I have been wearing Birkenstock shoes for over 40 years with two downsides when they are worn out the shoe is flat hurts to walk in (new is like walking on clouds and springs - a soft bouncy shoe with little to no discomfit to feet, legs, and back something no other shoe has done for me) in about 2 years of daily use and the other is I can not wear any other normal shoe because no other normal shoe is as comfortable to wear, and my feet are now too wide I cannot find a shoe as wide as Birkenstock I did look! And Birkenstock has a new sole for the shoe very sweet I love this shoe, I would pay double the price if asked too my feet are that important to me, I see the shoe as cheap to buy!
I’m a men’s 7.5 in nike. I got a pair of the 39 and 40s. The 40 is too big even though that’s supposed to be the 7.5. So I kept the 39 (which is like 6.5m)

As a woman unless you know that you have a wide foot I would try the medium/narrow. I wear medium/narrow and have a medium width foot. The wide does not work for me at all... too much room for my foot to slide around and the alignment for arch and heel cup doesn't work. Men have wider feet in general so wide works for most of them. I have been wearing Birks for decades and have never found anything more comfortable. Birks work with socks or no socks. It's about the comfort. 😎I've just found your channel and have subscribed. 👍
@brendajohnson5525 I'm a woman with a definitely wide foot (2E), so the Regular/Wide works perfectly for me. It's hard for me to find shoes that fit my wide feet -- even in men's -- and the Birks fit beautifully. Yay for Regular/Wide Birkenstocks! 😃🥰
Birkenstock has the widths in millimetres on their sizing chart. If you measure (a ruler with both cm and inches will work, just place your foot on there and use tape or something to mark the exact spot) you’ll know which one to buy. I thought the narrow would be right, but so glad I checked! Definitely needed the reg/wider one! You might find you’ve wider, but lower volume feet (which aren’t as full on the top of too high of an arch).
I started wearing Birkenstocks about 25 years ago. I had a pair that look like the Arizona sandals. They were comfy! But I lost track of them, and now I can’t find them.😢 oh well, now for a pair of Bostons!
For the summer I prefer the normal sandals or slides like the Arizona or Kyoto models. Just make sure you choose the models with leather in the interior because they are much more comfortable to wear.
Ive just had my boston sherlings delivered. I havent opened them yet but I bought 2 different sizes just to make sure. Delivery was a week from birkenstock so I bought both sizes. I'm normally a uk size 8 eu 42 but sizing is confusing. I plan to wear as house shoes like slippers. I bought some UGG tarmans but the sizing was way off and felt a bit cheap. Fingers crossed I love these birkenstocks I bought the pink ones they look so pretty.

In my case I went with a soft midsole foam? And the Vibram hiking boot soles. This was a perfect combo, and I had those Birks for about 20+ years until I lost them!!
I live in Myanamr and we have a lot of Rain , yes RAIN !! , one day my bostons wet soaked totally in water and it broke my heart and need a really intensive long time to dry back.

Venture Capitalists Bernard Arnault and his peers have swooped in on the opportunity to reap off the masses once BIRK begins appreciating. The sandal is a personal favorite though.
I know of a Birkenstock shopper in Berlin that owned equity under L Chatterton that privately manages the now publicly listed BIRK. She asked me if I was interested in getting shares early so as to earn a carry when they float the company
Interesting. I would have swallowed up that offer. Are you fr? What do you do? Are there tools that allow investors to invest in companies before they hit the stock market, multiplying those potential gains that otherwise wouldn’t be available after the initial public offering.
I have used the same money manager for close to 10 years. We got in fairly early with a modest amount of money. Then it mushroomed like an atomic bomb. We had over 4 million dollars after GameStop profits in 2020/2021. Inflation has eaten away at the nest egg but we are lucky to have Loren look after it diligently like she has done the past 8 years.
Great video bro. I have the soft suede maroon and yes, it is not a slip on! You have to bend and lift the upper to slip your feet in. But I have the soft bed and comfort grows as you wear them. I had a sandal in college and wore them out. Just make sure its a soft-bed, thats with the cork foot bed.

Short hair suede is actually nubuck leather, not suede 😄 it's more top layer of leather, just like oiled one, but buffed instead for that soft look. Suede is the lower layer of leather with no grain in it
I tried several pairs of the Bostons. My first, the Vegan option, felt cheap and uncomfortable. Second came the black oily leather with original footbed. Upper qualiy was nice, but felt a bit more snug due to the thickness of the leather, and the original footbed did not work for me. Lastly ( for now) was the black smooth Almafi leather version, with the soft footbed. Finally...perfection,or as close as I expect to get .No complaints what's so ever. Now I'm considering a pair of the black suede with the soft footbed as my next pair.
If you love the soft footbed, stalk their site occasionally because they change which shoes have or don't have the soft footbed. I first bought that footbed in Paris shoes which were like a Mary Jane and T strap combined and they were heaven. They don't make that style anymore. My black ones have been resoled three times and are just about really falling apart, after twelve years and a whole lot of mileage. Right now I've got a pair of purple Bostons and some black Kay SL with the soft footbed. It's a no-break-in shoe.
I have like 7 pairs of birks 2 are bostons. I want some black ones. I’m a little addicted. I cut hair and they save my legs and feet so much standing all day.
The vegan options are less durable. With a synthetic sock liner, it’s less abrasive resistant than suede which means the heel will start wearing out quicker
Hey man I'm new to your channel and love it. I've been wearing Bostons for a long time. Love your page and style. Keep on doing what you do....Big fan.
i went down a size and narrow cuz everyone said they fit big and now i have to do an exchange for regular width and my normal size .. wish i watched this before
I’m in the perfect position of being both a vegan and someone who has terrible circulation/chronically cold feet. Loving my boston’s and haven’t noticed my feet getting too hot! Breaking in well surprisingly for a non-leather shoe, also.
I got the suede taupe ones and the upper flops a bit but I absolutely love them. I’m going to have to get a pair, im typically wearing these after work.
Just got my first pair but the top of the 3rd and 4th toe are rubbing against the leather upper and I'm wondering if this is something that breaks in or do you think it's just not the right size? The length is perfect. Wanted to get your opinion before I committed to keeping these and breaking them in.
I just got the vegan bostons and I wore them all day and my feet hurt pretty bad. Mostly at my arch and I have like somewhat flat feet with small arch. I got the reagular wide btw. they do look good. I’m gonna keep trying to break them in I really hope they work out bc they’re very nice.
@@filipe-hb4yo so I still have them and wear the somewhat regularly and first of all they are very durable. The olive colored ones get dirty rather fast but they are very durable. They don’t hurt my feet anymore tho, i do feel they they are true to size but id recommend getting half size up on the “vegan” edition if you plan to wear socks with them. Other than that they are pretty decent shoes just wish they didn’t attract so much dirt. P.s they are super easy to clean, just meet like a wet paper towel or something like that 👍
What do you think of ROHDE Suede Leather, thise whi looks just the eame as Birkenstock Boston? Sadly they didnt have the Boston, so I went for the ROHDE. They are high end shoes, I guess, high price but a good bit under the Birkenstock though.
@@DrewJoiner Definitely! I went on a Boston buying spree this spring and bought 3 pairs of oiled leather and 1 pair of suede. The tobacco brown is for sure softer and more pliable than the other colors of oiled leather, but the suede is definitely fuzzy and doesn’t keep its shape as much as the oiled leather. I can slip on all my oiled leather ones, but the suede pair is so floppy I have to use a hand to put them on. Wasn’t trying to be critical - good video overall! Just pointing that out for potential buyers. Also, I think the tobacco brown is my favorite feel of all of them - super soft but not too floppy.

@@DrewJoiner my first pair I got in like 2015 (Arizona) they still look good and are the most comfortable pair of shoes I have.
Just got the Bold with the big buckle and the shearling. It’s an amazing shoe.
I feel like Drew has gotten weirder over the past year, but honestly, I love it! :D
😂😂
Love the way u explain and describe things 😂 definitely subscribing
I sized up because of a friend told me too and they feel great I hope I ain’t mess myself up
Living in Phoenix I have the stone colored Arizona’s. They been working good year around for the weather we get.
Could you do a review on the Birkenstock naples?
just got ordered some boston and London's! i found i needed to downsize toa uk 8 usually a 9
Can you make a video on how to style these please?
Great video really helped me with my purchase 🤝🤝
The vegan options are less durable. With a synthetic sock liner, it’s less abrasive resistant than suede which means the heel will start wearing out quicker
Those look so comfortable. I have birkenstocks sandals. I might have to purchase these clogs. I have waaay too many pairs of shoes
Hey man I'm new to your channel and love it. I've been wearing Bostons for a long time. Love your page and style. Keep on doing what you do....Big fan.
Thanks Charles! I appreciate the kind words
i went down a size and narrow cuz everyone said they fit big and now i have to do an exchange for regular width and my normal size .. wish i watched this before
Great review Drew 👍
Okay, I subscribed. Your singing was too cute to resist.🤍
Dude… you are now my favorite product reviewer. Thank you. 🙏🏼 "put your foot... inside the cloooog"💀
😂
loved the vid thinks for showing me where the rig was from on ig. Have to say made my day when i sore you replied
Of course 😁🤝
Sizing these are so hard. I got it wrong so many times. Each style is different.
did u go w/ the bigger or smaller size?:)
@@Filippaliv the smaller sizes worked for me.
@@Earthslittlesecrets Thank you!
Does suede leather make you sweat in summer?
where would you recommend to buy socks to pair with those Boston shoes~? like the ones you wore @5:15
I’m just gonna apply this to the Londonderry too then!
What are the yellowish socks? Is it kapital or another brand?
Kapital
where is the shirt from?
3sixteen
I’m in the perfect position of being both a vegan and someone who has terrible circulation/chronically cold feet. Loving my boston’s and haven’t noticed my feet getting too hot! Breaking in well surprisingly for a non-leather shoe, also.
say vegan a couple more times lol
@@Alan-rw3ez 😂😂
Any insights about soft footbed versus original?
The left shoe hurts around the arch help! size 43 medium width
Helpful video! Quick question: What is this sweet jazz sample in the background?
I got the suede taupe ones and the upper flops a bit but I absolutely love them. I’m going to have to get a pair, im typically wearing these after work.
bruh where u get em? The taupe suede pair literally sold out everywhere in size 7-7.5
Just got my first pair but the top of the 3rd and 4th toe are rubbing against the leather upper and I'm wondering if this is something that breaks in or do you think it's just not the right size? The length is perfect. Wanted to get your opinion before I committed to keeping these and breaking them in.
I got the clogs as birthday gift - got a size 43 wide and have never been able to wear them. I wouldve pref a 42wide or 43narrow.
Return them
Hey bro where do you get your socks? Btw nice video it really helps me
Kapital (green) druthersnyc (grey) glad I could help
I’ve owned a pair of Bostons for many years. They been slowly dying and just got a new pair! So stoked to have a new pair to last another 2 decades
Wearing my pair as we speak! Happy holidays
i have my arizonas but i want to buy the boston in the future, they look very cool
which is the most versatile colourway did you suggest?
I know this video is 2 years old but what did you guys end up picking up? Can’t decided between suede or oiled leather
Nice video! Is that oiled leather habana? What cream conditioner are you using?
I just got the vegan bostons and I wore them all day and my feet hurt pretty bad. Mostly at my arch and I have like somewhat flat feet with small arch. I got the reagular wide btw. they do look good. I’m gonna keep trying to break them in I really hope they work out bc they’re very nice.
Any update? I’m really curious because I’m scared to wear mine again they hurt my feet so bad lol.
update?
These demand socks in my opinion! :)
I choose no socks when wearing rubber/ EVA clogs like the Hydro Mocs, Sahele Crocs, Foam Runners etc
I am coming up on a year of wearing my Bostons and my only complaint is that I wish I could wear them in the rain
FYI, that clog you’re saying is suede isn’t, that is tobacco brown oiled leather.
Interesting, the darker brown version I have is also the oiled leather and has a totally different look and feel to the leather
@@yehoshua77 exactly! The tobacco is very very nice! I know you weren’t throwing shade man! I appreciate you commenting haha just some dudes who love birks lmao
I tried it before buying. I tried to get the fitting size but I did not feel it comfortable.
The insole is very hard.
can you provide the link to the low top socks you wore with them?
What socks are those? I’ve been looking for cozy socks to wear with my clogs 🫶
Which color?
@@DrewJoiner I really liked the green ones @ 5:21🤓
@@jorge4307 kapital socks
Yo Drew! Where do you get your socks?
I linked all the socks I could in the description
Is that the tobacco brown colour on the oiled leather?
How about a pair of Arizona?
where did u get the rug
