One thing I always recommend to new players is to set a simple timer for 60 or 90 seconds on their phone to chirp or beep or a noise and at that noise…check your minimap. As the game slows down this habit causes a skyrocket in awareness
Hmm maybe that would help but isn't that annoying if something beeps at You every 60-90 sec ? I was just playing BB's and every shot I waited in zoom in to see my shells land and then zoom out and check minimap because I still had around 15-20 sec left for next reload.
@MrLamzes I guess it could be; I work around servers and trade stocks. Beeps are just a part of my life. An interactive definable chime doesn’t really annoy me and it’s not something to do for long. Just a simple step like using a metronome with music. Does that get annoying for musicians? Maybe…do you always use it? And you’re quite welcome. Good content man
@MrLamzes You know, that's a good point. That would also work with submarines, I guess. Those two classes of the 5 have a lot of down time. Destroyers don't get 15 seconds between shots, cruisers...? CV's get a good bit of time to driving their detachable weapons around the the map. I came into the game as a DD player...so my view often comes from there without a lot of reflection on the other classes. On a tangent note...wouldn't it be great to have a bizarro world event where other ships could get an air drop like in arms race...where they could have a detachable weapon to do to CV's what they do to everyone else....of course this wouldn't ever happen. There is no consideration on how the person affected by a ship feels...just how the person captaining a ship feels at the time of its inception...except for CV players for some strange reason. A very myopic view...really.
@@robertclemmons1666 WG is doing shitty job in incentivising good play and punishing bad play. Something as simple as 500000 credits penality if You go AFK or die in first 5 min of the game , or 50% bonus credits for #1 player in the team (lose or win) would go far but it's beyond WG ability. No punishemnt for noobs/idiots no reward for playing teamplay or just good. I'm not even starting about balancing and match maker which just suck balls.
Nice Guide. The things I heard are defently important. Though I am probably not the target audience with 12712 Games @ 61.81% (EU: Themisto97) ^c^ I would add to the Priority Information List at 18:00. Does the enemy have a special Emblem as their Insignia? Usually the ones with tir 3 or 4 Emblems are above average. So it can be assumed that this ship is a higher thread then normal.
From my experience those insignias are hmmm ... insignificant, after some time everyone can get almost all of them. 61.81% it's great winrate my persnal best was just under 61% and last 2 years is dropping slowly but surelly 😌probably because i have a lot of breaks from the game and lost consistency.
Everyone can surely get the win X times and be at the top of your team. Dealing X amount of damage is much though harder. I would say those with tier 3 or 4 of this type are above average. My win rate is also dropping a lot. I am only at 57.2% (787 Games) in the last 180 days (RIP). My peak was at 63.2% six years ago when they removed the RTS CVs. I really liked (broken) CVs back then. For example, my win rate with the Shokaku was 80% over 90 games (of which 72 games were solo at 82%). After the removal, I stopped playing WoWs very often. Currently I played this number of games: 2010 CV at 68,16% 3534 CL/CA at 61,15% 4724 DD at 58,72% 1712 BB at 61,68% 62 SS at 58,06%
@@larsn97 Man You are abusing CV's being OP and You boost Your stats with CV's winrate and damage. I don't aprove this kind of play, if everyone was like me we would have no stupid CV's and Submarines in this game. P.S. It's so easy to do 100k in CV when You are litterally untouchable and You can deal damage to anything on the map without RNG no matter if You are 30 km away behind island. Try to do it in a ship that can be deleted at any point without ability to hide underwater (sub) or behind island (CV)
@MrLamzes Are you talking about the “new” CVs or the old RTSs CVs? Since this makes a big difference. In total I have just 167 Games in the new CVs and 62 Games in Subs. Together it is about 1,8% of all the games I played (12762). Furthermore I was not quite good in this compaird to my other class. For example my Avg Damage in subs is 33k vs 56k Overall. So I do not see how this would boost my stats. If you are talking about the RTSs CVs six years ago. Sure I played them as much as DDs and CL/CAs. And being a Super Unicum was quite fun. CVs back then were too strong but you could counter them. Def AA was scary (since your dropping pattern got way worse), AA was in general much stronger, you could deplane permanently if you lost all your squadrons 2 or 3 times and you could get sniped by CVs in one go, … . The problem was that the skill selling was too high and they qere quite difficult to learn. When a CV was better then it opponent he could defend his team and hurt the enemy.
