R.I.P to both Mike Campbell (Guitar) and Fred McFarlane (Keyboards) who played on this classic track. Both of these great musicians are no longer with us but they left a legacy of great music for us to jam to and this song is one of them!
I was born in 99 but my dad, uncles, aunts, and cousins always played these classics at home, and our family reunions, so songs like this, are in my blood stream!
This will forever be the jam. The last song before the party ends. The first song to get the party started. The in-between song to keep the party poppin.....this will always be one of my favorite party songs!!!!
Born in 1986 but thanks to 98.7 KISS FM(NYC) ,my parents showed me what good music is .I love all genres of music but I always find myself playing 80's mixes .I found this song on here last year and til this day it puts a smile on my face everytime I hear it !!
+NedaBoo i was born in 1993 but grew up with my father always playing this music in his car and at home,kids/teenagers today don't seem to have had the same experience and listen to everything on modern radio stations and will never know this sort of music. shame really :(
Driving from Philly to New Haven Connecticut and came across a new throw back station 94.5 FM in New Haven... and they played this jam! .I have not heard this in years. I pulled over U Tubed it and played it 15 times!. The baseline is solid!
The first time I ever this in 1987 totally blew me away. I looked everywhere for the 12 inch single and bought it. Over thirty years on I still have it
One of my favorite songs in the world!!!! This is skating music!!! I fell in love with this song in the summer of 1983!!! I was 10 years old and can still remember hearing this song playing out of my uncle Joey's Cadillac!!!! So many memories!!!! Harlem Stand Up!!!!
Oh my god. This is probably my most favourite song of all time. It brings back memories of the Star Bar in San Antonio, Ibiza, losing myself in the music, dancing till my feet nearly fell off and playing this on the Coach on the way to the airport with the whole coach rocking. There will never ever be an era in music as good as this. Up the 80's. Make sure you educate your kids who listen to hip hop, house, r & b, rap and such that this is where it all started...and it will never be repeated...
Brought back memories at NC A&T Gym Jam around 92 when the dj spinned this on right before Maze’s Joy and Pain, lil ol school mix for us youngins, and we danced like it was hip hop!
One of my absolute favourites from the 80's. I saw the Fatback Band perform this live at Barry Island in Wales in 1986 - absolutely brilliant. Still got the 12" vinyl somewhere in my collection.
Respect to to Tony Blackburn and (the late great) Steve Walsh and the BBC Radio London Crew for bring Fatback to the Hammersmith Odeon twice. What a great couple of nights. Respect to everyone who looked at this as the "Anthem".
Such a happy song. Makes me dance and sing. Takes me back to the 80s living with my nan in Kent. Disco night's Friday and Saturday at The Avenue in Gillingham. This was their anthem. It got everyone on the floor to boogie the night away. Very happy memories 😍
So funny, but yet so nice that we're returning to what is bouncy, happy, funky, and positive... in the midst of pandemic chaos! We want to thrive as we survive...goin' bak 2 that good thing as individuals we can say, "I Found Lovin'!" 👏😁 💞💞💞
I was on the dance floor every time this came on....and I still dance to it when I hear it. Wish we could have some more 70s and 80s nights in London and elsewhere.
Easily one of my favorite songs ever. It makes me feel young, free and happy. There are so few songs that have that affect on me. I smile and sing along every time I hear it. I'm 12 years old when this song plays. With no bills, 100 pounds in skin-tight Lee jeans, Energy out the wazoo, in my happiest place--my great grandmother's house in Charleston, S.C Wow!!! That's a lot of responsibility for a song, but this seems to always rise to it. Ha, ha.

Oh my god... The Star Bar in Ibiza... They certainly don't make music like this anymore. Remember carrying my boombox on the coach to the hotel playing this song, and everyone dancing in the ailes. Brilliant...
First of all i must thank you for posting and sharing an absolute timeless tune.....many formations back in the 80s......as soon as you heard this tune in the club way back then you were straight up on your feet heading for the dance floor to get your groove on......believe you me this brought so many happy memories for our generation...... I FOUND LOVING....definitely one for the soul house of FAME in my books......SINCE I FOUND YOU......great lyrics and tune to go with all the soul nation.....thanks again for keeping the old School TUNES alive......i truly salute you.....PEACE.

great song in an era of new beginnings, the 60's were the generation of everything hopelessness, reminiscence, peace, and love, the 70' found its voice in love, triumph, and celebration. The 80's followed them up epitomizing all three in great partying music. Loved the Fatback Band girls I love girls
