This session is UNREAL. The fact they recorded it in what seems like a perfect one shot, the way they’re all so technically perfect and that everything comes up so clean, the way they’re all so coordinated instrumentally and they sound like an album, the harmony of their voices matching so perfectly, the way they rearranged most of their songs and worked their transitions, not to mention the incredible (literally) sound engineering.... this is mind blowing 🤯. I discovered this band around 3 years ago when they just had a few EPS, I know they had something special... but After having seen them live 3 times and now seeing THIS, can say that they’re hands down one of the most talented and technically perfect band around. Such good instrumentalists, this is masterpiece

I've tried to work while having this live as my background but couldn't help constantly getting back to the video and just being blown away by this combination of talent and sound perfection. 10/10 recommend for admiration, 0/10 recommend for work.
They're great technically and I love this live set, but come on. They rely heavily on a funky sound that has worked in the past and don't bring anything that innovative. There are more interesting candidates for "best active band". But Parcels do what they do really well, hands down.
@@wave9142 Innovation is only one aspect of greatness... and that they pull together so many fine elements is in itself innovative...to be able to 'do it all' is why 'one of the best active bands' is valid imo...
How is it possible that these guys are so coordinated and technically perfect, each one of them? It's like listening to a studio record, except for the fact that this is live. I mean, these are among the best instrumentalists around, hands down! More than that they're also prolific musicians, mixing electronic, funk, pop and rock styles. Can you ask for more?
I get the impression when listening to them that they have a clear picture of what they want their 'sound' to be. I think the magic comes in the fact that there's a really strong organic/funky element to the instrumentals, and the composition is on point too, but the textures and production have a really specific and unique character.
@@j3ncst3x41 I found them because of Jungle too. I Was listening to Jungle and youtube autoplayed Gamesofluck, never thanked youtube random sugestion more in my life
Patrick is the most talented musician I’ve seen to date. Every time the camera is on him he has a different instrument. He’s flawless with the beat machine and the glass bottle in myenemy was so perfect.
You are spot on, all of the band are absolutely incredible, I was lucky enough to see them in Manchester, but Patrick, well, he is pure magic, just something soooo special about him.
"Every time the came is on him, he has a different instrument". I only see keyboard, guitar and... well... bottle. But yeah, I agree. He's probably the most talented in the band.
I hear Supertramp, I hear Beatles, I hear Pink Floyd, Daft Punk, Chic, Toto... but it's none of them. ohhh.. What a voices, what a groove! Well done Parcels, thank you.
Top tier. Some of the best music of our generation in my opinion. Flawless. Authentic. Tight af. Rehearsed yet flowing. Clean but dirty. Fire and ice. Beyond insanity. I love you. Never stop.

Hi! I dont know much about sound engineering, but I'm curious about what things do you listen to or perceive that makes you think like that? Someone said the snare, what else? I wanna learn! Thank you!
I'm actually not someone who regularly comments on UA-cam. But I stumbled on this and it made my whole year. The feeling of discovering a new band that just blows you away is a rarity.
Not to be that guy, but that's how tons and tons of live albums are recorded, unless they take audio from multiple shows... This is really no different from them playing a concert, there just isn't any people and the sound is 100x better in a studio. Not saying this band isn't super talented, just that that is a common template for making a live album.
I just whatched this with my dad and my grand mother whose husband recently passed away. She watched the whole thing smiling and dancing on her chair and kept saying: so beautiful, so good, makes me feel alive! Thanks Parcels for Music that bring people of all ages together!
They’ve said in an interview that that feeling of being free and happy and lost in the music is the experience they want to create for everyone who hears their music 💙 I love these guys so damn much! Beautiful souls creating beautiful music
This totally deserves Album of the Year. I'ts absolutely brilliant, outstanding, moving. It has ups and downs, happy, melancholic, nostalgic and sad moments. It has everything. Just give them the award already.
Not a moment of my life during the duration of this video was boring. I laughed far too much out of pure joy, i yelled at my computer screen in disbelief, I even let out a single tear of pure happiness. The energy of watching them as such a cohesive unit is genuinely unmatched. I rarely feel this much emotion towards music and it is typically with my most praised artists. This is my first hearing of Parcels and I feel like i've been emotionally moved. Hat is fucking off to parcels.
back in 2021 i was with friends at a coffee shop and they were playing this in the place's radio. we couldn't believe how good it sounded and asked who were they. after that we got home, lit a joint and listened to the whole thing. it became the soundtrack of that beautiful year for my roommate and I, and every time we hang together and some of these songs sound, we remember gladly those days.
These guys traveled back in time. They went to the future, they learned, they went to the past they learned. And in the present they created this genius. Amazing man!!
When I first watched this, almost two years ago in the peak of the quarantine, It had something like 100k views. Today it has 6,5mi and I'm responsible for maybe 1/8th of those views
i've never related to a comment more! i distinctly remember the first time i listened to this in my room after online class and i still come back to it now.
Around three years ago I was depressed and I found Parcels music. I swear that listening their music was one of the reasons to still see beauty in life. Today I watched and listened carefully this masterpiece and I really feel happy to be alive.
I'm at a lost for words. Great harmony, fucking amazing vocals, the tighest bassline + rythm guitar combo I've seen in years, and the drummer is SO FUCKING PRECISE. This is definetely one of the best band performances I've seen in my life. I need to see them live.
It's hard to put into words how much I've enjoyed listening to this over and over....and over again. So groovy, catchy, and easy to listen to but with an incredible level of musicianship. It just feels special, one of those magical moments. Its fantastic from the first note to the last. Bravo!
I know and love this album so much that I actually know of three tiny mistakes: 2:36 the HiHat is slipping for one beat 16:27 somebody is singing too high 40:46 the bassline is slipping off for a moment
Every day, 50,000 people around the world watch this video to brighten their lives during the pandemic. Let's go for more, Parcels!
Never heard of these guys before and definitely didn't expect a sound like theirs in this day and age. But as a musician I'm very impressed. Anyone who plays real live instruments nowadays as well as they do here deserves nothing but respect. Great songwriting and flawlessly harmonized singing makes their sound really perfect. Also nothing but the highest praise for the sound engineers and people behind the mixing board for this one. I know Hansa is an amazing legendary studio but absolutely everything about this recording sounds so absolutely impeccable it's almost unreal. Nothing but excellence from everyone involved.
Greetings from Concepción, Chile.

Arguably, one of the best active bands in the world.
They're great technically and I love this live set, but come on. They rely heavily on a funky sound that has worked in the past and don't bring anything that innovative. There are more interesting candidates for "best active band". But Parcels do what they do really well, hands down.
LOL
Wave thats the exact reason I say that using 70’s sound nowadays in a production is cheating. You do it and everybody gets excited (Cus ya know..70’s)
@@wave9142 Innovation is only one aspect of greatness... and that they pull together so many fine elements is in itself innovative...to be able to 'do it all' is why 'one of the best active bands' is valid imo...

Toda la banda es un metronomo!

What is Daft Punk ?
How is it possible that these guys are so coordinated and technically perfect, each one of them? It's like listening to a studio record, except for the fact that this is live. I mean, these are among the best instrumentalists around, hands down! More than that they're also prolific musicians, mixing electronic, funk, pop and rock styles. Can you ask for more?
No you can not. Best video on UA-cam!
they are having fun...they are in the zone
A g r e e d
I get the impression when listening to them that they have a clear picture of what they want their 'sound' to be. I think the magic comes in the fact that there's a really strong organic/funky element to the instrumentals, and the composition is on point too, but the textures and production have a really specific and unique character.
Absolutely are !

Amazing glass bottle work!
I came here to agree with this. Oh and he sings...
Looks like the Paul Mac Cartney dude in the band
"Every time the came is on him, he has a different instrument".
I only see keyboard, guitar and... well... bottle. But yeah, I agree. He's probably the most talented in the band.

Hell yeah
Imagine being so skilled that you flawlessly record an entire live album in one day. These guys are massively talented.

Not a moment of my life during the duration of this video was boring. I laughed far too much out of pure joy, i yelled at my computer screen in disbelief, I even let out a single tear of pure happiness.
