The beginning of this episode...."He Who Remains" built in a "fail safe" into the TVA in case of a total meltdown, every TVA agents are automatically resent back to their timeline...hence the "Thank you for your service" on the monitor when it's starting to spaghettify

Here is something funny, the tva are resent to their og timelines, but Sylvie and Loki don't have one, so she should've been with him inside the TVA when it got destroyed, if she wasn’t there, that means that she saw the ligth coming to them and used the Tempad to run while the rest disseapered.

i think the reason why Loki didn't need Victor is because he was 1) Spaghettified. Erased from existence. 2) Not present when the timeline collsapsed.

My theory is: Victor Timely was present with the rest of them. How? Because he is a variant of Kang. Kang's aura was still present all around them because he is still controlling the narrative. Technically, he is the man behind the curtain. And Loki is just figuring out how to change the narrative as The god of Stories.
They didn't need Timely because Timely was pastafied before the explosion. Loki isn't effected because he was pruned from time to stop the uncontrollable time skipping.

It wasn’t that. Loki wasn’t looking for the specific moment but mainly the location, the TVA which just the main cast should have enough of a temporal aura signature to get there. Also when timely was around it was already too late

Loki is now the god of stories, so he can focus on who he wants to see and warp through time to them. Meaning he wanted his friends, so he warped to those who knew him.

It didn’t have to do with the aura of everyone there. Loki controlled his time slipping and went back to the moment he was there with them. He’s going back in his own time, almost like dr. Manhattan, he can’t see all of time, only his own past, present, and future simultaneously.

Exactly. It was a “who” problem, not why, not science, something impossible which means it’s just as possible like OB said. That I think is more of the fiction side of things which I didn’t really enjoy.

Man this is great writing, so the oroburus which is a snake eating its tail, is really Loki and OB. I thought it was Kang and OB. So Loki created the TVA and OB built it. Another great part is that the stories OB wrote were based on Thor and Loki, hence his book the sons of Yoren which is a knodd to the sons of Odin. So Loki is now the God of stories and he controls time. This is why Kang was trying to kill Loki variants because he knew one of his variants will become the God of stories. This is why on the sacred timeline Loki always dies at the hand of Thanos, because Kang alway wanted it that way. This is why Sylvie stated that what if being a loki is that we are destined the lose. This is correct on Kangs sacred timeline, but out side of Kangs manipulation Loki becomes the God of Stories and starts the TVA.

The Temporal Aura thing was about trying to get a map for the TVA. Loki's time slipping was tied to his emotional connections to those people. He doesn't know Victor
Exactly. The reading of temporal aura was a futile attempt at solving this thing with science but you need a fiction approach.

Everybody gets stuck on this. But them being together and using the temporal aura stuff was just a McGuffin. Loki needed to discover how to control his power.
That’s what got him back. Because seriously he already timeslipped back to the tva theater room earlier. He needed to be able to consciously do it on command.
THANK YOU. OB literally said it as he disappeared: "It WAS a fiction problem." It wasn't about the temporal aura process. Getting all his friends together in a room made Loki realize what he was fighting for, and who, and why. The "science problem" was the setup to get to the real story - the fiction.
What I was thinking was OB was talking about when everyone got clapped at the SAME TIME in the SAME ROOM cuz Victor got clapped by himself when he went outside. Everyone else got clapped at once with each other in the same room at the same time. At least that's what I gathered from that part.

I basically consider this episode to be the finale of the season. The core questions and emotional center of the season, and hell the series has been resolved here. Next episode is basically the Epilogue. And I see Loki taking control of the TVA
Y'all, Sylvie already knew about the stuff disappearing around her. That's why she noticed it yet chose to leave it out from Loki. If you go back to the bar scene, you'll notice her look at the table the moment Loki's shot glass disappeared. Yet she chose not to mention it...again. She thought if could just ignore the little things, she could keep surviving. Cuz she's a survivor ever since she was young. It's only until things got intense where she saw someone disappear in front of her when she chose to disclose it to Loki and take it seriously. But she knew the whole time is what I'm saying. You guys should start asking yourselves introspective questions out loud so maybe the other reactors can chime in on what they think. Cuz I think y'all got close to figuring out why Sylvie stayed silent but dropped it.

No, they didn't need him bc Loki didn't ACTUALLY need them. But it was fortunate as he only controlled the time slipping after the absolute despair of watching them disappear. If he hadn't collected them and f. e. had only seen OB disappear, that would have been sad but not enough.
He didn't use them as coordinates, that's why OB said "It is a fiction problem". They treated it like a science problem at first but Loki just needed the right motivation.

This show's production, cinematography and writing is on top! Best thing that happened to MCU. The fact that they didn't do any reshoots in this means that they planned this whole series out. SO SO GOOODD!
From what I understand, the reason they didn't need Timley was because the whole reading temporal auras thing was if they wanted to try and use the tempad to go back. OB was saying that the collective aura could act as a sort of timestamp (or coordinate), for them to travel back to. However, Loki was able to control his timeslipping, making that whole thing unnecessary. However, I think that if they tried to travel with the tempad, they would've shown up after Timely was already dead, since they didn't collect a variant of him to bring to the group. So, since Loki timeslipped, he went back before Timely got swiss-cheesed and he will still be alive. From what they were saying in this episode, when Loki says "it was about who." I think he's basically saying that maybe bringing that group together allowed him to timeslip manually... so he basically got a canonical friends & family powerup 😂😂😂
Actually OB saying "It was a fiction problem" explains your confusion. They theorized that they could read their collective aura and use them as coordinates. But that way they treat it as a science problem. It isn't. It's a fiction problem bc Loki didn't LITERALLY need everyone in one space but bc they were all together he could experience the absolute despair of everyone disappearing which helped him control the time slipping. So that's why they didn't need Victor either, it's a fiction problem.
This is like starting over in a video game with the same characters you spent hours playing because your file got corrupted but than you fine a way to recover your save file

My favorite bit of this episode was them insinuating that Casey was actually Frank Morris, from the real life Alcatraz escape in 1962. Same character that Clint Eastwood played in the 1979 movie Escape From Alcatraz, based on the real story. I thought it was so fucking cool they did that.

They didn't need Victor because Victor, according to the logic of the episode, would have been needed if it were a "science" issue. However, as OB puts it before he fades away "it was a fiction problem", the answer to which Loki says was focusing on the "who".
This episode made me realize that it’s probably the best show I’ve ever watched(my opinion)
Loki didn’t need anybody in that room to go back before the thing exploded, the tempad did, all Loki needed was to acknowledge that his care for his friends was the key to controlling it
Loki is the one show that made me feel the same way I did when I was watching Dark (which is also a story with time-travel/timeline shenanigans).

New Rockstars breakdown theory is that the "Fail Safe Mode" initiated in the TVA is to return the staff into their respective original branches/multiverse when something disastrous like that happens, like a reset. And Sylvie is using He Who Remains tempad, probably the most powerful kind.

They didn’t need Timely because the plan with the pens that OB was explaining was separate from the solution that Loki found because they had initially dismissed the idea of him controlling his time slipping so tracing the temporal aura was irrelevant as soon as the Tempad was gone. Loki just figured out that to control his time slipping he needed to focus on the people he had connections with

Most people gloss over the fact that Loki's reason for wanting TVA back was because he wanted his friends back and as a possible way to fight off Kang if it came to that. Before Sylvie's timeline got destroyed, they didn't know that the loom exploding effected things outside of the tva.
And thus, Loki became a literal god.
Loki’s failed attempt for time slipping was the same way he tried to teleport with the blue infinity stone when he tried to teleport out the TVA on the very first ep
I don't think Loki was ever starting to question whether or not they were in danger, but questioning himself. Deep down, Loki still doesn't think he's a hero. It's why Sylvie's comment about him being selfish knocked him back so much. Of course he is. We're all selfish. It doesn't mean that we still can't do the right thing for the right reasons AND personal ones. Loki basically hit that point in therapy where you learn you haven't come as far as you think you have, hit a low point, then rebounded lol.
What Doug and Loki were working on was him “physically” getting back to ‘a’ version of the TVA that wasn’t spaghet yet.
What Loki’s controlled timeslipping does (so far) is shunt him back to a place/time he had previously been, with that extra knowledge. Effectively a more and less complicated D-mail (no need for a phone, but he had to figure out how to control it before it became “useful,” and the autoslipping let him go forward for _some_ reason).
He didn’t need them to be physically present for it to work, but he did need to _lose_ them to figure out controlling it to _not_ lose them… probably.
No no y’all didn’t pay attention, reason why Loki wasn’t erased to begin was because HIS main verse hadn’t been erased yet(remember that they grabbed him after iron man’s mistake) then the reason why he could jump through time was because he was looking for them. The slip was tracking down their aura at the speed of thought, hence why when he sees someone he immediately thinks I need to find……. And the slip takes him there. This can be seen when he stays a little longer with sylvie. She was gonna explain something and he wanted to stay there. Then the theory that obi had was also right, he can theoretically want to go back to whenever as long as said person or target has their temporal aura locked there. Mf’ker just became op given that he can also slip right into the spot his past self is and not worry about the whole two versions of him fighting for existence thing

Timely wouldn’t have been enough of a motivation for him to be able to control his time slipping. It was about the connections he made with the other characters.

The reason why loki didnt need victor timly is just because , the whole time slipping power is he had from start of the season is because the branches were started to destroy and after that they fixed later he stops time slipping, because there are no branches and he has no timeline was the explaination

And other thing to notice here that how he get that time slipping power , my theory is that from season 1
when loki and slyie meet he who remain on last episode , he who remain knew that silyie is gonna kill him and loki was perfect for everything to control over tva or even saving the people from the greater threat that is kang , and thats why this whole season will be that loki takes control over all timeline and like he who remain he will monitor all the timeline and he will be one of the major charactor in the bigger movies like Deadpool 3 or even the avengers kang dyansty and secret wars , because he know more about time other than anyone in mcu right now , and also other thing that the TVA will not be restore again i think and loki will send his friends to their timeline and just see wheneever he wants because he time slips now , also this whole thing can be connected to deadpool 3 , because loki will let branched timeline happen but he will make sure that no one is messing in those branch timeline , we wil be not like tva where they kill all the branch timeline ,but he will monitor all timwline to make sure everyting is safe , and thats where deadpool 3 comes because deadpool will be travellng all this timeline in the movie and loki will know and we might see loki in that movie .Its a wild theroy but lets see what happens at the last episode ,really exicted about it .

Him being able to control the time slipping I guess is triggered by his loneliness. They were gathered there because they're his friends, and then when he saw them disappear, he got triggered because he lost them, he's alone again, and he doesn't want to be alone anymore, so the will to "I want my friends back" triggered his control of the time slip. That's why they were needed to be gathered, to show him it's all about *who*. It's all about his friends.
Loki gathering his friends reminded me of the disappearance of haruhi suzumiya.

I think y'all was getting confused with OB saying he needed everyone who was there for the tempad to work, not for loki to control his timeslipping. At least that least thats what i got from it.
