Thank you so much dear lady for your kindness in sharing all you make. We have tried other recipes for bath bombs with no luck. I should say we had to add and subtract from what was told to do. Your recipes are right on. We use to have goats and I loved them so much. They were my friends and our children and grandchildren had so much fun as they were so tame. Now all are grown and our health poor we found these hobbies to keep active and our mind happy. Miss our goats and milk. Would sure enjoy making goat soap. God Bless you for your help with these fun and delightful projects. The family sure love getting a new gift as we try something different.
They are sooo cute!! Love them❤. Thank you !! Always enjoy how happy you always are with your results, even if they are not to your standards!! But they always come out so fine!! ❤ lovely , lovely! Very chatty!!
This recipe has saved my life! It is the first one that has worked for me. I love that it is by weight, it is my preferred recipe type. I didn’t have to waste time troubleshooting. Thank you so much 😊
Thank you for your help in making this project so much easier. You save me hours of struggling to make them because of your wonderful teaching skills. Thank you for sharing your recipes. Love you, Ellen, for your sweetness and talents.
Protect those wrists! I got tendonitis in my right wrist and it's taking months to heal so do whatever you can to protect your hands, it's what we work with and we need them x
Love these. You always do such a beautiful job. In making my own bath bombs I was surprised at how many colors that I have are not recommended for bath bombs. Most of the blues of any color were listed as not lip or bath bomb. So now any color I think about using I double check jar or their web site.
Very informative bath bomb lesson. I appreciate it. Did you by chance took a video of you dropping the bomb in the water? Just curious how it performed in the water.
Sitting in Urgent care with my son Oliver. He fell on the playground at school today and hurt his arm pretty bad. He was being chased by a couple of girls in his class and he climbed on a rock wall thing and fell off and landed on his arm. We have been watching your videos for about 2 hours now as a distraction. He asked me in the saddest voice Mom can we make bath bombs when we get home or make melt and pour soap? Thanks for all the videos you have posted. They are a nice distraction.
@@Jessicaakathesoaplady He is going much better now. He is finally in his cast not just a splint. He isn't in a lot of pain anymore. He just gets uncomfortable and it can be controlled with over-the-counter pain meds. Today is his first day back to school. He was glad to be back and see all his friends.
Just curious. Have you thought about the bath bomb press? I know its much bulkier and needs an air compressor. I've been fighting with whether or not to get it. It's just so expensive. Maybe I will try the one you have instead. My bath bomb skills are still a work in process.
I love your bath bombs! Always included a few with each order. Not exactly sure I would want the gingerbread, smells great I bet but sitting in brown water? Lol. PS: Your hair looks lovely
Ellen, I wonder, can honey powder be substituted for rhe baking soda in the cocoa butter drizzle or does it have to be baking soda? I have a ton of honey powder and need to use it. I make bubble scoops and was thinking of using rhe drizzle on top. Thoughts?
These are super cute Ellen , look good enough to eat , could i ask what setting you have your impulse sealer at i cant seem to get it to seal and pull away i end up using scissors ,x
@@EllenRuthSoap I've made soap cupcakes with it and I'll be making bath brittle and bubble scoops with it....another is Rain Forest and Victorian Rose...they smell amazing....I've tagged you on Instagram before...
Hi Ellen. A quick question. How much of mica do you add into the bath bomb recipe? And if I add abit more to have a Vibrant color , will it stain my bath tub? Or.. the poly 80 will help to prevent it from staining my bath tub?
I tend to go light on the micas in my bath bombs, but as long as they are skin safe you can go pretty vibrant with them. The poly 80 does help it from making a ring around the tub.
For whatever it’s worth, I bought a shrink wrap system. While it might seem like a great idea because it could potentially save you a bunch of time, I find it’s not saving me much time and seems to be actually taking at least the same amount of time as your set up because the film I got is so thin and I’m a lefty which makes it awkward too it’s a very annoying process for me to line things between the sheets of film just to have to do it over because it rips open so easily in the process I wish I had saved a lot of money and went the route you did to be honest
I love you, Ellen, but idk I'm just thinking how the half drizzle just doesn't look right. I hope that sells for you. The whole drizzle seems to look better. Am I the only one that sees this lol

Is there a natural substitute for Polysorbate 80. Love your videos!
Not that I know of.
Thanks for responding. Appreciate you ❤️

I really like the hand press for the price, and it's smaller to store also😉
Also where is the best place to buy oils like the fragrances and stuff that you use in bulk
Here's a video where I talk about where I get most of my supplies: ua-cam.com/video/5KMUc--yfVg/v-deo.html
I love your bath bombs! Always included a few with each order. Not exactly sure I would want the gingerbread, smells great I bet but sitting in brown water? Lol. PS: Your hair looks lovely
Thanks🥰 (p.s. the Gingerbread one makes a coffee with heavy cream color in the tub, so it's not too weird)

I'm not sure?? I suggest trying a small test batch and see how you like it.

I have to adjust my impluse sealer sometimes, as it gets older I'm needing to turn it up. It's just past the half way mark on my one.
@@EllenRuthSoap Just like me Ellen past the halfway mark and need adjusted as i get older lol. Thanks for letting me know . I will try that.
Where did you get that sealer?

Another lovely video. Are the jimmies sugar based? Do they melt in the bathtub?
Yes, they're just sugar and will disolve in the water😉
Can I use something else other than the cocoa butter for the topping and give me same results?
Cocoa butter has a high melting point and is hard when cool, making it a very stable "icing". You could try to sub with another hard butter or oil.
@@EllenRuthSoap thank you ❤️
What size is this donut mold
76 mm x 30 mm
Finished bath bomb weight (approx.) 4.5-5 oz
You should try Apple Pie from Crafters Choice...that has been my biggest hit so far...

@@EllenRuthSoap thanks Ellen! How big is the spoon you use for mica? Do you normally add one full teaspoon?
@@auds.smiley991 I start with about 1/4 tsp and work up to 1 full tsp sometimes
Have you ever used a fragrance oil with cinnamon or peppermint in a bath bomb? Just wondering how skin-safe they would be.
Good point. I suggest only using fragrance oils that are "skin safe" and give a proper usage rate😉
You are so fun and sweet to watch
Thank you💗
