriber, Great job on this video, Your costumes are fantastic. thanks for sharing. My tip for you is your webbing straps were frayed, you probably already know that you can take a lighter to the fray part and heat it with the lighter this will prevent further fraying.

    have you done velcro on biceps or gauntlets? would you consider it a good idea

    • @cullencosplay
      @cullencosplay  9 років тому +1

      onirasha I have done velcro on the biceps before and they work fine. Since foam is light there is not an issue with it. Same thing with gauntlets. I just really prefer the eyelets or pressure fitting because of the time it takes to suit up or how it holds when I strap.

    +cullen cosplay what did you use to keep the straps from coming off? English isn't my native language but if you write it down I can search for it

    • @paulpardee
      @paulpardee 8 років тому +2

      +Elena Beatrice Martinelli He uses sandpaper to rough up the foam, then uses hot glue to glue the straps to the foam

      you need to ask for Eva foam mats. for mandalorian armour Eva isn't a used product if your joining mandalorian mercs costume club. you need sintra / foamex for Mando armour

    • @Protaneum
      @Protaneum 8 років тому

      BabeShadeZ It's sold as yoga mats/palates mats or flooring for a home gym. In the US, it's sold at supermarkets, like Walmart, rather than craft shops.
