How sad. I watched "All That Jazz" when I was much too young to understand it, but I loved watching Ann Reinking dance. What a touching compilation. May she RIP.
I met her back in the 70's when I was an RN and Bob Fosse was a patient and she came to visit him. She was so sweet and kind...I remember that to this day!
That was part of the series about Fosse and Version with same title. Annie was very young at that time. Very young and innocent at that time. She rose to the top because she was also an awesome dancer. She could do that sexy Fosse style so well Plus some had tricks of her own. Annies legs seemed supernatural. She danced along side with all the greats of her time from all over the world. I love her for always. What an accomplishment she achieved in her lifetime. My lifetime. I could only dream of owning such an extraordinary gift. And so I do dream. Thank you Annie for that too. Rest In Peace Exquisite Annie.
She was a magnificent dancer. Her love of dance and choreography is a LOVE to her mind, body and soul. I put her next to Baryshnikov. I have wondered if they ever met. Imagine the dance between the two. I am a dancer and she was a idol. Thank you for showing the world, "The Love of Dance " Truly a picture of beauty. Bob would be so proud. Bless your dancing soul.
🎉OH my Goddess😂!❤ That lady can move! She was like a cross between a leopard and a snake but some sharp edges. 🎉🎉❤❤.She was amazing and one of the best dancers ever!! Talk about poetry in motion! She was the definition of the word! 🎉❤❤❤.We miss you so much! 🎉🎉🎉❤
what a great tribute to an exceptional dancer. wow! i forgot how wonderful she in the movie annie, she truly danced on air. the stuff with her and bebe neuwirth are exceptional and fresh, considering the two followed gwen and chita. a great talent and always lovely. greatly missed. thank you, this is as lovely as she was!
That sweet dance scene in "All That Jazz" that she did with the little girl was my absolute favorite of the entire movie. RIP, a truly great performer.
@@darlahelland2912 That was Erzebet Foldi playing a fictionalized version of Nicole Fossi. Nicole, who wasn't a professional damcer yet, had a small part in the movie as an extra. She did go on to be a Broadway veteran and choreographer. She was choreographer and a producer on FX's FOSSE/VERDON.
My own favorite scene…like Roy Scheider’s Bob Fosse, he couldn’t help but watch with teary eyed appreciation of the performance in that 2-tiered living room.❤
I'm a working class peasant and have never been into this kind of dancing, but when I saw "All That Jazz" Ann Reinking gave me a new appreciation for it.
Awww, she passed? I literally just saw All that Jazz for the first time this past weekend. What an incredible film. She was fantastic. Sorry to hear that she is no longer with us.
This tribute is excellent. Thank you! I used to see Ann and Bebe leave the Golden Gate Theater after the show there. Ann could have been Diana Rigg's daughter.
Thank you Andrew. I absolutely fell in love with Ann when I watched her in All That Jazz recently. She was an amazing dancer and you have captured her talents beautifully. Well done!
Breaks my heart. Such energy, a great outlook on life. I had no idea of her own muscle issues, nor that her son was ill. She just would bring light into a room. RIP, so young and so, so missed.
I can't get enough of this delicious fabulous gifted unique dancing diva divine. What a superb athlete she will always be remembered in my book. I will never tire of watching her head to toe making it look so natural and her strength is nothing of short of supernatural. Those legs are legendary. Awesome goddess of dance. Dancing on the big big time stage now. I miss her. Can you tell Im a fan?
Fosse/Verdon brought me here. I wanted to learn more about Ann Reinking and Bob Fosse. What an amazing dancer! Her legs are ssooo long! This is a lovely tribute. Thank you for sharing.
This is lovely! She was a powerhouse! I saw perform live twice and consider myself very lucky even blessed to be able to say that. I went to see her and Bebe Neuworth when Chicago was brought back to Broadway and what a treat it was!! Also in Pippin . Dance is a beautiful expression of freedom and joy thru our body and soul. Thank You for sharing this and keeping her gift alive for future generations. Forever your fan, Gigi
Thank you for your kind words and sharing your memory of her. I never got to see her in person, but I'm glad her gift still manages to translate through different media platforms.

As a past dancer myself she had the most amazing timing, style. Her moves are sheer perfection.
I am a ski instructor and had Ann for a private lesson. She was very nice and skied quite well. It was a pleasure to be in her company.

That’s wild. She was never a nurse, but in the miniseries, as Fosse’s then girlfriend, she would go visit him in the hospital
Sometimes, God gives us gifts in human form - Ann Reinking was one such glorious gift for all of humanity. RIP Ann - we loved you.
Beautifully said
I believe that what we call "angels" are just human beings sent by God to do his work... It could even be YOU!!
She was everything we wanted to be as dancers in the 70’s and 80’s
Ann = Poetry in perpetual motion= Perfection
