    One of my favorite perch destination on Lake Erie in Ohio is South Pass.. big perch have made a "home" down near sunken trucks, snowmobiles, etc...doesn't take long to land enough big ones..can't wait for spring..its always fun. Great video, Ivo!! :)

    I think I might have to pick up a few of these for fishing Lake Erie for Perch. Have you ever thought of doing these rigs with a big of a fly on the hooks? Perch kill those on Erie. But I like these have 8 lb line & swivel around without tangles. Most of the fly ones can get twisted around the line.

    • @thundermistlures
      @thundermistlures  7 років тому +1

      Points are good and so are weeds....weeds are a higher percentage option - look for green healthy weeds as they will give off plenty of oxygen. Also, look for s=chools of bait fish....for example on deep water lakes, they will be where the bait fish are :)

    I hear when you fish you need to observe silence in order not to scare fish away. At the same time you're fishing here rather nicely and talking out loud. So is it a myth that you can scare fish away talking?

    • @fishfeverwithjoshtaylor3904
      @fishfeverwithjoshtaylor3904 7 років тому +2

      Anastasia Chumakova it's not really a Yes/No answer. It's more species of fish and type of conditions that will determine that. For example Carp feeding in very shallow clear water could be scared very easily by human voices. However if you are trolling Lake Trout at 100ft deep you can make as much noise as you want.

      my experience has been you can be as loud as you want for the most part. Fish will react more to vibration from the boat or whatever it may be.

      @@fishfeverwithjoshtaylor3904 fish do not hear. They feel vibrations so talking isn't really a problem. Noise along a bank or banging in boat will spook them since that causes vibrations through the water

      easiest way is with a dip net or there are also minnow traps you can bait and leave out overnight in the water :)
