I bought this kit last week for my aprilia sr 50 with piaggio engine. It was very expensive over 400 euro. My experiences so far: its a good designed kit. The engine revs much more aggressive, and the advance is so important for engine power. Only the maping explanation in the user manual is not clear. There are 7 settings, but i missed some more detailed information. Also the mhr replica with part number 318864 is not on the table to find the right pre advance timing.I set mine to 1.55mm after some testing. In your video you say, you can better spend the money to other things, but i think this is also an important part to make power. i mounted the yellow wire to one of the 6 connections of the original plug, this is necessary to turn the engine off (short to ground). thanks for the good video and explanation of this product, it helped me allot.

Hi Peter, Thanks for sharing your experience with the MHR I.R. We found the Ignition is best suited to the higher class Cyl. kits. Yes totally agree, this is a MUST for the power unleashing at the high class kits. Thanks for supporting our channel🦘🦘

@@scooterstreetau Hello short update on this product: Last summer i mounted this kit. (my setup mhr 70 replica, 22mm carb yasuni c16) I tested allot settings, but still not 100% happy. The top speed with an original stator/flywheel and malossi k15 tc unit was way higher. To set the timing its important to use good tools. First i had a manual tdc tool, but this was not precise enough, so you need a digital gauge. Best is to use a pro timing light.
Question: Where is the letter A for on the rotor? its not in the manual.

    Hi,
I’ve got a Derbi GPR euro 3 engine where I putted on this ignition. I have a 50/100 Monaya king size crankshaft en a 2fast 100cc cilinder with a spacer plate underneath which gives 106cc’s. No I was wondering how many ignition advance / timing I should put it on? Because like you said malossi makes some things really complicated…
Some guy said to me around 4,6mm but I don’t know if this is accurate so I wanted to verify before burning a hole on the top of my piston 🙃.

You need to get the instruction from the Manufacturer of the parts. They will have the information for the cylinder and crankshaft. It is very high end.

Hi my sr 50 r 2020s electric start has completely stop working. Before when pressing the starter it made a clicking noises but didn’t start when it was cold. But now nothing at all happens when the button is prest. Ps kick starter works and I have a malossi euro 4 cdi and a racing ignition coil.

    • @scooterstreetau

The battery is the most likely culprit, you need to load test it. Easiest method is to take it to a shop and have them check it. If the battery is strong, you need to remove and test the starter motor. If the starter motor us working as per normal, the most likely culprit is the starter relay. Unfortunately all three of these are relatively common failures.

    Hi there.
super good video and really good description of the product. I just need an answer to one small thing..
Is the Malossi MHR Team2 ignition,
    PVL system.
    or
is the Malossi MHR team 2 ignition
    Selectra system.
What system do you think it is..
my personal opinion : Selektra system..

Unfortunately, many stores sell this malossi MHR team 2 Ignition as a PVL System
and I have no idea why or how they come up with the idea that it should be a PVL System.
It doesn't even look like a PVL system, if you look carefully it is clearly visible that it is a Selettra system and if they want to tell you something about the product, it scares me that they themselves don't know what they have in their hands first of all

Can I run stage 6 sport mk11 on my zip sp with standard water pump and radiator? Or would you say put an electric pump/bigger rad? previously ran air cooled appreciate any advice with it

We run this kit with standard cooling system on similar water cooled engines and have great results. Make sure to test the thermo switch is working properly and activating the Temp gauge on the dash, flush radiator and check the cooling system flow. In our region we have a warm climate so we cut out the thermostat.
