Nokia Asha 300 (2011) | Vintage Tech Showcase | Using The Nokia Asha 300 In 2022? | Retro Review

- In this video we take a look at the 2011 Nokia Asha 300 in my vintage tech showcase style of review! The Asha 300 is somewhat of a pseudo smartphone running Nokia's Series 40 OS and was released in 2011 alongside other Nokia Asha phones as budget and mid ranged phones running Nokia's old school Series 40 OS. This phone cheaply built but has some really good features considering it was a cheap and a solid overall phone. The Nokia Asha 300 has focusses more on software features and has a decent camera as well. The Asha 300 has also a really good battery life and a unique take on the Nokia Series 40 OS based on A combo Nokia Touch & Type style as seen previously. Sadly however, the Nokia Asha line up of phones were a good example of Nokia holding onto Symbian and Series 40 for too long and was the beginning of the end for Nokia. They moved onto lumia phones a bit later but their biggest mistake was not switching to Android.
Nevertheless, it is indeed a vintage Nokia or retro Nokia that needs to be addressed in a retro style review and I will be doing a video on Using Nokia Asha 300 in 2022 or Nokia Asha 300 2022, Nokia Symbian 2022, Symbian 2022 etc so stay tuned by subscribing! In this video we go over the Display, Nokia OS, Nokia Camera, Nokia Ringtones, Nokia Games, Battery And Power, Specifications, Additional Features and everything you need to know about the Nokia Asha 300.
These are not considered rare phones or collectible phones but I am still keeping them in my phone collection since they are considered as a vintage phones or retro phones...sorta
My collection also includes Nokia Prototypes, Blackberry Prototypes, Motorola Prototypes, Sony Ericsson prototypes, Sony Prototypes, HTC Prototypes, Rare Nokia and other rare developer devices! These phones are no Android 11 or Android 12 powerhouses and It also ain't no iPhone 13 Pro Max, Google Pixel 6a, Lumia 950Xl, Lumia 1520, Lumia 1020, Google Pixel 6 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, Motorola Edge S or OnePlus 8T but are definitely interesting phones on their own!

I had both, this one and the x3-02 that both ran whatsapp until ca 2015 which was all needed. But man in the end i had that yeeeears before woth ICQ on my Nokia E75with a full keyboard. That was great times ...
This is so much more interesting than regular slabs nowadays

The design looks far more elegant than all the new/remake dumbphone nokia releases these days.
All that 2011 computing power and technology packed into such a small space, and I'm using mine in 2024 as a bedside alarm clock and mp3 note-taker/voice recorder.😄
Surprisingly the original 13 year old battery is still effective too!

Nothing is voiced over separately...I use an iPhone 11 as the main POV camera and use the audio from that...I then use iMovie's built in auto audio balancer to get the background music and audio balanced up
