The bandcamp credits for Wongs Cafe list every instrumentalist on every song and for every one of them it's usually Jack Stratton - Guitar, or Theo Katzman - Drums, but for Joe it's always Joe Dart - Joe Dart Bass
My life changed musically after seeing the MSG concert a few years ago. Vulf are simply the benchmark in musical talent and entertainment. This concert was incredible. Thank you.
If that changed you, then you gotta go watch the Ancienne Belgium concert. It was before the MSG show, but as far as live shows go, it's my number one go to.
I was at this show and was rolling my face off. When they came on in bathrobes and those hats had me levitating myself, one of the best shows of my life. Also the massive grin on the "ice boy"'s face when he plays the drum part perfectly was my favorite part of the whole show.

The fact that most of Vulfs discography is instrumental while they have one of the worlds greatest singers as one of the frontmen of the band is crazy to me. (I'm refering to Theo, this is just my opinion)

@@UOFKfan100 Yeah, I know, I just mean that Theo has one of the best voices in the entire world and most Vulf songs are instrumental. I'm not complaining about that btw
@@noneyabusiness9262 Check out Live at Madison Square Garden and Live at Bonnaroo. Madison Square Garden is arguably their best gig yet, especially with the addition of trombone and percussionist!

Great show. Joe is my favourite contemporary bass player without a doubt. Up there with Rocco, Bernard, Norman and, dare I say it, Jaco. Those hats remind me of Peter Gabriel - I know what I like (in your wardrobe).
This is good for drumming practicing. I found out that practicing while looking up or with my eyes closed helps with timing, especially with fills. They have a great energy.
I haven't seen them since July 22, 2016 when they opened for Medeski, Martin, and Wood and The Motet at Red Rocks. Never heard of them but immediate fan and this was when the touring family was small. The next year I had the chance to see them at Ogden Theatre in Denver an hour away from where I lived. It was in a work night and I thought I'd catch them another time...whoops, they blew up right about that time and don't play clubs that size anymore. But I've seen Cory a few times and got to briefly meet him and talk with Antwaun a while at the show in Austin. Saw the Flyers in Amsterdam a few months ago while I've been traveling Europe too :) Anyone Vulf-related is going to be stellar
Jack actually stated in an interview that this was not planned originally. The schvitz theme was originally supposed to be exclusively for the festival.

37:47 i love joe dart so much man
The fact that the crowd was shouting "JOE. DART ON THE JOE DART" at 12:32 referencing the MSG concert is astoungind!
Wait you hear that?
its not an msg thing its just a vulf thing in general, even before he had his signature jack shouted joe dart on the fender bass
@@elarmincs thank you for the lore explanation man

THEO is unbelievable
I just discovered this group today... and i f'n love this!
Welcome to vulfnation 😎
gotta check out conscious club (with the vocals) :)
Check out Fearless Flyers. considering this a 5 month old comment you've probably heard them and most of Cory Wongs and Vulfpecks other projects
Funk! ... i just opened it to check it out for one tune, and just caaaant stop watching! Its some kind of black magic!
loving the new "devo midsommar cult" look vulf is doing now
I’m so ashamed of myself for just finding these guys now
Found them at the start of the year. Been in love with their music since 🙌
My sentiments exactly
Yer not too late.. Vulf is best experienced in the present 😎

This set has soooo many new "definitive versions" of songs. Can't stop listening
I love how these guys' audience favorites include so many instrumental songs, even while they have killer singers like Antwaun, Theo and Joey.

This isn't even one of their best gigs but its still phenomenal. That says a lot about how good they are! Brilliant musos and so much fun to watch.

So few hats yet so much talent.
49:40 Where we at....what key?
😂😂😂
Love it!
ridiculous they pulled that off
SOUL.... so much PURE SOUL
It’s crazy how they all can play like 4 instruments
Joe Dart plays very well the Joe Dart.
That version of Radio Shack is the best thing I've ever heard !!
"B- on theory” had me dying 😂😂
Joe’s tone is just so unbelievable
What a nice opportunity for Ice Boy to really break through!

After seeing this I totally agree with her reaction! I feel like a different person after watching that. Maybe she saw into the future.
i swear jack says antwaun stanley with the same exact inflection everytime

Jack’s drumming has always been solid, but never THIS solid

I’ve read folks asking if virtuosity still matters. Here’s the answer. Funkarific virtuosity = Vulfpeck! Grooves clean and deep!

Oh that is great - what a come back gig!! all amazing
This is some beautiful, golden, S tier Vulf right here. Gotta be one of my favorite concerts, absolute all-time banger.

Thank you for putting this out! I wish I could've been there but had a splendid time watching on my couch!!
The longer it goes, the more I turn it up.
The more I turn it up, the longer it goes.
The real reason they use the Vulf compressor. Without it, they would break the funk/time continuum
some have identified similar pattern with beats and funkyness ua-cam.com/video/EpYHp-W51H4/v-deo.html
Lots of experimentation here. This feels like a tryout for future shows. Most of it lands.
I was there! What amazing energy on stage. This way my first Vulfpeck concert but certainly won’t be my last.
Same! And I hope it won't be my last. What an amazing energy before, during, and after.
same for me
