as a little side note, the "demon eye" was originally the mana crystal that saved his life, but it got smaller as the amount of ambrosia it produced for him ran out. its been a little bit sense i read volume 1, but yeah, it's a little detail they don't mention in the show. Also, whenever season 2 finishes, i would recommend taking a look at Shea's or Yue's abilities since it's outright stated by Hajime himself that Shea (Yue being obviously better at magic whilst Shea is the muscle), is capable of being stronger than him, even with limit break at that point in time (by the end of season 2).
yep, by the time they reached the end of season one, In the novels its the end of volume 4 of the light novel, he only had if I remember right 11 vials of Ambrosia left. they used 2 in the laberanth, one for the captain that trained them (I always forget his name) and one for Suzu (to remove the petrifaction of her legs. and then again used up 2 more in the volcano fight. and again in a boss fight later. by the fight with Noint hes down to 5. though by this point he no longer needs them because Kaori becomes a healing goddis.............. then .......... well youll find out, and ima gona be pissed if they cut ANY part of Duskua's ( cant spell his name right) well deserved......................... end..............

@@Watcherofprovidence True, If anything else his skills keep on adding up. I haven't read far into the after stories section. But from that point his just improving his tech / magic skills. Since at one point he manages to convert electricity into magic. Which allows him, and others to go back to the other world more times within a single year. Here is some fun fact about hajime's potential, his strongest power is acually his preception skill and creation ability, when he is fighting he will always analyse information he gain with all his sense and think a plan to win, which mean he is like playing fps and chess in the same time and he is still reacting faster than any people around him,he also have ability to create whatever he want as long as he have the idea, just like in the after story he can even create thing from sci fi story like a gundam or a game device from SAO,in the future story he is literally a god of creation.
Note that him being a god is limited to the most recent arc of the after story, the Onmyouji arc (Kousuke Arc 3). Due to replanting Earth’s world tree branch, he was able to control all the willpower energy of the planet himself, funneling it to his followers, just like a god.

I completely understand, but I think it's because the kingdom already had several of those who already had a lifetime of experience. It wasn't until Hajime gained ore appraisal that he really outclassed every master craftsman in the kingdom.
He’s far, far more powerful that anyone gives him credit for, and for a particular reason. SEASON 2 SPOILERS. It’s because the Orcus labyrinth was intended to be cleared last. Both the Guren and Meluse labyrinths were called “easy” by the group in terms of combat prowess. Meluse’s trial, as well as Haltina, Schnee, and Barn’s, are more mentally focused (though no less challenging).
Read the LN, I don’t think that’s true *spoilers Haltina tree final boss is way harder than orcus hydra, plus it had hella requirements to even enter. Did orcus have that too?
@@padzman91 the first 100 floors of Orcus were the prerequisite. As for Haltina’s final trial, there was only the moment right before the final attack where Hajime and his party were at any significant risk of death. Assuming you complete the labyrinths that don’t require prerequisites (excluding Orcus), you should have everything needed to counter that fight.
*Spoilers Well, we never did get to see the entrance to the True Orcus levels, maybe it really was the last labyrinth with 6 requirements instead of 4(Haltina). but judging from the speeches made by orcus and Haltina, it felt like Haltina was last. *Hajime would've definitely lost to Haltina without creation magic, if it was Yue+HJM first labyrinth, they would've been screwed even with almost infinite elixirs

@@hikaru._.4284 i use gogo with like 3 ad and pop up blockers installed. And id Seriously recommend just reading from book one chapter one. There is literally that much content that has been cut out. It would take a flow blown essay to explain what they cut! I will say this if they plan to have a season 3 after the battle with Noint, They're going to have to retcon the shit out of a couple of things they cut out during season one. Because they cut out almost the entirety of the verb garden introduction arc Because they cut the whole thing down to a series of stills lasting only about 5 seconds And there are important characters he meets in the novel that come up again by novel 7. In addition to that there is a merchant he becomes friends with that helps hodgma's party again in the future. Some people are going to be hella confused how these brand new characters show up and anime and act all buddy buddy with him without knowing who the hell he is or they are.
it's a trash isekai pile. it's still good as an anime. they can t put that much information in episodes like in the novels so yea whatever we get the idea
@@draconiceternity I'm not saying they have to put everything from the novels in the show verbatim. but context is king. there are Critical elements of the books they left out of the anime that really made it such a subpar show. elements that should have never been cut. Yue and Hajime's bonding scene in the labyrinth before the hydra fight being one. The entirety of the Verbgarden arc (that will come back to bite them if they do make a season 3) and the Critically important (ONE PARAGRAPH LONG) "duel" between Hajime and Kouki. and while I understand time and episode constricts. rushing through 4 light novels worth of content to make 12 episodes (episode 5 was a recap and doesn't count as 13) really was detrimental to the whole project. having Hajimes "adventures" between leaving the second labyrinth and reuniting with his teacher and taking on the 10,000 monster army would have been much more entertaining then just showing him slaughter everything with an Angst attitude. Imagine Shield hero getting that kind of treatment. just rushing from action scene to action scene and never giving ANY character development time to Raphtialia and Filo. or even Melty............. just action clips and "being a jerk" scenes........
I love this show, thanks for bringing attention to it. I hope you will create more videos for Arifureta as it's not so popular in the US but very popular in Japan thus the second season.

Considering spoilers are rampant here, can I finally talk about how AMAZING the afterstory of this series is? The series as a whole was great, but the shenanigans of the afterstory is something else...
I actually didn't like Rimiru's growth. All he did was eat his enemies and let his Great Sage ability do everything. Hajime in the LN worked hard and had to think and create a lot to get to the point he is.
@ that’s not what I meant, rimuri isn’t interesting because they gain power and can break their limits, rimuri is a good character because of what they do, unlike hajime who is mostly about clearing the dungeons and getting the ancient magic.
Can't wait for the weapons video, as well as the ancient magic video(how you explain regular magic as well), cause once those are made it'll be much clearer whether or not we should see him as a rival for rimuru for the spot of strongest isekai protagonist. Also hope we get videos explaining how strong each member of his harem is. 😉👍

I would love if you also pointed out some stuff about how op his companions are as well. Tio outright states in the last light novel that Shia is the most broken after Hajime himself.

@@rampantcoyote3136 it is good and shows exactly how bs op hajime can become, my favourite part is in the ice labrinth where he fights himself and picks apart the flaws in his own fighting style to defeat it through brute force when it's supposed to be a trial of the mind
It all depends on when Hajime and Rimiru meet... I would say that Hajime and Rimiru would be quite a strong match, but once Rimiru went Demon Lord and after he basically goes Further than that.. Even the End LN of Hajime would likely be unable to handle a 1 v 1 fight. What really makes Hajime his strongest is YUE.. and without Her.. he is incomplete.
This Hajime is at his peak when fighting together with Yue. Without that advantage Rimurus skills are simply more OP. Although Hajimes arsenal by the end can really pack a punch.
Well there is a fundamental difference between both, if one becomes an enemy of hajime, its practically a death sentence... No hesitation or holding back whatsoever. But i doubt Rimuru would be able to be like that. But in terms or skills and versatility, Rimuru has the upper hand. But considering how far hajime goes when it comes to survive and kill (according to light and web novel) those tactics might open a few fatal openings. Rimuru almost never had been in life threatening situations while for hajime its a lot more.... Those could change the tide of battle. Still no one would know unless they both fight haha.
@@Shinekage True... but its realy power comes from the fact that his opponents do not understand or recognize the weapons. Rimuru would and because of that, using his speed of thought from Raphael.. be able to device a way to survive attacks. The biggest issues with Hajime is that like Hajime.. Rimuru is practically immune to most magical and elemental effects that could pose dangers.
@@Duskrequim on that last note, hajime its mostly physical... Its yue who handles the magical attack front... I think it'll be more like rimuru vs milim but a bit on the ranged front.
You forgot to mention his skill in bed ;) Also even if he gains every skill of every monster and labyrinth he still wouldn't be as strong as Rimuru. Rimuru is just a cheat all together.
yeah one can regenerate at tremendous speeds and the other one cant. also rimuru has the ultimate skill beezlebuth which can devour the bullets easily while flying at him because it ignores time and space.
@@sippxleanz747 Agreed, even post story Hajime who completes that perpetual motion machine and can turn any type of energy into magic power doesn't stand a smidge of a chance against end story Rimuru who becomes a literal god that can control space-time at will.
Love the video, and I hope to see more Arifureta stuff, as it's my favorite series. There's somethign about it that's just so... fun. A small note at 6:12. Magic in Arifureta is split into two parts: Magic circles, which define the spell to be cast; and chants, which channel mana into the magic circle. Mana manipulation allows Hajime channel mana freely/use magic without chanting, but he still needs the magic circles (LN brings up that he has transmutation circles sewn into his clothes). It isn't until volume 11 that he gains the ability to transmute without magic circles (though I'm pretty sure he still needs them for any other kind of spell). Edit: This does not apply to any of his skills tied to monster biology, only to formal human magic.
He grew so fast because of the ambrosia. That and the monster meat which was only edible because of the elixir. A common theme in all of the isekai is that the closer to death the faster you grow. He was able to push that limit harder than anyone because he had a super healing potion. The desperation and protection gave him the best advantage. Then once he was powerful enough his power was limited only by his ingenuity. This is a good video because I didn't think about the appraisal skill. It explains why he was able to realize the potential of things like blast rock.

So happy to see you closing in on that 500k subs my dude. Literally the best provider of anime-related content around, more growth to you!
I honestly can't believe your not over a million yet.
as a little side note, the "demon eye" was originally the mana crystal that saved his life, but it got smaller as the amount of ambrosia it produced for him ran out. its been a little bit sense i read volume 1, but yeah, it's a little detail they don't mention in the show.

True,
If anything else his skills keep on adding up.
I haven't read far into the after stories section.
But from that point his just improving his tech / magic skills. Since at one point he manages to convert electricity into magic. Which allows him, and others to go back to the other world more times within a single year. Since travelling to different worlds takes a lot of magic.
I should really find time to read this.

I love these sorts of analysis videos so damn much!

I absolutely love Arifureta, but I hate that not a single student in Hajime's class could see the potential of a master magical craftsman.
I completely understand, but I think it's because the kingdom already had several of those who already had a lifetime of experience. It wasn't until Hajime gained ore appraisal that he really outclassed every master craftsman in the kingdom.
@@olandir
That's true.
Read the LN, I don’t think that’s true
*spoilers
Haltina tree final boss is way harder than orcus hydra, plus it had hella requirements to even enter.
*Spoilers
Well, we never did get to see the entrance to the True Orcus levels, maybe it really was the last labyrinth with 6 requirements instead of 4(Haltina). but judging from the speeches made by orcus and Haltina, it felt like Haltina was last.
*Hajime would've definitely lost to Haltina without creation magic, if it was Yue+HJM first labyrinth, they would've been screwed even with almost infinite elixirs
I liked it twice so you know the dislike was a mistake
I mean anything but insta death can be overcome with enough healing pots.
Fastest rate of growth from any isekai protagonists we seen so far ainz went from normal human to death god lol
Even if he's that strong compared to other heroes, he's still struggling to win against Freed and other big enemies in the future(Especially the angel in the trailer). It just shows how hard that world really is. And I really like that part of the story.
In Manga he hid his real powers ranked as blue tier, when his true strength is ranked Gold, although they didn't go into that much detail in the first season. & for some reason in The Anime the power system keeps switching between colors & numbers.
actually he got promoted to gold by the end of season 1. When he met the guild master, in which place he met Endo pleading for his help to make up for Hero Kouki's faults, Hajime gave a letter from Fuhren's guild master that impllies to offer his help to Hajime and support his ascension to gold rank. At least that's what I remember.
@@thehollynugget343he was promoted to gold after rescuing Will Cudeta and bringing him back to Fuhren. He used his status as a gold-ranked adventurer in saving Myu. Basically he asked a random adventurer to send to Ilwa, the guild branch chief, a device that records what Hajime is currently doing.
Hey can you start doing recaps for series such as this? Because, to be completely honest, I remember almost nothing about this series and don't really have time to rewatch it before the new season begins airing.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who would appreciate it. But you can make whatever kind of content you want though, it is your channel.
I will say this now and I will stand by it later. I feel like alot of people miss out on alot of world building and lore by missing your videos. I wanna say thanks again for making content, not just about anime but Coincidentally about some of my favorite anime.
I'm glad your coming back around to making these videos about Arifureta. I was sad after you only did the one back 2 years ago. Ive since read ALL the light novels and hate just how badly the anime cuts out the content and explanations as to just WHY hes so strong. most people are anime only and thus, only see another isekai trash pile :( This is an amazing series!
Bro I got into reading ln’s recently from mushoku tensei can you tell let the sight you use for arifureta an I’m on szn 1 ep. 7 can you tell what the anime is missing up till that point cause tbvh imma start where I left off instead of the beginning

CONGRATS FOR 500K
i just finished arifureta on friday and i have to say-- I enjoyed the ride. Can't wait for season 2 and can't wait for more of your content to come out AniNews !!!
Gratz on 500k bro. You well deserve it. Thanks for all your efforts!
Good to see this series still getting recognized.
But hajime first job is pretty usefull in my opinion, he can protect himself with his main ability while the weapon deal all the damaged to the enemy...so when his classmate say his ability is useless then they were wrong from the start(just my opinion)🙌😇😅🙏
And he also ate the monster that can gain the skill they use to attack in hajime body the downside is you have to eat there meat and i can tell their meat are not so good
That is why Hajime is one of the strongest and the only human in that world, it all started from his not so good skill then he became op🔥
Grats on the accomplishment of 500k subscribers. I remember watching your Fate videos way back in the day, then your Overlord vids. You have come so far 🎉
Looks like you got to 500k in the meantime, congratulations!
Considering spoilers are rampant here, can I finally talk about how AMAZING the afterstory of this series is? The series as a whole was great, but the shenanigans of the afterstory is something else...
you get a salmon sandwich for that
It's so much longer than the actual story too, at this point the main story is just a single arc.
Yes... Especially if its Kouki or Endou arc
Especially endou arc... That was a fun read
Hell yeah, more arifureta. I have watched your old arifureta videos several times
I actually didn't like Rimiru's growth. All he did was eat his enemies and let his Great Sage ability do everything. Hajime in the LN worked hard and had to think and create a lot to get to the point he is.
Hajime was forced grow desperate and struggled
Rimuri isn’t about his growth though, it’s not like he wants power
@ that’s not what I meant, rimuri isn’t interesting because they gain power and can break their limits, rimuri is a good character because of what they do, unlike hajime who is mostly about clearing the dungeons and getting the ancient magic.
I've just got to say, your videos are awesome and you're doing great work! It really helps me appreciate the anime even more!
Can't wait for the weapons video, as well as the ancient magic video(how you explain regular magic as well), cause once those are made it'll be much clearer whether or not we should see him as a rival for rimuru for the spot of strongest isekai protagonist.

This is why you are the best youtuber who would be the hero of any isekai that does the job right.

grats man hitting 500k, keep up the great work
It all depends on when Hajime and Rimiru meet...
@@lazzoleon9150 Correct. It just depends on what stage of the LN Rimuru is at. Later Novels Rimuru is basically a God
@@Shinekage True... but its realy power comes from the fact that his opponents do not understand or recognize the weapons. Rimuru is practically immune to most magical and elemental effects that could pose dangers.
@@Duskrequim on that last note, hajime its mostly physical... Its yue who handles the magical attack front... I think it'll be more like rimuru vs milim but a bit on the ranged front.

Suprised you covered this. Came here for Overlord, but Arif is great as well.
