  • We finally did it!
For several years now we have been saying we need to get up to Voyageurs, and it was time to make it happen. We had no expectations or plans aside from reaching our site and taking it all in. While the paddle out was tough, our time at camp was spent relaxing and refreshing. The wildlife here is unmatched. We saw: Otters, Beavers, Eagles, Ospreys, Ducks, Geese, and so much more. This park was unlike any other parks we have visited, but it provides a unique experience I'm not sure you can have anywhere else. Campsites are private, sometimes remote. You can certainly escape civilization for a while here. Oh, and staring out across the water into Canada is pretty cool too.
    The Paddle:
    Rainy Lake paddlers route
    ~10 mi
    ~6 hours one way
    Sites:
    Jack Pine Bench Campsite R55
    Dove Bay East Campsite R111
