I love how we're already given the hint that the witch factor's aren't going to be playing nice, I think I remember hearing about how in arc 6 or 7 Subaru was meant to die at some point so rbd tried activating, but the dragons blood wouldn't allow that to happen.
Having read the novel, this episode's deviation was quite a suprise to me. In the novel, Subaru doesn't wake up on the streets but back at their base instead, Priscilla first shows up later. They also skipped Scarf, something I am very suprised they did with Anastasia. The thing about Subaru walking around to the camps was with Al and Garfiel instead. I knew they changed a lot of content, but I feel like they still keep the important parts and continuity pretty well
Eh the anime isn't changing anything, it's just following the LN which is the canon material. The novel u read is probably the WN though yeah the important plot points will still remain so no need to worry
@@RandomCultist Still wonder why they didn't reveal scarf-chidna. That seems like a pretty big plot point to have an artificial spirit named Echidna and have it skipped, especially as she first asked if Beatrice was one, and it being a demand from gluttony
By the way, I heard fans in japan were angry we got some of Al's backstory from the Break time re zero mini-sodes, was that in the light novel but cut from the anime?
I feel that Subaru will in the future have crazy regeneration that will heal any wound that would be fatal and that would prevent him from using return by death and it will probably cause him to not being able to change anything if he can’t die
@AniNews I just watched episode 57 with Subaru making his broadcast. Please explain to me how he did not just set himself up to be forgotten by everybody and having an instant loss to the Sin Arch Bishop of Gluttony? He announced his full name to the entire city. There's no way he didn't just give it to Gluttony as well.
The one thing I'm sad got cut was Subaru pointing to Julius and calling him out when he talked about knights wanting to look cool. He commented on Julius' "finest of knights", saying Julius wanted to be cooler than anyone else, to which he didn't disagree with
@@RandomCultist So it regenerated the bandage as well as the shoe too? This is what makes it look like an oversight to me which is rather uncharacteristic for this anime so far.
@@malthus986 Yeah that didn't make any sense to me either, most likely either Tappie or White Fox messed up. But as a novel reader I can guarantee u that it was indeed a regeneration and not reattachment
WHAT was Subaru about to ask Priscilla before Liliana interrupted?! It's like she KNEW what he was going to ask an intentionally stopped it. These two know more than they let on, at LEAST Priscilla does.
Could someone explain a few things to me because I didn't fully understand it: 1. Why did the dragon help Subaru and Crush? Shouldn't he be on the capella side? 2. Was the dragon a human who lost to dragon's blood? 3. How did they get Crush back and what happened to the dragon? 4. Which curses were fighting to take over subaru? Dragon's blood and Return by death or Beast curse from season 1 (after the dog bite Subaru's hand) or The Authority of Sloth? If any of the answers contain a spoiler that will appear in the future, I would appreciate a warning! Thanks a lot!
This episode gave me everything I could have wanted to show people how right I was about things since 2016. And yeah I'd already read the version of this speech in the LN's but... I'd tried to explain to everyone that the 'reason' why 'all' the knights were angry with Subaru was more than just being insulted that some commoner was using their titles. And it goes to what the codes of chivalry are. Subaru didn't know at all that walking up, insulting the wise men and the nation itself is practically a death sentence, he'd not have spoken if he did as at the time he was pretty much a coward. But no one knows that. All they saw was a regular man walk up and insult people who were attacking and belittling a woman. Now the codes of chivalry are very complex and difficult explain in detail, but in very very basic version, if you feel in your gut that there's something that you 'know' you should do, then that's what you should do regardless of whether or not you'll get in trouble for it, 'because it's the right thing to do'. What the Wise Men did to Emilia was wrong both as leaders and as people, they insulted and demeaned someone the Dragon had chosen as a potential candidate, that's insulting the Dragon and that's the single biggest insult in Lagunica if you take what Roswaal said about using the Dragon as an oath. They also ganged up on her, and that's wrong as men. Why am I bringing all this up? Well the codes of chivalry 'demand' that in either of those instances - let alone both - the Knight is meant to step in and defuse the situation, defend the weaker party and prevent things from getting worse. And not a single knight did. They had reasons for it "Emilia is half elf" "I am a knight for this candidate/that candidate." "I would lose my title and become destitute." but each and every single one of those reasons aren't important if you 'say' you follow the codes of being a Knight and being chivalrous. Then Subaru comes along, acts like a big man to try and impress Emilia all the while doing both of these things to protect her without any care for how he looks or how it'll effect him, because he cares about Emilia and wants to protect her. That's - to the knights - the single most Knightly thing he could ever have done and he isn't like them. Why do you think that Julius fought Subaru and beat him 'so' badly? he's not Subaru's ally, or friend at this time, he doesn't know him, but he both got punished for that action and satisfied the law in punishing Subaru, but why would he do that? Because Julius is the single most chivalrous knight in the kingdom and knew that everything Subaru did was what he should've done. Same thing with Reinhard, he wanted to help Subaru after it because of how much more impressed he was by what Subaru did. Now that I've got all that out of the way, let's get to this episodes culmination. Subaru stood up to Anastasia and told her that he's not going to allow people to be sacrificed for their sake, and she tries to insult him for it, brings up the White Whale and he counters perfectly with the logic that those people chose to fight, to risk their lives, but the people of Pristella didn't choose to have their city be the battlegrounds for this war, and asking them to risk their lives and die is the single last thing anyone should 'want' to do. Anastasia here is showing just how bad of a ruler she'd be as she's focused entirely too much on numbers and missing these are people. Subaru states everything perfectly, and challenges Julius to this, demanding him to agree - because know Subaru knows something about knighthood, and he'll demand the most from those who use the title 'best of knights' who doesn't argue. He's pretty much insulted Julius here by making it a public statement as well, that's part of the bluntness of Subaru and I love this part for how well it was done.
Yep you explained it beautifully. Another example of this was when Subaru was the only one who lost his cool to Heinkel's unwanted intrusion and Julius later thanked him for it as Subaru was again able to do something which Julius should have done being the 'Finest of Knights'.
I think it was way too fast! The part where they showed the curses fighting, I know they have a ton to get in there, but I had NO idea what was going on and several reactors I watched didn't either.
I was wondering. What if the healing power of the dragon blood was applied to Subaru's whole body like Crusch? Would that sort of negate Subaru's return by death because he can't die through conventional means?
@@RandomCultist He probably means Subaru absorbing the cursed similarly to Crusch, like when she poured it on her face and stuff, he doesn’t mean the regen ability itself.
Question. Can Capella change herself down to her cells? If no, then Subaru and Crusch received the same dragon blood. If that is the case, then Crusch PROBABLY received some regenerative ability, like Subaru's leg. If she didn't receive the regenerative ability, then it's probably because it was applied on her skin and didn't get in her body unlike Subaru who had it poured on what remained of his leg at that time. Now my original question is, what if the dragon's blood was applied to Subaru's whole body? What if that same regenerative ability of his leg was applied to his whole body? Would it somehow counter Return by Death since he can't die through conventional means?
@@PGray05Subaru can only Regen cause the mabeast curse and the dragon blood curse couldn’t overpower each other their clash caused a reverse effect where the place it contacted healed See it as the reverse cursed technique in JJK 2 negatives make a positive And your original question It’s kinda a spoiler but all i say it can to an extent stop Subaru from dying since he lost a limb in a future arc but it regrew, but there is a catch since the dragon blood was gone after he regrew that limb again. (Btw it’s not confirmed it’s gone since the curse is still in him but Subaru peeled the dragon skin off his limb when it regrew)
@@malthus986It’s either a oversight (tho the author did not mention anything about it when he was posting live tweets) Or it has to do with Capela’s authority like how her clothes changed when she transformed

I love how we're already given the hint that the witch factor's aren't going to be playing nice, I think I remember hearing about how in arc 6 or 7 Subaru was meant to die at some point so rbd tried activating, but the dragons blood wouldn't allow that to happen.
That’s arc 7 definitely. I won’t spoil anymore though
There’s also a moment in arc 7 that involves return by death that’s arguably the best part of the arc.
@@N120Xeno 10 seconds of despair?
This season has been crazy
I've been enjoying listening to your videos and it has given me so much more deep understanding of the series

does that make al subaru's archer
Thank you!
I’m hoping they show the scarf very soon because I was really waiting for that reveal lol
@@RandomCultist Still wonder why they didn't reveal scarf-chidna. That seems like a pretty big plot point to have an artificial spirit named Echidna and have it skipped, especially as she first asked if Beatrice was one, and it being a demand from gluttony
@@w1nther930 it's gonna be reveal at the end of the arc. that's when the LN scarfdona is revealed.
The goal going forward should obviously be to get Liliana on the Metia speaker to break the disruptive Authority of Wrath
By the way, I heard fans in japan were angry we got some of Al's backstory from the Break time re zero mini-sodes, was that in the light novel but cut from the anime?
it was cut from the anime yeah
This ep was so good and I enjoyed Priscilla a lot. Hopefully we get more of her craziness
Priscilla is pompous but makes it look cute somehow. A masochist would definitely fall for her.
I wish. She's just really annoying. Her character isn't sadistic. It's cocky.
@@VeraExoraShe got every right to be cocky considering she's the candidate doing the most for the city rn.

I feel that Subaru will in the future have crazy regeneration that will heal any wound that would be fatal and that would prevent him from using return by death and it will probably cause him to not being able to change anything if he can’t die
Those that read know already how the dragonblood has mostly been a debuff.
wil you ever cover lord of the mysteries?
Wait how did I miss the scenes with the dogs was that actually in episode 6?
Yeah it was at the very start of the episode
It was very brief and confusing. It was shown at the beginning while Subaru was drowning in the water.
I am the wings of my dragon
I know this is unrelated but when will overlord sacred kingdom be available to watch?
They changed it from the light novel right? Subaru supposed to be awake inside the city hall and he wake up with the sound of felix shouting
yes thats in the web novel
Nope that's in the WN. The LN is a compressed version of WN and can have many changes. It is also the source material for anime
Subaru is now discount Ziegfried
Priscila's got 2 reasons why we watch this anime
@AniNews I just watched episode 57 with Subaru making his broadcast. Please explain to me how he did not just set himself up to be forgotten by everybody and having an instant loss to the Sin Arch Bishop of Gluttony? He announced his full name to the entire city. There's no way he didn't just give it to Gluttony as well.
Gluttony already knows his full name considering he has Rem's memories
They stay doing Crusch so dirty
have you watched the Overlord movie sam?! It wss awesome 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
The one thing I'm sad got cut was Subaru pointing to Julius and calling him out when he talked about knights wanting to look cool. He commented on Julius' "finest of knights", saying Julius wanted to be cooler than anyone else, to which he didn't disagree with
Yeah that's important to understand more about Julius's resolve in Arc 6. Shame 😔
nice thumbnail
So, at which point was his cut off leg reattached to the stump that came into contact with the dragon blood?
It didn't reattach just regenerated the entire leg back
@@RandomCultistgiven how much the anime changed. It is entirely possible it is reattached in the anime.
@@ikengaspirit3063 No it's not though if u want to ask me the reason, it's a spoiler so I can't say it yet
Could someone explain a few things to me because I didn't fully understand it:
For webnovel I do suggest, "I summoned a skeleton"
The beginning after the end is being animated!!!!
Sam! 1 to 10 what do you rank Priscilla as a waifu?
I was wondering. What if the healing power of the dragon blood was applied to Subaru's whole body like Crusch? Would that sort of negate Subaru's return by death because he can't die through conventional means?
Wdym by "Like Crusch"? Crusch has received no healing powers from that cursed blood
@@PGray05Subaru can only Regen cause the mabeast curse and the dragon blood curse couldn’t overpower each other their clash caused a reverse effect where the place it contacted healed
See it as the reverse cursed technique in JJK 2 negatives make a positive
And your original question
It’s kinda a spoiler but all i say it can to an extent stop Subaru from dying since he lost a limb in a future arc but it regrew, but there is a catch since the dragon blood was gone after he regrew that limb again. (Btw it’s not confirmed it’s gone since the curse is still in him but Subaru peeled the dragon skin off his limb when it regrew)
When will you make Arifureta season 3 video.

are we getting the skipped content in time skip please?
is the manga behind the anime?
Yes
I hope you also make videos for HunterXHunter Dark continent
How'd he get his shoe back??
Not only the shoe. He woke up with a completely intact bandage around his leg. At this point i can just see it as a giant oversight.
@@malthus986It’s either a oversight (tho the author did not mention anything about it when he was posting live tweets) Or it has to do with Capela’s authority like how her clothes changed when she transformed
I don't read wn/ln. but since capella is a girl. she will be part of subaru's harem. every girl in this series is under subaru's gravitational pull. the only reason felt isn't part of it was reinhart's blessing.
@77Mehdi sirius is messed up in the head too 🤣
I've really tried but I can't bring myself to even BEGIN liking Priscilla. She helps people sometimes, yes, but the way she treats people frustrates me to no end. She's basically a slave owner and people are okay with it because she drops some half-heroic lines here and there. She'd kill innocent people in broad daylight but its apparently fine because she'd also keep 1 who happened to entertain her and offer them a slave contract too???
You sound like the little brother of a UA-camr named JuiceHead, are you two related?? 🤣
Wait wait how was crusch turned normal ? Was she a dragon and also she was flying somewhere else so how did she return ?
Crusch never turned into a dragon. Capella never said that it's her blood that transforms people into different creatures
Anyone know where his last checkpoint was?? Surely not still by the fountain🤔
It should probably be updated to waking up after the flood by now
11:50 does this guy appeared in season 1? I don't remember much of him

He was driving that super big dragon carriage that was carrying both Priscilla and Al to the Royal Castle
What was Subaru’s first curse ? It’s been so long that I forgot lol ! What its effects on him
It was the curse placed on him by those dog witch beasts in S1. It drains away all his mana as food for those dogs letting Subaru die from weakness
Another cut content showing missed opportunities that should be animated
What is the curse of the beast? ive looked it up, but like, what is it? where did it come from?
The curse that was placed on him by those dog witch beasts (Ulgrams) in S1 remember? There are multiple of them inside Subaru's body

@@SABZEROShabzero Ok then *Spoilers*
