Jam can be made pretty easily by stewing a bunch of fruit and adding 1.5-2x the weight in sugar (this will depend on personal preference and how sweet you like your jam, and how sharp your fruit is). Leave it stew and simmer for ages, skimming air bubbles and scum off the top. To test if it's done, take a spoonful onto a saucer or a small place, and tilt the plate. If the jam is so thick that it wrinkles a little when moved by the tilted plate, it's done 😊 happy jam making!
you can create the life you want outside of the U.S., millions do, if and when you are ready. Maybe start with an exploratory vacation, or simply create the life you want in the U.S. working bit by bit at your own pace to incorporate more kids nonessential for yourself and patience with yourself, and making new friendships with people with shared values. Wishing you a wonderful year. Linda living la vía loca y buena in MExico.
You can find peace like this in the U.S. too. It might be a tad bit harder to find, but those sleepy "drive by" rural towns are lovely places to live. I live in such a place here in the South, and it is great, even though only about an hour over is the bustling city life.
“Where ever you go, there you are.” A much as I want to visit Ireland, I realize that wherever I am it’s important to create a simpler, healthier, more balanced life. It doesn’t just magically exist elsewhere. Thank you, Niamh, for encouraging us and sharing with us.
Hello there! Woke up at 5 am to welcome the day. Said my prayers and watched your video watching you make bread. Remembering its 3 Kings Day I decided I'd make blueberry muffins. The sky is blue and weather crispy cool. My gift on this 12th day of Christmas is puchasing a new lock for front door, and a friend to help me install it. We will tea and muffins together. What a blessed day. May everyone today be especially blessed. Happy Three Kings Day!

This January, Im trying to rest, relax and learn a few new things. Its been a hard year, my third since my husband passed and getting used to doing things alone is hard. But Ive also found solace in being alone and sometimes, when I sit on the porch, I truly believe I hear his voice in the wind telling me Ill be alright. Blessings to you for beautiful videos.
this was deliciously a.s.m.r.-ish , for the eyes , as well as the ears . like a childhood afternoon at my grannys house. envelopingly sensual in it's atmosphere of calm . thankyou for the gentle nostalgia .
Happy New Year! I pray to God to bless every being with peace, calmness and love. May we have better understanding with mother nature and we act respectful towards her. Amen.
I adore Winnie the Pooh with all my heart, it's such a pure and wholesome set of stories that were massively important to me on my childhood 💛❤️💛❤️💛❤️💛❤️
Ahh Sunday morning here , and here you are, beautiful as always. I am now finally living fully, this life you describe for almost a year and a half. I'm 62, it's been a long road. Gratitude is spot on. It is the key to peace, joy, enoughness. I find I'm in this state of gratitude continuously. It's January now, I am learning to paint. Use tutorials from UA-cam, no expensive classes.. Have a beautiful New Year. This video is filled with nuggets of wisdom.❤
Lovely words and images. Winter is meant to be a time for reflection, and a quiet mind can help with that. It is always best to embrace winter, find beauty in its starkness, and give ourselves time to listen to our thoughts, rather than to resist this time of year. I am still learning to do so! Journaling, walks, lots of tea and reading! Cozy blankets and sweaters and “time for yourself”. Thanks for your videos, they are inspiring!
I was totally broke last year and I'm still struggling until this time. Coincidentally found this video, your voice is really soothing, makes my mind calmer and makes me realized that I can't hold everything if I wanna be free, I have to let go yesterday for my own peace. "Everything in our life will be done when it is meant to be done." Thanks a lot! :)
I’m 47 years old. I’m a big Winnie the Pooh fan!! I love this video. I have watched this like 10 times. It relaxes me!! It calms me in my busy day. I’m a teacher, a mother 2 daughters older ones. I divorce women. I forget 2 just sit and listen 2 the birds, the cars and the wind!! I live in United States. Phoenix Arizona.
Your videos are so soothing, I want to live the way you live, so simple. Life isn't about "stuff" and I'm trying to learn that I don't need to buy something new all the time to be happy. We have everything we need, but most of us neglect to see that. You truly inspire me to just slow down and enjoy the little things.
I'll admit that once I found your channel, I've not only found that learning how to use the resources I have to make things instead of buying them to be useful, but that your voice is just so calming. If I'm feeling like life is too noisy, I play these videos and just sit back and breathe. Today, while listening, I watched my cat groom himself in the sunny window in the reflection of the computer screen.
Spring comes early here in southern USA so I spend a lot of rainy days dreaming and planning my garden. Every year I try to provide more of my own food. Thank you for sharing your lovely sustainable sane lifestyle. Peace and Blessings
Welcome back! We missed you. My January as this last December has been spent in a hospital with my beloved husband. And there I’ve been watching an enormous amount of paper and plastic used and discarded, and used and discarded, tons of it in a few minutes, every day. Yet, I don’t know that they could do the amazing job they do in any other way. Lessons of life...
My grandma didn’t make bread but she made biscuits every morning. Watching you sift that flour brought tears to my eyes. Such a simple thing but so beautiful!
You are such a peaceful, lovely and humble person, you are such an inspiration!❤️ Your videos help me calm my anxiety when it gets too much, thank you.🙏🏻
Oohh you make me cry......😭 Watching this video brings back all my childhood memories.... Feels like i'm home... Thank you! 😘😘😘 You're so inspiring! 😍👍
I just got "Winnie the Pooh" as a Christmas present from my boyfriend and since he's been reading it to me and we've been enjoying it a lot and laughing so much. So it was a nice coincidence that you mentioned it in this video. Well done. Very beautiful thoughts you shared!
January to me means we are getting closer to Spring. When I was growing up my grandmother always had the kettle on. Tea is a cure all for everything. Happy New Year!
How I get through January is that I planted snowdrop bulbs a couple years ago and I enjoy going out and looking for them. It brings me so much joy when I find them. January is my birthday month and my mum always told me that snowdrops are my birthday flower - so that is why they are so special to me. They provide a good reason for me to get outside and love around!
I found your channel one day during the summer- all day I had been thinking about making bread. ' I should really go and look for a recipe' was a thought I was having continuously throughout the day. By the evening I was on my UA-cam and your bread video came up onto my feed and I felt this wave of delight. All-day today I have been beating myself up about not going to the second-hand shops yesterday in search of a metal tea strainer. You just used your french press to make tea, something I hadn't even thought of, and it seems like it's exactly what I was supposed to see. All these little things, your impact is small and large all at once. I shall have my first ever zero-waste cuppa with you in mind xxx
I want to thank you for making the background music perceivable but not so loud where it becomes a distraction. I enjoy your content and the messages you convey so well.
I didn’t want this to end. Thank you for another wonderful video, and the great lessons you shared, including those from Pooh. He is one smart bear! I now on the path of learning to put into practice much of what you shared, and most of all, patience, as I learn to enjoy the journey toward getting to where I want to be, instead of focusing solely on the destination. Much love, and I wish you a peaceful and mindful 2020. xoxo
I've been feeling abit down lately...anxious about a health related diagnosis that I'm waiting for, missing my husband who is overseas due to his father's demise, and feeling low about the state of the world. But then I watch your videos. And I smile again. I feel deep gratitude again. I remind myself about my purpose. Thank you. Your videos are part of my selfcare. May you forever be blessed with love, light, peace and joy.
Oh, how I have missed your videos--so glad you're back in 2020. :) I'm going to try to make that bread. You have such a gift through your voice, pictures, and video in bringing tranquility into the world. Thank you!! -Diane
Everything about these voiceover videos is so soothing to all of my senses. It is truly a joy to just listen and take my time figuring out what soothes my soul in my own home, in my own actions, and in my own outlook on life. Thank you.
"There's always enough time, and we are always doing our best with what we know and what we have." No one has ever told me this before. I'm honestly tearing up. Thank you Niamh. If you published a book with all your wisdom I would read it :')
Pooh bear is so wise. Love your quotes. Only those who slow down can actually understand them. Enjoying a slow summer where I am. Reading walking swimming pottering around the house with small to do lists and the cricket on in the background.
Oh my good god! I was just thinking about you and my phone notified that you uploaded a new video! I was like What!!! I’m so happy you are back.happy new year! Ok now i’m going to watch the video😁
I was recently unemployed and felt lost with all the extra time. I was so used to living life in overdrive feeling every minute had to be spent doing something productive. You have taught me that true happiness can come from life's moments when they are savored and we slow down to see and appreciate them. Thank you for sharing your experiences which has helped me find a very happy place in life.
When January rolls around I am outside about as much as I am inside. I love the cold weather! I find that I enjoy a fire in the fireplace, a hot beverage and some warm pie so much more after having been out in the snow and cold for 2 or 3 hours.
I would love to just come spend time with you one day. I feel like it would have retreat-like vibes for me. Like my magical godmother or something. Thank you for always reminding me to slow down in this hectic world. I get super caught up and fall to the "to-do" mindset...and i always realize when ive reflected..my thoughts were running so fast it seemed like i was doing alot but in reality i was stressed, didnt enjoy my day and barely actuallu got anything done
The last scene reminded me of my Irish grandmother from County Cork. She lived upstairs from us and I used to run upstairs as a little kid to see her. She loved to have tea and toast.
You are so lucky to have green in Jan. Here we have snow storms, a consistent blanket of white. In these quiet snowy days past the holiday, I take stock and go inward also. I journal and do all the little things that were put off. I pour through garden catalogs and dream of my garden.
This made me cry (obv the good cry). It was so calming, deep, and meaningful. I came across your channel today and have already watched 6 or 7 of your videos. Please never stop creating.
Happy New Year, Niamh! This is so timely! I was just saying to my best friend that I want to start making my own bread. I have never made bread, so am really looking forward to trying this out. :) Also, it was my dear Nana, who lived with us, who read Winnie the Pooh to me. Kindred spirits abound. Best wishes from Canada. M
Emma MacGregor I love those synchronistic events. Happy bread making. I have a full playlist in the channel of bread. Mostly soda bread. But yeast bread is nice is you have time.
@@FairylandCottage So good to hear from you! It is wonderful to be able to meet across the miles and share good tips that will make everyone's lives better. I have been going through your bread vids, making my grocery list, and will try one out this week and let you know. I look forward to trying the soda bread for my elderly father as we are Irish on his side and I think it will remind him of his Gran. :) Have a grand day!
I've never really had a problem getting through January. I'm grateful & look forward to whatever changes, challenges & opportunities that show up. Your video was lovely, thank you Niamh! :-)
Thanks for the video! I get through January by reading a good book, knitting, walking my dog, cooking comfort food and making the house cozy. I enjoy different things of each season. Thank you for reminding us to stay grateful and enjoy today.
I think the people from the "Calm" App should most definitely contact you. Your voice is sooooooo soothing. You'd do amazing reading audiobooks!

They provide a good reason for me to get outside and love around!
What an absolutely calming, and inspiring, way to begin my day as well as the new decade.
Thank you 💕
I found your channel one day during the summer- all day I had been thinking about making bread.
The addition of Winnie the Pooh was perfect, I could hear his voice in my head. Thank you for making my day and a happy new year!
Much love, and I wish you a peaceful and mindful 2020. xoxo
Thanks again for showing us the way Niamh.... we need your guidance.
Your videos are incredible! I could watch them all day. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom
Awh thanks! That's what I love to hear :-) Thank you for your support and for watching :-)
You’re really starting off this decade with a (calm, slow) bang! This video is amazing!
M Kidd hehehe slow and steady wins the race for sure :-)
Those views of the hills, the sea, the sheep were AMAZING!!
We are delighted that you're back Niamh! Happy New Year! :-D
I live very similar to you. Early morning walks taking in the soft beauty that is perfectly free yet the absolute best to breath in and focus on .

Pippin Poppov the author William Glasser has wonderful things to say in his books. One is called Choice Theory. I learn so much from him.
@@FairylandCottage You're an angel~ Thank you so much! Truthfully I'm starstruck right now and wish I could meet you. Hope you have a lovely week
Am soooo glad your back!
me too! thanks for coming back to watch!
Pooh bear is so wise. Love your quotes. Only those who slow down can actually understand them. Enjoying a slow summer where I am. Reading walking swimming pottering around the house with small to do lists and the cricket on in the background.
Everything takes time and patience, I couldn't agree more. Happy 2020 from Spain. Love your videos !
Thank you for your video and hugs from Ukraine ✨♥️ You make me feel so calm, cozy and comfortable. Looking forward for the next video.

Ok now i’m going to watch the video😁
yippeee! I love when that happens! thanks for your constant support!
Debbie Achatz Debbie thank you for sharing that. You are wise to be able to see that. Most of us don’t see it until it’s too late. x
Thank you, this is exactly what I needed to hear today ☺️
When January rolls around I am outside about as much as I am inside. I love the cold weather! I find that I enjoy a fire in the fireplace, a hot beverage and some warm pie so much more after having been out in the snow and cold for 2 or 3 hours.
Yay!!! You're back . Thank you for your calm and positive content.Happy new year n may God bless you and your family.with love from INDIA 😘😘😘
Ah thanks for the blessings! Happy New Year to you and your loved ones too!!
Love Winne the Pooh stories.
Visited her house in Sawry near
Ambleside. What a beautiful area
of UK. Greetings from Switzerland.
Good to see you again❣
2020's 1st vdo...
good to be back my friend! thanks for staying tuned and watching !
That was just beautiful. A reset button for the time ahead.
I most appreciate that you narrate montages, and do not speak directly into the camera like many vloggers. It’s more inviting.
You are so lucky to have green in Jan. Here we have snow storms, a consistent blanket of white. In these quiet snowy days past the holiday, I take stock and go inward also. I journal and do all the little things that were put off. I pour through garden catalogs and dream of my garden.
Beautiful love you and absolutely ADORE it ♥️
Yippeee! great to hear... thanks so so much :-)
Thank you for the healing time💕💕💕😊🙏🏻
Hi, thank you for this video, I really needed it. My stress levels are high right now, this has helped a little. I need to slow down! Xx ❤️
@Mo ♥
Have a grand day!
I've never really had a problem getting through January. I'm grateful & look forward to whatever changes, challenges & opportunities that show up. Your video was lovely, thank you Niamh! :-)
I miss you. Happy 2020❤️

I don't know how, but your video made me slightly emotional
@Amy ♥
The sweet smell of blooming witch hazel in January really lifts me up. Love from The Netherlands.
my joined 1st favourite youtuber: it’s the norris nuts too. such a contrast!
Another lovely restful video. Gosh, that bread looks good! 😋
This sounds straight out of The Tao of Pooh, AA Milne was a zen master
Cecily Erker he was indeed! My Dad use to read The Tao of Pooh to me when I was little!
I can watch your videos 24x7x365
It brings out a sense of calm from deep within. I didn't know it existed. Thank you.
Please consider doing hypnosis videos. Your voice instantly calms me 🌸
Thanks for the video! I get through January by reading a good book, knitting, walking my dog, cooking comfort food and making the house cozy. I enjoy different things of each season. Thank you for reminding us to stay grateful and enjoy today.
